Reading all this and thinking about it makes me foolish for continuing my subscriptions.
Grinding CP doing the same content is not fun.
See you all when this shakes out /wave

Time to share some information with us all I think.

This would be nice. A lack of information and (worse) misinformation (as we saw in ZOS' official response to Saturday's in-game spam) only leads to frustration. An honest roadmap for the next six months and a commitment not to spam subscribers in-game ever again would be a great start.
Why is it difficult to feel valued as a subscriber? How about the lack of response to any of the issues address in a thread, on the official forums, dedicated to whether or not subscribers feel valued, wherein a pole indicates that the majority of subscribers do not feel valued?
I'm sure that ZOS has more access to whether or not the pole reflects any actual subscriber numbers, but it would still speak well of them.
The usual silence, however, is getting old.
already up to 60% of the people voting are voting NO. Pay attention to this please Zenimax!
Given the fact that these forum polls don't reflect the entire population, I'm not sure what, if any actual impact this will have on ZOS.
I'm not the only one who keeps getting disappointed by the ongoing choices to act in a less than thoughtful and ethical manner.
They keep doing it in spite of the pushback they have gotten for previous poor communications. See any of @Varicite 's posts on the issue. S/he describes it so much more eloquently than I can.
I felt more valued before 1.6... We are currently in the longest drought of ESO content and still have a month or two before anything new comes. It honestly amazes me that the Imperial City is STILL not out.

That's being optimistic. They already said no content release until console release "settles down" which in my view would be 2 months minimum. That's 4 months away. At least 6 months is probably more accurate which puts it at October or November..just before Christmas.
I've also unsubbed.
Been a member since November 2013. Yep, 2013.
Subbed continually since pre-release. Pre-ordered the Imperial Edition w/ Adventurer Pack (which we were told was a limited time release.. just like the Senche I guess....).
Had high hopes for this game. Especially when they said they were going with a sub model because that was the only way to provide the quality game they wanted and keep up with the content updates they wanted.
Well..unfortunately, none of it was true. The only content we've seen in a year is Craglorn, which was actually supposed to be included at launch but got delayed.
They had promised Theives Guild and Dark Brotherhood by 1.3. Never happened.
They showed off Imperial City and Osirim at Quake Con last year, saying they were close to release. Never happened.
They promised us Justice System with PvP. PvP part never happened, what we got was half baked "max out your stealing every day to get a sneak cost reduction" system.
They promised us massive PvP battles with 100's of players on screen at a time. Never happened.. now the server is brought to it's knees with 2 raid groups, fully desynching damage and crashing/disconnecting many people. Lag in PvP has only gotten worse since 1.4.
We were told by Matt Friror they wanted to go with a sub model because they felt that advertising to players while they were in the middle of playing went against what ZoS was trying to accomplish. Apparently that mentality didn't last as they are now abusing the broadcast system to spam messages about limited time mounts in the store.
Then they flat out lie to us and tell us they couldn't use in-game mail to notify people about the mount. Even though they have no problem using in-game mail for loyalty rewards just short time ago.
I guess this is what console gamers have to look forward to.
I honestly think ZOS is just trying to push the console edition out to make a few bucks before shutting the servers down. Because the path they are on does not seem like the path a long-term MMO would take.

September 2013 here. I feel your pain.
I see a lot of "upstarts" come into the forum spreading rainbows and unicorns, and I really do want to believe it again- but it gets really difficult after such a long time. They'll just have to see it for themselves, or not.
I know I'm at the "I'll believe it when I SEE it" stage.

I just think it's sad that some try to discount others experiences because they're still in the "novelty" phase. "Oh you're just a hater!" etc. The reality is, most of us who've been around this long LOVE this game- if we didn't we simply wouldn't have been around this long- we would have moved on a long time ago. We just don't like being lied to, strung along, and manipulated. How's that for "intent"?
@Bouvin is completely accurate with a lot of what was said, IMO. One perspective is never the "whole truth" but it's definitely not subtractive from it, either.

Definitely agree. We've all been in the rainbows and unicorns spot with ZOS. I sincerely hope behavior is changed so that new players can stay like that.

We understand this was not appreciated or desired, and will find better ways to message limited Crown Store items that do not interfere with your gameplay experience.
