I use way more then that each month. I use a minimum of TB a month.
I can kind of see his point here. Comcast gives me a data cap of 300GB per month. It's extra if I go over (and I do go over). But, honestly, my service is so cheap for the speeds I get that I don't really care that much.

Besides, in today's technological world 80GB is nothing to a lot of people. Laptops are shipping with 2-3TB standard now.
The biggest bottleneck is honestly internet speed, and if you live in any city that's "advanced" enough to have cable (seriously, cable is on the way out thanks to Google Fiber and many still don't have cable) then it won't take any time to download.
I have neither of those issues...
SSD space (SSD for games only): 250GB...check
Internet Speed: 105Mbps DL, 20Mbps UL...check
Internet Data Cap: None
Installing ESO: Double-click on installer...loading reaches 100%, then nothing happens...fail
You shouldn't be installing games on an SSD for this exact reason. SSDs are meant for performance, not storage.
EDIT: And I should add that the performance increase you get from games on an SSD is negligible.
Wrong and...wrong!
My advice to you is to not offer up advice when you don't know what you are talking about.
A lot of games will not see a discernible performance increase from being installed on an SSD, MMOs however, which access and load large amounts of data at a time (i.e. zones/loading areas) do in fact see performance gains from being installed on an SSD.
So, you may want to do some more research and get your facts straight before offering up advice about things in which you are clearly uninformed.

I agree, I have noticed a huge speeding up of load screens in ESO and other MMO I play since adding a SSD.
I have 2 now, 1 for my OS the other for games and I have a Hybrid for storage of Music, Pictures and games I feel won't benefit from my SSD.
Everyone I know with SSD have also noticed an improvement and it is measurable as I got a few friends to upgrade when they realised I was loading into a zone way before them when we started at the same time.

There are hundreds of threads on the Support page with Hundreds of replies from users on this one issue, which has been an issue currently forever for this game...
Not to mention when you get into the game there are still the same bugged skills (cloak anyone!) and the same if not worse Lag.
So the Op's title "1 year still broken" is correct. All you defenders cannot say these bugs and issues don't exist they are well documented.
I would love the game to work well, but it just doesn't, which is a shame as it is an amazing game visually and PVP would be the best ever, if it worked......
I had the exact same experience trying to log in my account and, even once I received the e-mail, it took two attempts to make it work.Warlordgreebo wrote: »And no, my email wasnt the flaw, it was the fact that they took 2 freaking hours to send a security code, that normal companies send in like 5 seconds.

Or the time I sent a ticket because I lost crafting materials in my bank (after patching to v1.6) and was told that I'd get a rep to look into the matter. All I got was an e-mail stating that if I didn't have any problems, they'd close the ticket. I e-mailed them back stating they didn't do jack-!@#$ to fix my problem and my ticket was closed.
I didn't care about my mats to make it such a big deal, but the way they treated my problem lacks professionalism.
I wouldn't blame the game for this, though, but the customer service is run by pure incompetence.
The game is just slightly over 80GB, and rightly so. It's easily the best looking MMO on the market.

Sylveria_Relden wrote: »Actually I've noticed something recently myself with the launcher - but I happen to have my install located on an SSD (as a speed test).
When I've got it on a standard hard drive I've never had issues with it calling for repair- but the SSD one randomly pops up with a message it needs to repair. I just ignore it, close the launcher, relaunch and it works fine. Not sure if this is due to the DRM stuff they've got programmed into the game to protect it or what, but the way SSD's work are completely different from standard hard drives- so it may be a bug.
Just something to test- try closing the launcher, relaunch it then see what it does.

The examples you brought up are completely off subject. OP is complaining that his launcher isn't working because he refuses to listen to support for w/e reason, and because he doesn't listen to support and the problem persists he says that its supports fault and they need to get better.
OP is just being an angry child at this point.
liquid_wolf wrote: »Not sure what to tell the OP...
It wouldn't install at his house... but it did install and work properly when he went to someone else's house.
The problem appears to be the connection/service at his house. Maybe his router/modem, but still has nothing to do with the installer/launcher since it was proven to work elsewhere.

Exactly! I have friends that have migrated over to SSDs as well after playing with me and always falling behind after I am loading in faster than they are. I too have one for my OS (which is where you will see the biggest performance gains) and two others for certain games that seem to benefit from an SSD.
I also have an HDD for other storage, i.e. files and other games that don't benefit from an SSD.

I have a 1 week debacle trying to get the client to work at all. Bottom line is I had to re-download the whole client after doing a repair, also had to re-download the launcher which I did first.
Funny part- Support gives me false suggestions like my 'connection' was the problem.... lets certainly hope not - never had a problem with other mmo's. Then suggests that the consultant sais "I have an old launcher" - again false... I literally had just installed a new one before sending my Consultant text.
Okay fine, I let it slide. YOur support is clueless, what else is new? So, I go to upgrade my account. I get forced to enter a code that is never sent. Yep, no spam, no social no promotions.
Well guess what- you put your people through that much crap... no sub.
