Infinite loading screens were a problem for many for MONTHS last year, like they are now. 'Flaky' means unreliable and infinite loading screens in my book is 'unreliable'.wrlifeboil wrote: »fromtesonlineb16_ESO wrote: »In the six months since the huge drop in player numbers was apparent we forgot just how flaky the mega-server tech. was, now numbers are clearly back to where they were for the first 6 months we have been painfully reminded of it.NewBlacksmurf wrote: »The mega server idea just doesn't seem so great anymore
Worse, we now have client lockups at times for 10s of seconds, everything freezes except sound/music, regular 999+ lags (I don't actually recall seeing those with such frequency before March.
The megaserver wasn't that flaky during the first 5-6 months except maybe the first two weeks where I had lots of d/c and had to contend with buggy quests and phasing.

Since late February I have often had to ALT-TAB out to kill an infinite loading screen which I hadn't seen so frequently since last autumn. My loading screens aren't too long aside from the initial log in. I've had loads of combat related bugs (such as Aedric Spear freezing my character) but nothing that would be related to population. It's more or less the same for me as it's always been.
I crash several times a day, screen freezes, endless loading screens, booted to desktop with an error message of <1>, unable to interact with crafting tables or people as the "e" just goes grey and nothing happens.
The quality of the server and overall game play is now much worse... but hey at least we have some new pretty stuff to look at that you can buy at the store.
Very frustrated.

And I'm running with full graphics too. I'm thinking the problems some are having have nothing to do with free to play, and more to do with drivers needing updates... As always ymmv.

Could have just shortened it to "I really don't understand"
100mb/sec internet connection.. downloading the whole 75mb client only takes me 15 ~ 25mins though it takes another 25 mins to patch everything up (hard drive isnt really fast my C drive is SSD but my games drive is a 7200RPM)
i really dont know why everyone complains about the game being laggy because theres no lag at all
