well like tonight at Arrius LM..Enemy wanted to set up siege and pick us off..so..I said OK..whats good for the goose..got in the tower and picked off some myself with siege. When in Rome and all that bs.

It's a good change, even ZOS said it themselves. Base siege damage will remain as it is, the only thing will change is some buffs increasing siege damage, but the base damage will remain.

Either adapt of leave, if you're that bad that you or your group can't even counter siege, just quit PvP.

Well good news ZoS says the changes are not intended.

Can't wait to see all the bad players cry when they can't one shot everyone with siege and need to learn how to organize or fight.
If true, that is a real shame. Hopefully it isn't just a case of whining -> nerf. I have been running with my noob character alot since the siege change - level 38 stamina Templar, and I haven't even unlocked Purify or Purge yet and you know, I don't die evey time someone puts up a fire ballista or meatbag. Nor do I spend my time standing behind one booming the enemy from a safe distance.

I never thought I'd say this myself but learning to play does seem to be a big issue as soon as something becomes a challenge.

if siege goes back to the way it was 1.5, PvP will be in for a huge hurt.

hopefully its just a small change.

The interview in question mentioned that siege is just picking up damage bonuses where it shouldn't be, like from DK Standard, and that's what they want to fix. Shouldn't be much of a change really.

@ZOS_BrianWheeler has a "unique" vision on PVP in ESO. Yet, very few share this vision. Changes like this make the game less fun to play, it's as simple as that. I remember @ZOS_PaulSage stating multiple times that, first and foremost, they wanted to make a fun game. I'm confused on why Paul Sage sits back and let's changes like this further ruin ESO's already flawed PVP system.

I just sat on a wall for a few minutes. chin in the palm of my left hand, half asleep, clicking right mouse button. Killed lots of people between two waves of attackers. Didn't notice any other siege but my own. A couple of allies jumped off the wall to mop up the ones that I weakened but didn't quite send to their graves. A couple survived to run for the hills. Both waves had at least one siege shield and purge. I was using nothing to buff siege damage.

I know some of those people. I know they know how to play. I know they know what red circles are.

People find this fun and challenging?

Reads like a self fulfilling prophecy.... Clearly, if they know how to play, they are passively protesting the siege buff by forgetting all they've learned and suiciding en mass.

Ever run a PvE dungeon or trial? Red circles everywhere that can one shot you if your healer isn't good enough or you run out of stamina for roll dodging??

Don't PvPers assert they are better player s than PvEers?

Time to step up or you're proving nothing of the sort.

Can't wait to see all the organized players adapt like they were supposed to to be able to counter the siege damage correctly instead of whining about it all day.

We crush people with siege. Trust me, this petty change wont stop us from rolling bads.

Good players are complaining because now it doesn't take skill or even organization to get kills. Not because we are incapable of adapting.

What if I told you 16 people trying to create synergy with their builds all together should be?

People change their setup's hourly with us, depending who we gained or lost. Sad to see people still thing the actual good players just use 1 skill.

Not mad, just laughing at all the people crying on the forums instead of adjusting to the changes. If you thought that video of you bunny hopping in front of siege actually represented good game play (meaning game mechanics not player actions) then I don't know what to say.

For the record I dont need siege to kill opponents and I don't complain if I happen to die to somebody that uses one.

I see more people standing around then using siege in any of my videos. Trust me if someone was siegeing us we either pushed to them or moved and los.. We were not just standing in siege laughing it off. Now that siege is op everyone is quick to bring em out. Before that was not the case even though it did alter battles significantly.

As you can see in a new video we have changed our ways. Doesn't mean i like that play style better. I find it way more boring to be sitting behind siege more than half the time.

Do you have one constructive or positive post anywhere on the forums or just run from thread to thread bashing ppl? I mean i love to troll here and there... just ask the sorcs.... but your not even trolling just spewing garbage thats not funny nor entertaining nor helpful nor informative... what are you trying to achieve? This almost looks like some sort of compensation for being picked on and ridiculed in real life.

Why waste so much time getting to max level, all legendary gear, CPs, undaunted passives etc to be effective in pvp when you can just go in and one shot someone with a treb at level 10?

One zerg isnt enough how about fighting both blue and red zergs! Notice our 24 man group. Oh and count the amount of siege on us vs people standing around shooting arrows. Try having fun like this again.

The last few posts above are so true and telling of the change.

the bottom line is the change to siege not only promotes but over promotes un-fun gameplay.

Getting tons of kills doesn't even come close to make up for the snoozefest of clickin one button on a 5-10 second cooldown.

A game is on it's way out when the dev's start sacrificing fun engaging gameplay to solve other pvp issues because they are too lazy and can't be bothered anymore.

You are correct and It goes beyond the siege. The siege change is not the worst thing thats changed.

Because if you don't, then siege is the only thing you can effectively do.

Level up, get good gear, CP, passives, etc. and you can be the one knocking out your opponent's siege or ambushing them on the road or chasing them away or participating in the vanguard of an assault or defense of a keep. Not to mention that if you still just want to use siege, then you'd actually have a shot at fending off enemy troops flanking your position.
