Nope, vampire/ww came with the base game.
No it didn't!! you couldn't unlock the skill trees until dawnguard

The ability to become ww is a companion quest (base game), the ability to become a vampire is a "find the disease in the wild" (base game).

Dawnguard only expanded the afflictions. You can contract Lycanthropy and Vampirism in the base game. Please play Skyrim.

All my characters aquifer it naturally, meaning from NPC bites. Have never understood the need to buy a bite and even less to spend real world $ for one other than laziness.
Firstly why would you want to pay for something that's available free in game?
Secondly it may not be pay to win in the sense that being a vampire or werewolf doesn't give you a massive advantage but it's definitely in the category of pay to skip playing (part of) the game.
You may as well ask to buy access to the Fighters and Mages guilds, so you don't have to do the 1st quest. It's the same idea - paying to skip past a part of the game - and equally pointless since you can find people offering free bites in the starter towns along with those quests. (Or people recruiting for guilds, which will quite likely have at least one vampire or werewolf willing to bite members.)
I believe that if you kill a werewolf, stuff his head and hang it on your wall, then you have a Lycantrophy.

Can you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth if they offered a consumable in the crown store that gave you the infection, and then low level newbies bought it and were unable to complete the quest in the 7 days? Methinks there would be some angry folks demanding refunds... Yup, I'm of the opinion that this is not a good idea.I don't think it would make much sense, since becoming a WW or a Vampire requires more than just being bitten. It requires you to complete a series of quests. The bite applies a limited time buff that allows you to do the quest. I just don't think it would work, regardless of whether or not they should or shouldn't do it.

Who is surprised by this once that Pandora's Box was opened? It will continue. Players will ask for everything already in the game (buying VR14 was suggested several weeks ago) and for things not currently in the game that they want from other games (such as fighting NPC companions, also suggested several weeks ago).I can't even... on this continued "put this in crown store".
Actually they wouldn't have to redo it for everyone if they let the people who pay crowns have the ability full-on without doing the quest line. Can you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth if they offered a consumable in the crown store that gave you the infection, and then low level newbies bought it and were unable to complete the quest in the 7 days? That was exactly my thought. It just doesn't seem do-able. They'd have to completely redo how you obtain them for everyone.

Completely agree. It's really unbearable. You know it's just a matter of time before ZOS starts listening to them, too. I have already started looking for another game tbh. All I see from ESO's future is this type of crap getting worse.
xMovingTarget wrote: »I dont think these are trolls, but credit card heroes.
But where does it stop? If they went this path how long till emperor is there or future skill lines of the sort. I dont mind giving away my bites if just to keep this out of the store. Got to be careful before eso becomes swtor and just favors cartel or crown players only. By this i mean making things in the game harder than they should be to make people want to take a short cut.
It is a very very slippery slope
I don't remember the community being against chat bubbles per se. The community has seemed to be against forced chat bubbles. And the only argument I remember seeing against duels is that people could troll you by spamming duel requests, but I would imagine that it would be easy to put in place an "ignore duel requests" option, or an option to ignore duel requests from people on your ignore list.JoseDelgadoCub17_ESO wrote: »not trolling... but I mean the ESO community is also against duels and was pretty much against chat bubbles... so what can you expect.
