I am a returning player from beta, and launch. I had several characters leveled up and had several items in the bank and on my toons. Now I logged on after being away for a while to prepare for the console launches so I can transfer my characters over to my PS4 and when i log back in after downloading the client, installing it and all the patches, to find out that all of my characters have been deleted....

I have a ticket opened : 150411-001651

I am currently running the repair tool to see if it will make a difference and return my missing characters to my roaster, but I highly doubt it.

I need help and I sat on customer service phone line for about 1 hour to have it hang up on me at the end.

Please help!!!

Repair tool was unsuccessful.

Priority needs to be addressed for me on this one.

Do I need to subscribe to the game again in order for me to get my characters back?

    Hiya,

    just a quick idea that popped into mind, have you logged to both us and eu servers to look for your characters?
    Early bird gets the worm, but second mouse gets the cheese.

    I can try to log into EU, but I do not think I was ever on the EU servers

    Hmmm, I have to download a separate version of the game for the EU servers?

    Well, another day lost trying to figure out what is going on with my account.


    /sigh

    Another update will be incoming once I have the EU version downloaded and installed......

    It might work if you just cancel the download now, then copy/paste all the us folder stuff to the eu one, and launch it. Might need a repair, but should save the download time.

    Nope, i get the infamous error code 209 and tried to fix it via the posts and nothing will work, I have to DL it the old fashion way and hope my characters are on the EU server.

    Update 4 :

    OK so I downloaded the Eu server login info and was successful getting onto the EU servers.

    No luck, no characters on Eu server also.

    HELP!

    Well, you bought game in 2014 and played well after release in April?

    It has been since 03/14 since I have played. I did not get notice that my account would be erased, I was actually going to start my account back up on monthly until the PS4 version came out.

    So, you played beta only?
    Because release date is 4/4/2014.
    I don't know the fate of suspended beta characters, but they could be deleted, if you don't buy the game before/at release date.

    Sorry my bad,

    I was in both beta and live, my characters were definitely deleted in beta for live, but my live characters are the ones in question.

    Then, i think you'll have to wait until monday to get an answer to your question :)
    BTW, start playing new character now on chosen server, take a look at new Tutorial, look at skills, etc.
    You lose nothing, if characters will be restored, but, again, you'll have to wait until monday.

    You can run the EU game from the eso.exe in the EU folders and work around the 209 error. Maybe try that and see if you were on EU.

    If you would read my original post ZOS_MollyH, I was part of beta, but I also was part of launch, hence the Imperial Edition game that is in question.

    I have been in a lot of MMO's. I have also left and then come back to them months later and still had my characters in my account.

    This has been the only MMO so far that cannot seem to give me a straight answer as to why my characters are all gone, gold, items, etc.

    I did not create any characters on the EU servers, I did not delete any at all. I ran the game on the EU servers last night and nothing was on them at all.

    So what is the problem? There should be record of my characters attached to my account and either restored or something being done.

    Sorry, but I know I am asking a lot, but I did pay to play at that time and did play for a period of six months after launch.

    Why cannot anyone find my characters, items, gold, etc.

    No one hacked my account or I would have gotten an email asking for my info, codes, etc. So please investigate this a little further in stead of just giving me a cookie cutter customer service answer please.

    Update :

    A person on my friends list asked me to go to the bank and check to see if I had anything in it.

    I do, all of my maps, etc from the Imperial Edition. Now all I need is my characters restored............

    I even have recipes, the Ring of Mara, etc......

    I apologize for misunderstanding your question. Please be sure to let the agent know which characters you would like to have restored to ensure that you have the correct ones returned to you if they were accidentally deleted at some point.

    I do not remember what my character's names were. All I can remember is that he was a dragon knight. First name was Sten ( I don't remember the surname).

    BTW going back to my post regarding the items I have in my bank, I have no gold at all..weird.
