I agree with the OP. I would like this option to save myself time. I should have this option as it hurts no one else. It only helps you get to end game and save time. It is no different than the exp potion which I will be using. It only helps you get somewhere that everyone else can still attain. No harm done. Just because I would buy gear off the store doesnt mean you cant still play and get it so I really have no advantage over you. Just like the exp potion it only helps me get to where I want faster...you can catch up as you see fit.

XP potion is different. It helps you get to the end faster. Gear IS the end. And part of the value of gear is how rare it is and how hard it is to get.

This isn't a MOBA where everyone starts from the same point each matchup. It is an MMO where you develop a character and you use advantages competitively. People grind a lot for gear because they want a particular build for competitive gameplay. Sure, you can make a game without that mechanism, but that is not this game.

I don't think the game should try to appease those who want to have everything.

You are wrong. PvP is the end game to me and I dont want to grind gear. Just because you play different don't mean you should stop me from playing the way I want. The exp potion is in people own opinion...to me there is no difference regardless of what you think.

So you want to be special and get things for real money? That's your play style? Might be the wrong game for you, they've already stated they're not going to be implementing the sale of gear outside of cosmetics and convenience. Never end game items.

Hey person, play however you want. Just saying, they will Never sell functional armor in the crown store. It's all cosmetic. They may release costumes, but never armor. If pvp is your endgame, you want PVP gear anyway, not PVE gear.

I'm impatient and part of me thinks yeh i would like this. Then the logical part of me realises, nah that would be really bad for the game, i love this game and wouldn't want anything that would jeopordise it.

    Bad idea.

LOL..ya there is very little difference in pvp and pve gear. People use the pvp gear in pve. You go for the set bonuses. And for you to say NEVER see in in store. Ok..people said the same thing months ago about b2P and I am now laughing.

What are you talking about. There are PvE sets I would like for PvP but I dont want to grind months for the crap. What is hard to understand about that. I would rather buy it...

And I say its a matter of time before it will be in there regardless of what you say or ZoS. Same old song from them. And as you said...time changes everything..armor will be in the store eventually.

    Hi All,

One nice thing which would be good to have in crown store - sell all end game pvp/pve sets for crowns. It could be bind on pickup, I don't mind, but it will save me a lot of time of unpleasant activity. If I don't like PVP/PVE group stuff, I can buy exactly same set in store. It is not play to win (for those who will yell about that) because this set will be exact copy of what you can get in the game. It will just give me a convenience to play in a way I like with best sets available in game.
I would buy Desert Rose for example, right away. Perhaps some others too.

I am literally smashing my head on my desk, praying this is satire.

PvP is already ignored enough as it is, now you want to be able to get PvP sets without PvPing?

no. I would have sympathized with you if you were complaining about the gigantic grind for vigor,(even then i still would not have supported making it purchasable in the crown store) but for PvP armor/weapon sets; no.

do you have any idea how infuriating it would be, for a player newer to PvP than me, to have all of that crap just by buying it with real life cash, while I, someone who has PvPed since the dark ages of hopesfire, still does not even have vigor?:(

    it would be utterly unfair. If i get banned due to my tone, fine;

if you want PvP sets, then PvP and earn them.

This goes right along with the entitlement thread.

Hey person, play however you want. Just saying, they will Never sell functional armor in the crown store. It's all cosmetic. They may release costumes, but never armor. If pvp is your endgame, you want PVP gear anyway, not PVE gear.

They will sell old gear sets in the crown store, it was talked about in the guild conference. (gear sets that are 2 "seasons" old)

They have said a lot of things, but done little. I have my doubts this will see the light of day.

That was my point he said they will NEVER EVER do it... I bet in less then a year they will... its a great money maker.

It would be, no doubt. But the backlash for "pay2win" would be a pr nightmare. I would bet we won't see this.

As much as the B2P backlash or the CP number backlash, the lost bank items backlash, the PvP lag since beta backlash, the stop and start horse backlash? They dont care... they are like Mr Wonderfull they want MONEY

Now I have no problem with new solo content that is challenging(the game USED to be challenging in fact, now only vet dungeons and trials are challenging. PvP is too but im talking PvE here) and getting unique sets via solo ocntent;; but DO NOT MAKE IT PURCHASABLE IN THE CROWN STORE. If that happens, THE GAME WILL DIE.

Play the game and actually earn the gear:)

They game wont die... people will be mad for a week... complain on the forums and then go back to playing the game. Its not P2W when the sets are two seasons old, that is why they are talking about "season gear"

Best gear (current season) available via PVP and upper PVE
1 Season old gear available to buy via AP and middle PVE areas
2 seasons old gear available via crown store...

    Count on it...

Like I said, this is not DOTA where everyone starts each match on equal footing. The game is designed where you develop your character. It requires effort and time. If you just want to buy character development, play a mobile game. Gear is an end game differentiator and the game is designed to reward players who put in the effort in-game to gain gear. This is an RPG where characters grow in power through gameplay, not through spending real world money.

Yes, PvP is end game. But end game character development is gear and CP. Might be a bit of a carrot on a stick, but it is what it is.

There must be PvP only games out there that don't bother with the PvE content that could better cater to those with no interest in killing anything other than other players.

Wow, I've seen some bad ideas in threads recently but this takes the cake, biscuit, stand, shelf, counter and entire shop.

This is, quite possibly, one of the worst ideas I have seen in the long sad history of bad ideas. I would, quite literally, put this idea up there with hacking your own feet off with a chainsaw as a solution to not wanting to walk everywhere. No. Really.

No gear in the Store ever, thanks.

This might be nice for you but for the health of the game itself? This is a 100% pure solid gold nightmare.

    Just. Plain. No.
