20% AP Buff for Killing Boss In Cyrodiil Delves

    I really dislike this. If anything, it should be a buff to XP, not AP. Players already prioritize getting AP, you see it every time a keep is defended, people yell "rush the next keep", hoping new players will leave so they get a bigger AP tick. People don't care if the rush to the next keep fails miserably, as long as they get their precious AP tick. It'll be the same with this buff, hour long defense at a keep, time to leave it and refresh their buff, then rush back and get that tick.

    Game mechanics should reward us for doing the right thing, not reward those who can exploit the system the most. The fact that a group can defend a keep for an hour and then some guy who shows up at the last second and does nothing is rewarded the exact same, is simply a bad design. Throwing a 20% boost to that for LEAVING THE BATTLE to kill a pve boss on an infinite respawn, is just icing on their badly designed cake.

    I often wonder why pvp'ers are such AP grubbers? Do you really need to get that green money in order to have fun? Do they really need to put up PVE hoops for us in PVP? Why is it a good thing that players are now forced into killing 1 boss an hour? I've never had any problems seeing enemy players in cyrodiil delves, in fact at times it can be annoying because they're so active it's hard to get the right boss to spawn.

    I often wonder if ANYONE at zos even PVPs in this game. There are so many broken or missing things in PVP, yet they constantly tweak stuff that doesn't need tweaking. I honestly don't want to compete to see who can consistently kill a boss every hour, because that is what the PVP leaderboards will be now. Why not fix some easy things Brian Wheeler? Stuff like guild store access at the bank, writ boards at the gates, the outpost doors than be teleported through, the mounts constantly stopping, the freaking vr12 bosses dropping level 50 gear, the gates that you can get ontop of, the fishing holes that are inaccessible, the places where you can siege from so far away that the people at the keep can't even see the projectile hitting the wall. And those are just a few things off the top of my head.

    I'd love to see a buff to trials groups, where if they come to Cyrodiil and capture a keep, they get buffed for an hour while doing trials. Because ZOS logic.

    hmmm, as much as i agree to all the things in this recent patchnotes - this one make for me absolute no sense.
    Why do we need an 1h increase in AP gain ??
    I can only explain it to myself that this will bring a good portion of players out of Cyrodiil and into the delves to further erase the lag....
    but in the end this idea is nothing i like much, better give some quests to go into this or that delve to kill a Boss and good with it. Makes more sense to me (and maybe a lil reward afterwards for doin this, but no AP or whatever boost)

    Doing delves tonight with the guild wasn't exactly fun, 20 people trying to all score hits on the boss to get credit. Slaughtering the poor solo players who happened to enter the same delve. Sitting there in front of the boss waiting for people to get out of load screens.

    I am so grateful that I completed the Cyrodil dungeon achievement before this change! Checked a few delves today and yeah, full of gank squads. No fun there.

    I don't like killing people in delves or quest cities but now almost every single opponent trying to backstab you while you earning money :/ .

    The biggest thing for me, is no one and I mean NO ONE. On the PvP forums gave delves up as a suggestion for PvP. It is seriously ZoS doing whatever they want.

    Like I said on another thread This is a PvE game ZoS makes us PvE to be competitive from our gear to our F$&&((&@&$& AP it's frustrating

    This is definitely an interesting idea to spread the Cyrodiil population around a bit. Things that would make this even better (some of these have been suggested already):
    • Put a "graveyard" wayshrine inside the delves, like in the PvE delves, for respawning at if you die to a mob inside the delve.
    • Associate the bosses with a capture point inside the delves. The alliance who kills the boss takes the capture point, and players from that alliance can transit to that delve and respawn there if they die to a player. This could even be offered from the Battle Missions board: Capture Echo Cave: Kill Sargos Grent and claim Echo Cave for your alliance! The capture point remains under the control of that alliance for 20 minutes, or until another alliance kills the boss.
    • Ensure that delves are properly accounted for in the Cyrodiil population, so that you can get out of them (haven't tested to see if this is still a problem or not).

    The same as the rest of Cyrodiil. If you die to a player, you can choose a keep to respawn at. If you die to a mob, you can rez yourself (I think) or go to the border gate wayshrine, They really need to put respawn points at the delve entrances (for deaths to mobs) though, like in the PvE delves.

    Sounds like a great change, but I think there's a flaw in it.

    Last time I checked entering a delve is effectively removing you from Cyrodiil. When you try to leave the dungeon, if the Cyro population is locked, you get a message saying:
    "The location you are travelling to has population controls in place"....or something to that effect.

    Your only option in that case is to teleport to a buddy somewhere outside of Cyro and queue all over again.

    Imagine going into a PvP Delve, killing the boss, getting the 1-hour buff, then getting kicked out and placed in a queue for 40 mins :)

    I play on Thornblade which is always pop locked and i do the dungeons every night, for champ exp and random enemy skirmishes and i have never been barred from porting back out.

    I normally go werewolf inside delves and when I run across other players not in my faction they slowly back off so has been interesting.

    i had fun in the questing towns and delves, had some nice fights with a templar that was only v6 bringing on the heat, mad props to that guy. then i went into a cave because of a quest and pvp was happening, 1v1;s 2v1's. great time. i think they need ot add in more quests to these town hubs to keep people there longer though, i literally finish all the quests in like 10 minutes it feels like and run into like 1 or 2 people, many times none at all.

    Brian at some point you and the PvP team are going to have to draw a line. If I didn't know better I'd think you were willing to do away with keeps entirely for the sake of server performance.

    Bump for an answer and a clarification:

    Can a particular boss/bosses be "farmed"? ie. can a given boss be repeatedly killed to sustain the bonus, or once a delve is completed, does the boss kill no longer count?

    The buff refreshes every time you kill a delve boss.
