Would anyone like to know why AD and DC constantly lose?

left lag blade for chillrend, after a nice few weeks in chillrend. then it turned into lagrend with the moving of one prominant guild from thornblade, proof that they cause lag and server death. of course they are in denial. i just cant see how you can play like that all day in lag, maybe because you cause the lag you dont lag?

If last night is any indication, the days of Azura's Star NA being a DC (or AD) buff server may soon be coming to an end. The campaign scoreboard won't change during the last few days remaining in this cycle. However, next week's new campaign should see a much closer race.

Thornblade turning into a red version of Auriel's Bow is.... disgusting... to me.

That was inevitable once a few guilds started to slink away from thorn because it was day in day out unplayable lag, many of us found that disgusting. Chillrend was a safe haven for a little over a month, had some of the most fun PvP I've had since the beginning of the game during that month. Sad its gone on Chillrend now too :(

It seems like those few guilds that started to "slink" away from thorn have brought the lag and the same tactics they complained about with them to chillrend.

Whatever you say pumpkin, Chillrend was lag free for over a month after making the switch. But whatever you say.

The ONLY reason you can say this is because DC and Ad wised up and left and spread out to other campaigns. We took the initiative. Not you in ep. You all would happily stay holed up on your own buff map farming at the gates. So please. Just please.

TKO and Rangers made a stand last night. Good god did we try. We got back all the home keeps and two outposts through colossal effort and strategy. Not a single one was an undefended uncontested take, but we outwitted the reds twice using Chalman of all keeps as a diversion. Even Havoc was getting wrecked everywhere we encountered them. (good fights btw, especially the one at Chalman)

Then the red zerg woke up. Oh my god the red tide wasnt even a joke. Fights went from 20-30 on 20-30 to constant 20 on 60 everywhere we went. Once we lost Alessia it became obvious it was just every single red on the campaign going to one place all at the same time, as per usual. The fight for Faregyl was easily 80+ reds on 20 yellows with much of Havoc just running the walls.

For all we could do, we just got hammered down and people started logging out of sheer frustration, no matter where we went an entire blob just appeared.

I wonder how much longer these EP scrubs are going to use year old justifications (being camped by DiE on Auriels back last may) for current trends. You are literally destroying PvP. You ask why people leave the campaign. You figure it out.

Chillrend doesnt have as robust of server performance as Thorn does. It always seems like once you break two bars it actually performs worse than Thorn. That being said, until the last month when everyone started pop locking it all of the time, it literally never ever lagged.

Most of the "old timers", the folks who legitimately could use the 'I was camped on AB by DiE' excuse, have been filtering out of Thornblade. What you're seeing is a rerun -- an excuse copied from an excuse. And that particular one really has no weight, all things considered.

Doesn't matter what the reason is, what's happening on Thornblade needs to stop. It's 1:33pm central US time and I can see through a Twitch.tv stream that the gates are being camped by EP scrubs.

Last night I was farming delves on Thorn, espousing my manifesto, while AD was wrecking people. When Sejanus flipped so fast after flagging, even the Thorn puggies had to sheepishly admit they got wrecked at that outpost.

I larfed, then went and watched my guild's DPS flail around in Darkshade Caverns for a while.

Red appears to have woken up after that.

I don't camp gates. Never have, never will. It's poor sportsmanship and I won't participate in it. I wasn't anywhere near the scroll-less AD or DC gates on Thorn all weekend. Yes, I will defend a keep if it was captured in order to grab a scroll; but it is not good for the game to take a gate keep if the scroll is already gone. And my guild is no longer homed on Thorn so your accusations need to be directed elsewhere.

I don't know of any EP guilds staying for the gate farming, pretty much everyone is heading out. No spends time building a good guild to farm gates. Of the guilds I've worked with the past few months to win Thornblade, ONE was actually on Thornblade yesterday. I'm diehard Thornblade and even I wasn't there (guesting chillrend to test the waters, thanks MBF and Shortbus for the warm welcome!).

There's nothing really to be done. It's like last campaign, when we are yelling at peole to stop pushing south and leave yellow some keeps, and the hoard still pushes Fare. Just can't stop it lol

Some will stay and hope, I know we will wait a lil bit and see, but it's looking bleak. If only action is gate farming, I fear that is where people will go :/

yup, its not pvp unless its 80 vs 20. between that and the lag i got tired of it on thorn. when it became impossible to find any small scale fighting without the whole server being lagged to red level pings no matter where you were on the map, i bolted...no one has time or wants to deal with that garbage.

I've logged on to Thorn twice in the last few days.

    1. A group of 40+ EP (including the current emp and a large number of his guildies) were sitting outside the Eastern Elsweyr gate, shooting siege into the AD spawn and farming anything that jumped down to fight them. This went on for several hours while I was afk/hanging out with friends in TS.
    2. AD had gotten a few keeps back, and Faregyl was flagged. I go there and find an entire poplocked EP zerg (including organized guilds) against a dozen or so AD defenders.

It really is the least competitive server at this point, not just because of lag, but because of EP's relentless desire to take the entire map with larger numbers.

I don't buy all the lagsploitation and packet bombing stuff. ZoS just has a catastrophically bad engine. (The game was literally coded on Microsoft PowerPoint.) But we'd all be singing a different tune on blue if at primetime, we were able to actually use our abilities to defend our keeps. It's hard to enjoy a game where the new metagame is how good your groups are at gaining incidental victories due to lag. I just want to kill things ffs.

A couple of whom are still doing their very best to make sure no spark of competition remains there.
I hear stories of hours spent camping scroll temples and gates on an all red map.
Pvp at its finest, no doubt.

Yeah, I popped out on Thorn just to see what was up yesterday and saw some DC pugs trying to take back a couple home keeps. It looked to be about 15, most of whom where non-vet. And out of nowhere a well known EP guild shows up and wipes them in about 10 seconds. I guess I didn't realize that non-vet pug opponents were such a threat that a guild needed to come out and wipe them.

I'm seeing the same case happening on Azura's. When I asked for a few more seasoned EP guilds to help out, given the majority of EP on AS is sub-vet spillover from BWB. I didn't mean "come one come all arrogant *** guilds who let all of EP's keeps get taken while they hole up in Brindle and farm AP'. You get ap, xp, and gold bonus gains from holding your home keeps as well as enemy keeps and the inner ring. So to me it seems counter-productive to allow the enemy to just breeze on through your stuff because you want to set up a nice tower farm clear on the opposite side of the map. Yesterday EP were within seconds of crowning emp, and we lost ALL of our ring keeps in under an hour because almost 2/3 of the existing EP population refused to defend ANYTHING. We even lost Arrius and came close to losing Kings and our one scroll, and the only reason we persisted was because those do-nothings deigned to get off their asses and help defend the keep. You're not going to tell me that there's any valid reason why pop-locked EP should lose so much in such a short period of time to pop-locked DC, unless everyone and their mom are off doing delves or skyshard runs.

Another thing that really grates me is the utter lack of communication in zone chat. Yes I know people are worried about spies and the like, but information is not exclusive. There's no reason why players can't call out "oh hey I was picking herbs and I ran into a 20+ EP raid heading to our scroll keep" or "Hey I just arrived in BRK and there's 20 DC siege doing a 50/50". We lost Ash, Ales, Bleakers, Chalman. BRK, Sej, and Alessia almost back to back because absolutely no one saw fit to relay information, or even respond when it was called.

Which EP guilds came to AS? I know my guild (Pride of the Pact) homed there at 6pm CST yesterday and we (16-20 players) were the ones doing the emp push (fellow guildy was #1) only to watch it fail when Aleswell wasn't/couldn't be defended. As frustrating as it is to see happen.......I just don't see where your post is going to get anyone to want to communicate with you going forward! Those arrogant *** guilds have been there to assist emp pushes when called upon and correct me if I'm wrong but y'all probably have never crowned an emp without said guilds coming over to assist.....rub those ears and repeat after me....WUUUUUUSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Also....who are you so I can put a name to the toon.

The hate gets so strong you can't even acknowledge good players anymore. This is why we can't have nice things.

But hey, it's EPs responsibility to say good fight, or something :/

Good sportsmanship starts with the individual. It's not always returned or appreciated, but it is its own reward.

If last night is any indication, the days of Azura's Star NA being a DC (or AD) buff server may soon be coming to an end. The campaign scoreboard won't change during the last few days remaining in this cycle. However, next week's new campaign should see a much closer race.

The ONLY reason you can say this is because DC and Ad wised up and left and spread out to other campaigns. We took the initiative. Not you in ep. You all would happily stay holed up on your own buff map farming at the gates. So please. Just please.

So the PvE'ers of your factions (AD and DC) can thank you and the other Non-EP Thornblade guilds for having EP Thornblade guilds branch out and ruin their buff servers or actually having *gasp* PVP on said servers instead of another PvE/RP area? Way to build that faction camaraderie! I like your style of initiative!

Who said I was responsible for building faction camaraderie?

Look, I said this before and will say it again. I am pretty sure ZOS never intended for their to be empty, erp or derp buff campaigns. I am equally certain they didn't intend for one faction to ALL descend on one campaign and make sure to op and out populate the other factions and then to add insult to injury stack and spam aoe in order to lag the other factions out so they could stomp all over the map in hoards of red. The funny thing is you all come here then and brag and wave your e-peens around and beat your chests and try to pull off this grand delusion that you are all just the bomb ditty. When we all know a. You're just over popped and b. Enjoy the collateral benefits of the cheaters in your faction.

    Have a nice night. :)
