with Skyrim you had to buy the dawnguard dlc to be either of them, so I say yes buying it apart of a bundle potion pack in this game would be fine!!

Nope, vampire/ww came with the base game.

No it didn't!! you couldn't unlock the skill trees until dawnguard

You could become a vampire or werewolf in the base game, but you got all the bonuses automatically. Dawnguard simply added skill trees for them.

I can't remember how you become a vampire but becoming a werewolf is part of the Companion's quest line.

The ability to become ww is a companion quest (base game), the ability to become a vampire is a "find the disease in the wild" (base game).

Dawnguard only expanded the afflictions. You can contract Lycanthropy and Vampirism in the base game. Please play Skyrim.

I don't think this is play to win as long as they don't remove the ability for players to bite other players or get the infection from NPC's in-game. Its to easy to get either of these bites by either figuring out the spawn times or getting another player to bite you for gold or the kindness of their hart.

If they added this to the crown store it would just target the new players to the game that wanted to start from level 1 as a Vamp/WW. I would consider a player to be stupid or lazy to buy this from the store, but there are plenty that would.

I would have no problem with this simply because it does not make a player better to or equal to another player. If the player really wanted Vamp/WW he/she would get it before they became competitive in PvP or PVE anyways. It would just make his questing a little more fun for the player. Vamp/WW is just that easy to get in game, let Zos make a few bucks off people that want it from level 1.

I have over 800 hours into Skyrim, um I like Morrowind and Oblivion better thanks tho. Anyhow I am an Argonian so I have natural resistances and while I stand corrected you can become a werewolf with hercines ring or completing the companions quest to which I forgot about cus I didn't show any interest until I bought dawnguard. and vampire is never been an interest to me.. but yes I forgot I thought that you could only become those when you buy the dawnguard dlc but it was to become vampire lord and unlock the skill trees.. so I was half right!

While I would like to see things FOR vamps and wolves sold in the store (since that is obviously the only thing ZOS is ever going to consider doing for them aside from nerfing them even more into unplayability) the skill lines themselves are easily acquired in the game and need to remain as is.

This is just silly. Having had vamp on 2 characters and werewolf on 4 I've seems it's the easiest thing in the game to acquire. All my characters aquifer it naturally, meaning from NPC bites. Have never understood the need to buy a bite and even less to spend real world $ for one other than laziness.

Laziness being the key word. We all know that players would pay "money" for this and Vamp/WW bites fit the definition of convenience items because they are too easy to obtain in-game.

Firstly why would you want to pay for something that's available free in game?

Secondly it may not be pay to win in the sense that being a vampire or werewolf doesn't give you a massive advantage but it's definitely in the category of pay to skip playing (part of) the game.

You may as well ask to buy access to the Fighters and Mages guilds, so you don't have to do the 1st quest. It's the same idea - paying to skip past a part of the game - and equally pointless since you can find people offering free bites in the starter towns along with those quests. (Or people recruiting for guilds, which will quite likely have at least one vampire or werewolf willing to bite members.)

i mean you can also get a motif for free and... it's on the store
also my bad on the lycanthropy being misspelled.

I don't think it would make much sense, since becoming a WW or a Vampire requires more than just being bitten. It requires you to complete a series of quests. The bite applies a limited time buff that allows you to do the quest. I just don't think it would work, regardless of whether or not they should or shouldn't do it.

Can you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth if they offered a consumable in the crown store that gave you the infection, and then low level newbies bought it and were unable to complete the quest in the 7 days? Methinks there would be some angry folks demanding refunds... Yup, I'm of the opinion that this is not a good idea.

I say no because players might not like it, have to get cured and lose out on those crowns (thus massively complaining to ZOS).

That was exactly my thought. It just doesn't seem do-able. They'd have to completely redo how you obtain them for everyone.

I can't even... on this continued "put this in crown store".
Who is surprised by this once that Pandora's Box was opened? It will continue. Players will ask for everything already in the game (buying VR14 was suggested several weeks ago) and for things not currently in the game that they want from other games (such as fighting NPC companions, also suggested several weeks ago).

Actually they wouldn't have to redo it for everyone if they let the people who pay crowns have the ability full-on without doing the quest line.

There is precedence now with the new crown store purple motifs that don't require the minimum crafting passives that are required to use the in-game purple motifs.

I am not supporting this idea -
I'm just saying don't assume that it would have to work the same way as it does in game.

From a werewolf's point of view it was more immersive being attacked in Reaper's March when the moons were out and then having to beat a quest which used to be a challenge.

But where does it stop? If they went this path how long till emperor is there or future skill lines of the sort. I dont mind giving away my bites if just to keep this out of the store. Got to be careful before eso becomes swtor and just favors cartel or crown players only. By this i mean making things in the game harder than they should be to make people want to take a short cut.

It is a very very slippery slope :(

Tricky to say, and its very easy to find free bites in game now a-days.

People like me give out werewolf bites once a week free of charge, have yet to make a vampire char but if such a thing ends up in the crown store will make one just so people aren't tempted or feel pressured to buy vampire bites from the store.

More they would add a new skill line so it isn't called emp more war veteran skills.

Kinda like the did with the preorder bonus pack, different names, but same thing

I don't remember the community being against chat bubbles per se. The community has seemed to be against forced chat bubbles. And the only argument I remember seeing against duels is that people could troll you by spamming duel requests, but I would imagine that it would be easy to put in place an "ignore duel requests" option, or an option to ignore duel requests from people on your ignore list.
