Unfortunately you do need them:
Will I need to be an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus member in order to play the console versions?

Yes. As with any standard multiplayer game on these platforms, an internet connection and an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus membership will be required to play

That's sad ... I just googled and there where a lot of articles stating that PS+ is not needed, only Xbox Gold.
So ZeniMax was to lazy to make a deal with Sony and MS, because there are a lot of multiplayer-games on both platforms that don't require a subscription anymore, including MMOs
No big deal for me, since we always had and have PS+ subscriptions, but sad to see that ZeniMax is still to snooty to work with other companies ...
Am I the only one worried about the fact that the window to purchase this transfer ends a full month before the game releases on consoles?
Like in I have to commit my cash for a version I know nothing about?
With the polish of the PC client, I am really afraid about the issues that might pop up in the consoles version.

I agree, atm I play on pc, since I dont have a console, so I would have to get the transfer, and a console, but the lack of information about the console version, and the short window..
This may seem like a silly question, but are you signed into your ESO account when accessing the store? If not, please sign into your account and let us know if the transfer options still aren't appearing.izenkim_ESO wrote: »Am I missing something? Scroll down in the store page, there was a list of stuff to buy, at the bottom were the console versions for Playstation and Xbox.
Thanks! All I have are the PC/Mac Digital downloads, then the crown packs/ESO membership. I'll contact support now that I know for sure I'm missing the links.

To be honest, for $20, I'm not too worried. It doesn't break the bank, so if I end up not being impressed it's not a big deal. I can understand the reservation, though.

And $20 on something that I'm already playing on the PC and it's fine is better than $60 later...

They showed a few snips of it in ESO Live's. As well.. if it doesn't work out.. your PC account is still there. *shrugs* it's $25 (Canadian). Less than if you were to go buy it at the store.

I was signed in, yes! I also tried signing out and back in.

I border on being an Xbox fanatic, but I'm having a hard time coming up with many multiplayer games on the One that don't require a Gold account. Project Spark, hmm that's it. Considering that there are few MMO's, Neverwinter and Destiny if you categorize it that way, both of which require a Gold memberships.
got the mail, but with the total lack of information about the console version its really hard to know if I want to transfer, and since its a 30 day offer.. I sure hope we get some new info regarding the console versions, how things will work, improved ui, future addon support, will the integrate features from certain addons etc, since the stock ui sucks, and as far as I know we dont have any of that info yet, just "more info closer to launch".
I don't own a console, but I really like using a controller, so i'm hoping this means we'll have controller support incoming for pc
Hey there @pecheckler and everyone else,
Thanks so much for the feedback on this. We'll be happy to help clarify as much as we possibly can!
The article that you have linked contains most of the information that we have for controller support. We are currently internally testing the console UI and controller layouts on the PC, but we do not expect that official controller support will be added until after the console versions have released on June 9th.

yeah, but from I heard they are still deciding on tons of things, and since I still have to buy the console it would be nice with more info first
I think it is a cartel agreement between sony and MS. Will see. I think they might not see that many subscribers on PS4/Xbox with this *** attached, and will drop it in a future. In this case I'll reconsider it...
