Gold crafting materials are a convenience item?

Just about everything can be considered a convenience item. However, selling something for cash that gives an actual advantage to your current state of character is where the line should be drawn.

The gold crafting tempers would be considered selling an advantage over those who cannot purchase the item from the store due to financial reasons.

Everything else in the store right now is either cosmetic, or the lowest option available.

If exp potions are coming AND ESO plus speeds up leveling why wouldn't certain hard to get items be placed in the crown store?

It doesn't hurt anyone, it doesn't give any advantage over another player

    Just example:
    1 attempt on 1 weekly
    Want more?Buy it!

    Seems legit.As if you want weekly reward-do it several times.Wants fast-pay :)

I think gold tempers would be p2w because gold is better than any other level of armor/weapon

Agreed. My Legendary Gold Armor is way better than the same piece in white. Gold tempers change stats and are not convenience.

No, no, no, and no. This would be no different than buying a full set of legendary gear/weapons with your credit card, and as such would be about as P2W as it can get.

Everything in the game can be considered convenience, crafted sets, warlock rings, tempers, pvp & trails rewards, they can all be justified in the same way. Convenience items are literally everything currently in-game.

Nailed it! This is why using the word "convenience" is a really really really bad idea.

yeah its all twisting words, much like using b2p instead of f2p etc. anyway, I wouldnt mind that much if every item there is was sold at the store if it wasnt for that drop rates of such items in games with item stores always takes a deep dive and stuff that previously was considered close to common suddently gets very rare...

Wearing full Legendary gear does give a bit of an advantage.

If we never have to actually work for anything in the game, what's the point? Not a judgement, I just really don't understand.

I mentioned this prospect in multiple threads when B2P + convenience store was announced. As much as i dread it, I would be incredibly surprised if crafting materials didn't end up in the store under the label of "convenience".

I want a Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch convenience item for when I want to win at PvP but don't want to press a bunch of buttons.

Are you serious? Are you even aware of the difference in stats from green gear to gold gear? Wow

Guys its only pay to win if its not available in the game. Pay to win means stuff on the store that is only available from the store. That being said it will most likely be quite some time before we see anything like this in the store.

Well if they were to put crafting tempers in the store, you and the other 20 remaining players would have the option to buy them. I can't even believe some of the comments I am reading.

Maybe because I am one of the dinosaurs that was happy to pay a subscription and every one of my fears and predictions about ESO going B2P are slowly and steadily coming true.
