Vamp Sorc

Ok i just came back to the game and was wondering if it is still worth it to be a Vamp Sorc. I went that route and it seems to me that i am insta-killed by all the fire damage (even with fire resist jewelry). Should i cure it and just go back to my old non-vamp self?

I did for what it's worth. The pros weren't worth the cons imo.

ZOS has done a "great" job of nerfing vamps into the ground and making them nearly unplayable. I have 2 vamps and I refuse to cure them but you can bet I won't be making any more.

There are Vamp Sorc builds that largely used the Vamp passives to buff the magicka effectiveness of being a Sorc. Here are a couple that might be of interest. Oh, and there is some unexpected entertainment at 5:04 into the first video...

I cured vamp and went werewolf and then back to vamp. Don't even bother with fire resist glyphs either. Yeah it can be annoying because siege completely buggers you as a non vamp nowadays so it is even worse as a vampire, but the regen buff is too good to ignore.

Not sure what you mean by "magicka effectiveness". You're talking about a measly 10% increase to mag regen I think? maybe I missed something.

Every other skill or passive only relates to stealth, HP, ult recovery, damage reduction, movement speed and stam. From what I see, and correct me if I'm wrong pls, "supernatural recovery" is the only magicka related passive or skill in the vampire tree......

It still has its benefits, though it is quite a bit harder to play than it once was.

They've nerfed an awful lot.
