    In pve:
Screen freezes to me: is always a connection with sprinted hourse. If I dont use sprint with hourse, its ok.
Endless loading screens: This is the big problem. But it is since 1.6.
When we r in party, it make things worse, yesterday we did craglorn, and we were many quest sync problem, and travel to player, and left dungeons, many times resulted infinite loading screens. It might have a connection to the party, if I play alone, fewer endless loading screens.

I dont understand something. If I play in a zone, I go to the shrine, I use it to travel another shrine, but in the same zone, If I have luck, almost no loading screen. I love that when it happens. But, If I use travel to player, who is in the same zone, much longer loading screen. If this player is in the same group, and he is on the same shard, why need much more loading screen???

The reason why it affects some people and not others is likely due to the megaserver and phasing tech. Constant load swapping between multiple servers, some straining under higher load, others running fine under less, etc.

The title should be 'Game performance is doing worst since 1.6'. The current title sounds like someone is mad that the game removed sub only.

Some of this started for me after update 6 and before the conversion. It's actually improved for me since then. Of course some people will blame any bad things that happen on the conversion.

Re-zoning works for that. It's not really what I would call a bug though.

Having to rezone or relog to get my mail definitely seems like a bug to me. It's very irritating too when a basic game system doesn't work properly. Not only do I waste too much time with the guild trader system as opposed to an actual auction house, but now I have to relog or zone to get the items that I buy. At least I'm not paying for a subscription anymore.

The only thing that bothers me now are the long queue's for PvP. Yesterday i crashed and most of the time you can hop back in. But now.. queue 112.

I think subs should get first priority. I play for PvP.

But i have a monkey up my sleeve. I ordered my wife to log in around 15:00, 2 hours before i come home. Also she and my son press the spacebar and walk around every now and then. So if you see me ingame in the start area blowing the horn and jumping on obstacles and not responding to whispers, it's my son.

The mega server idea just doesn't seem so great anymore
In the six months since the huge drop in player numbers was apparent we forgot just how flaky the mega-server tech. was, now numbers are clearly back to where they were for the first 6 months we have been painfully reminded of it.

Worse, we now have client lockups at times for 10s of seconds, everything freezes except sound/music, regular 999+ lags (I don't actually recall seeing those with such frequency before March.

Well "e" problem have been since the beta and you can fix really easy by dismount if you are mount or just movie around little and should work. And everything else you tlak about have been around since beta so basically it is no new problem at all so i dont see what problem is i know that people have say to ZoS many time over about this problem.

Beside if you have play SWTOR which have business model as we have now you should know that Bioware still have problem with bugs and other problem that have been around since day 1 and still have not be total fix hopefull ZoS will fix this problem we have so we dont become like SWTOR when come to bug and other issus the have.

Since TU release I've been getting random crashes. the game freezes and windows tells me the game became unresponsive. At moments I notice the lag, slow responses from boxes or trying to talk to an npc and it takes a couple of sec before something happends. I have a pretty good setup, drivers are up to date, my system is not causing this. And it's point of origing is all to clear.

All ZOS staff busy in creating pet for crown store. More crappy things in crown store more money to ZOS.

OT: My subs expired a couple of day ago and nothing changed in 2 days. I am facing same lag, same load time and crashing like before (period of Sub). No plan to buy ESO Plus in near future, cause no content and that 10% XP boost is useless in real life.

The megaserver wasn't that flaky during the first 5-6 months except maybe the first two weeks where I had lots of d/c and had to contend with buggy quests and phasing. They've seemed to fixed the phasing problems with the quests but the lag in Cyrodiil is about the same now compared to back then. I even have a better computer now!

I'm wondering if the dropoff rate in Cyrodiil will be higher, lower or the same now after people finish up with their questing and try to pvp.

I don't know how instancing works in the game but Saturday I was trying to do undaunted quest, the dungeon, you know with the boss pounding the ground.

Well funnilly, we were experiencing that we were receiving the damage from pounding but boss the animation displayed 10s later. So we were not getting any clue that we have to group up and heal.

I can understand the lags in open quest areas because of the overpopulation but why instanced dungeons?

Dear @ZOS_JessicaFolsom , @ZOS_PaulSage and @ZOS_GinaBruno , these weekend performance issues are game breaking for ALL players.

That simply isn't true. Clearly there are major performance issues including infinite loading screens and lag, and clearly they are now affecting PvE as well as PvP. However, they do not affect all players.

In my own case, for example, I get a short delay displaying attachments to emails or NPCs in cities, but only occasionally and then not in anything approaching a game-breaking way. I've never had an infinite loading screen, and the game has only crashed to desktop once since launch (and that was months ago).

Although very real, these problems aren't universal, and that is doubtless half the problem in fixing them as something that affected all players all of the time would be a lot easier to track down and fix than something that only affects some of the players some of the time.

A lot of the time these problems are raised they're in the context of the player being grouped, and I wonder if there's a problem with e.g. too much group data being transmitted within the group too constantly with the result that it's slowing things down? As a solo player I can be in a busy location with lots of other players, e.g. a bank, but performance isn't affected at all beyond the slight delay occasionally in displaying everyone, perhaps it's when players are grouped together in such locations that the problems arise.

a bad idea indeed.. it would be very costly for them to maintain it over the years, but at least the players would never have to deal with merges and possibilities of losing their IGN like in most subscription to -> F2P/B2P games

You make it sound like having the same bugs since beta is sort of "normal, nothing new under the sun => deal with them".

What about NO? It's passed a year, we paid this beta for 1 year and yet the game has still the same old issues. Did they fire the developers and just kept crown store graphic artists?

I have SWTOR too. Despite my never-ending hate for EA, I have to say that they DID fix a ton of stuff. Now the game plays vastly smoother than ESO and with maybe 1/10 of the crashes.

The only positive side of ZOS's mega server, is the fact that we don't need to choose a server on login. Other than that, it's nothing more than marketing or PR move.

The biggest problem with the mega server is that you're stuck with one rule-set. Having multiple servers would allow separate PvP and PvE servers which would resolve a lot of the back-biting between the two halves of the community over stuff like open world PvP. It would also allow for a much better trading system.

Then they would run into the problem of some servers being totally barren. There's nothing sadder than an empty mmo server. Even WoW wasn't immune to that problem and had to eventually consolidate realms.

I was gung *** for a global auction house before launch but not so much now. The guild stores are working out better than I expected before launch. The devs are doing a good job of managing the game economy.

    Just to be clear:

    1. Not every single player will experience these types of problems, or experience them all of the time, or have the same severity each time they occur. Not everyone loses power or has the lights flicker in a rolling blackout but it is still a sign of a problem that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.

    2. While it is worse on weekends overall these issues happen at all times, even early morning/off hours on weekdays. Same goes for Cyrodiil versus other zones. Even empty/low pop zones can give freezes & delays. The common denominator is Update 6 and the corresponding increase in active players.

    3. These kinds of issues will affect the whole community if they persist/worsen and bad word of mouth and an awful console release hurts sales of the game and purchases in the cash shop.

It could be helpful to know who is/isn't affected and when/how so I don't automatically assume that everyone who is saying that they aren't affected are implying that it isn't a serious issue.

My own experience with these issues is summarized in another comment.

Played yesterday for most of the day ... first time since January. Didn't notice the game performance being any better or worse to how I remember it. One crash, I think, rest of the time fine. Didn't try PvP. I play on a pretty old laptop so I don't expect marvels but yeah ... no worse than I recall from a few months ago.
