No, I feel that I am not valued as a subscriber due to other reasons than those stated above.
My subscription ends in about 2 weeks and I'm not planning to resubscribe. There's just to reason to keep a subscription going right now. 10% bonus is pretty useless when the base numbers are so low. For every 10 exp points you get one extra one. Less then motivating for sure. I don't get to keep any of the downloadable content for which I subscribe if the subscription ends and there's no real benefit to waiting when attempting to enter PVPland.

I'll just end my subscription for now and see if the new DLC is worth anything before I pay another dime.

    Better double or triple this...

Console release is in June, so surely we won't get any content before that and they will be busy roughly 2 months to fix bugs for consoles... so I won't expect any new content (aka zones, dungeons, trials, pvp additions) until August/September (4-5 months)... and that's even something I'd call optimistic.

It doesn't sound like you're supposed to feel valued as a subscriber? Eso went b2p... that's how you feel special, by buying the box.

Its only the deceptive f2p games that are effectively subscription only games that make an effort to make you feel valued.

    Eso is different:
    - Buying the box makes you feel valued because if you buy the box, there will be no gameplay restrictions.
    - Buying crowns makes you valued, because if you pay for these, you can claim items out of the crown store at your choosing.

If you want to feel special for subscribing this game is not it.. They're not trying to twist you into thinking that subscribing is special.. ESO IS B2P, there is 0 effort pretending to be otherwise, which is exactly why you don't feel valued.

Lmao nope, nice opinion tho.i dont feel valued due to a long list of nonsense some stuff is still here from beta .....

I don't think we should be getting advertisements across our screen in three different languages if we are paying a monthly sub for the game. It's a little distracting, but more importantly it's tactless when do you it to people paying a monthly subscription. ZOS should not do this again. A mail or a system message in chat would have been sufficient.

    I've also unsubbed.

Been a member since November 2013. Yep, 2013.

Subbed continually since pre-release. Pre-ordered the Imperial Edition w/ Adventurer Pack (which we were told was a limited time release.. just like the Senche I guess....).

Had high hopes for this game. Especially when they said they were going with a sub model because that was the only way to provide the quality game they wanted and keep up with the content updates they wanted.

Well..unfortunately, none of it was true. The only content we've seen in a year is Craglorn, which was actually supposed to be included at launch but got delayed.

They had promised Theives Guild and Dark Brotherhood by 1.3. Never happened.

They showed off Imperial City and Osirim at Quake Con last year, saying they were close to release. Never happened.

They promised us Justice System with PvP. PvP part never happened, what we got was half baked "max out your stealing every day to get a sneak cost reduction" system.

They promised us massive PvP battles with 100's of players on screen at a time. Never happened.. now the server is brought to it's knees with 2 raid groups, fully desynching damage and crashing/disconnecting many people. Lag in PvP has only gotten worse since 1.4.

We were told by Matt Friror they wanted to go with a sub model because they felt that advertising to players while they were in the middle of playing went against what ZoS was trying to accomplish. Apparently that mentality didn't last as they are now abusing the broadcast system to spam messages about limited time mounts in the store.

Then they flat out lie to us and tell us they couldn't use in-game mail to notify people about the mount. Even though they have no problem using in-game mail for loyalty rewards just short time ago.

I guess this is what console gamers have to look forward to.

I honestly think ZOS is just trying to push the console edition out to make a few bucks before shutting the servers down. Because the path they are on does not seem like the path a long-term MMO would take.

Ya, but I don't think Crown sales are exactly skyrocketing either.

Most of the crown store stuff you're seeing in game are from people who had long-term subs that got crowns for buying the box, subbing first month, and the whopping 100 crowns per month for past subscribers.

I'm guessing the loss in subs after boing to B2P is 100 times higher than what they are seeing in crown sales.

That's primarily because the crown store offerings themselves are really pretty lackluster. You should SEE the suggestion thread over in the Developers forums where they have asked players what they WANT to see in the crown store. TON of really good input....and NONE of it showing up in the store yet. It boggles the mind.

I just, don't feel we are getting much for our money with the current PLUS iteration. The crown allowance really doesn't allow purchasing much or much value, and while I personally haven't experienced all of the game, I feel like we need to see a more progressive move towards new content. PLUS members should also be exempt from seeing any form of in game ads.

That said I do appreciate the gold and xp boosts. That's nice.

    No.

I don't feel 'as' valued as I should be. I understand it's a new system but I think it should be better.

    I don't want it to become "Pay to Win" but;

    1) The XP gain is trivial at best. I understand not making 2X the speed but 10% is too small. I suggest at least a 25% increase.
    2) Subscribers should always be "enlightened" and on top of that an extra boost to it's XP gain as well for Champion points. Or always enlightened + every Champion point is worth 2.
    3) More crowns per month (or in my case 6) it feels just buying them is cheaper and the bonuses are not 'worth' the extra cost right now.
    4) Once a month Subscribers get a free gift. Unique to us (if one is made) or of our choosing from the Crown store (Unrelated to Crowns you have). This 'gift' must be used on the month it's given. Unless the person did not log in at all to receive it (as life can get in the way sometimes).
    5) Horse skill refresh every 8-10 hours instead of 20.
    6) Research time is shortened by half on all crafting.
    7) How about an equip-able wearable banner for subscribers? Or if cloaks or capes are ever introduced one of those special for subscribers.
    8) Once the barber and characters body/face editor is finally introduced (really waiting for that!) it could be free to subs (if it's a crown purchase) and if it's in game than it's 0 gold (or a very small amount).
    9) If new armor styles or an alternative armor style for the current races is introduced (like 2 heavy Nord styles, 2 Nord Medium etc.) it should be made free for subs. The crown store is great but I want to get really substantial things as well not just pets and costumes.
    EDIT:
    10) Gold increase is also too small, needs to be more substantial

These are really small things that only go a to show some care towards loyal paying customers. I don't expect nor demand any of these. But I think these rewards can go a long way in terms of making most subs happier.

I voted no for other reasons:
1: I like P2P games over f2p/b2p, as they always go pay to win eventually. This is actually the main reason I played TESO.
2: They handled the entire going b2p VERY VERY wrong in my opinion, if a new month is worth 1500 crowns, all previous months should have been valued the same! By how quick they choose to change the payment model, they should have reverted the change from the day the game went live.
3: They announced as late as possible that they were going b2p, if they had announced it sooner, I would have dropped my sub alot sooner. The only reason I kept my sub going was because I was waiting for fixes and more content, the game's "base" felt complete as a great startingpoint to expand the game on if it was kept P2P.
4: There is absolutely nothing of value added when paying for a eso+ sub. Add to that that there is absolutely not even anything remotely interesting in the crown.
5: Omg, some [snip] outfits in the crownstore are going to ruin the game! When playing a fantasy game like TESO, I want to feel immersed in the world. When you add joker/brides costumes and other crap into the store, I don't even want to log in anymore! Bridesdress for males??!! [snip]
6: If I had known they would go b2p this fast, I would never even have bought the game and any sub time to begin with! [snip]

Anyways, those are just my reasons. They had a great payment model, and a great "base" game to expand upon, I saw the potential, but they messed it all up.

I know this do sound harsh but it wouldnt surprise me if ESO will be a console exclusive game in the end.
Looking back at all content that was supposed to be comming each 4-6 weeks but disapeared indefinatly, the huge losses of players after launch & giving up on fixing lags etc gives me the feeling they simply been doing CPR with their "content patches" and had them as life support system adding just enough to not kill off the players that remained and not look bad for console release.

I want to say yes, because I have seen a decent stream of bug fixes and skill adjustments (not all of which I necessarily agree with on a number-by-number basis, but at least there is a steady stream of adjustment being made), and there WAS a period of new content...

    but...

all in all - I feel like the content I was most interested in (expanded gameplay features, zones, story content) and *presumably* paying for, have all been suspended more or less since craglorn (yes, the justice system came out - at least, a part of it...) - I feel like the content I was *expecting* to get from my subscription was put on hold...indefinitely, while the game was more or less cloned into console form that I *personally* will never see, benefit from or particularly care about.

as well, the fraction of resources that HAVE remained committed to the pc-side of ESO have all been diverted to the crown store - a feature which I don't mind, right up until I realize that they're spending time and resources developing THAT instead of the stuff I actually want.

In short, I'd love the crown store, if it was coded and QA'd by magical elves and cost nothing but wishes and rainbows, but since it takes up man-hours and money, it's ultimately draining effort and material away from the stuff I actually want more of, and *presumably* am paying for with my subscription.

So, ultimately - I have to vote no. I don't *currently* feel like my subscription gets spent on anything that *I* want it to go to - and although I'd *LIKE* to believe that once the console versions FINALLY get released, they'll go back to developing story, zone, and gameplay features with ALL our collected monies - I have very little faith that anything will get any serious attention at the moment...

The lack of professionalism is what bothers me with that. There's a massive number of creative and even artistic ways of pulling it off, but they went with a very poor method. Just plain lazy.

    continued lag...

The reason this bothers me is that I do not see the money I put into the game being used to improve it.

    lack of new content...

This bothers me when I see development promises made over a year ago still not being worked on. Gives the impression that every penny I sink into ZOS is going right into making the console version, a version I will never be playing, and not into the version I do play. I can expect that if ZOS goes to Quakecon this year, it will be the exact same presentation as Quakecon 2014. I find the division of builds between three platforms will severely handicap their ability to produce more content in a timely manner, and the PC version being a continued test bed for future builds, continually keeping the PC build in a lower quality state (buggy, laggy, less responsive, etc.) than the consoles.

and a feeling that my feedback isn't valued or heard...

I know they hear me, I've been loud enough too warrant them pushing the mute button on the remote. My issue is I don't think I'm being heard or valued by the people that make the decisions, the guys pulling the strings. Pretty sure the people busting their asses to work on the game can hear me just fine, though whether they value that is entirely subjective. I don't presume just because I have an opinion that it is valid, correct, or even worthy taking note of, nor do I require it to be perceived as such. I'm not entitled to be heard, I'm not entitled to be valued, but I am entitled to my opinion...and that opinion prefers to be valued and heard :p

Honestly this is quite standard for sub on b2p/f2p games. you get xp/gold boost and a set amount of crowns for each month you subscribed. Those who think they need more should go play a game such as tera (all the do is the same as eso) SWTOR does the same AND unlocks the rest of the game for you, so unless you want them to lock stuff behind cashwalls that WAS originally part of the game then granting those to subscribers i recommend playing swtor for that.

Very well said, +1, and mirrors exactly what I think too.

Does anyone have some spam screen shots? I've never seen it and dying to know what the heck you guys are talking about???

I missed a screenie of the English version, but fortunately ZoS was kind enough to spam it again 5 seconds later in French, then German. This was from a few days ago, if there have been more since, I don't know, but here ya go:

In English, the message read "Add the Senche-Leopard to your mount collection, today! Only available in the Crown Store (press ",") until 4/20."

    Thank you!
My comrades have returned. I erect the spine of gratitude. You are a hero today. - Bura-Natoo
