Ok i just came back to the game and was wondering if it is still worth it to be a Vamp Sorc. I went that route and it seems to me that i am insta-killed by all the fire damage (even with fire resist jewelry). Should i cure it and just go back to my old non-vamp self?

There are Vamp Sorc builds that largely used the Vamp passives to buff the magicka effectiveness of being a Sorc. Here are a couple that might be of interest. Oh, and there is some unexpected entertainment at 5:04 into the first video...Ok i just came back to the game and was wondering if it is still worth it to be a Vamp Sorc.

✭I cured vamp and went werewolf and then back to vamp. Don't even bother with fire resist glyphs either. Yeah it can be annoying because siege completely buggers you as a non vamp nowadays so it is even worse as a vampire, but the regen buff is too good to ignore.Lastobeth - VR16 Sorc - PvP Rank 41 (AD)

✭Not sure what you mean by "magicka effectiveness". You're talking about a measly 10% increase to mag regen I think? maybe I missed something.
Every other skill or passive only relates to stealth, HP, ult recovery, damage reduction, movement speed and stam. They've nerfed an awful lot.Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...
Earn it.
IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.I am neither warm, nor fuzzy...
Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS0
