Wish we had PvP rather than SvP or SvS

The changes to siege are ruining the game. Taking a keep is pretty much impossible unless you have a huge zerg or the keep is empty. And even open field battles have changed because it have become siege versus siege out there.

    Sorry, I have to disagree. I think its the best thing to happen to PvP since forward camps were removed!

    I like the siege duels a LOT better than zerg duels. A lot of people haven't figured out that they need to stay out of siege at almost any cost. In siege duels, get off your siege and dodge out of incoming fire. In open field, flank the enemy's siege or charge the enemies siege line fast.

    In castles fights, counter siege became extremely important. If the castle is defended the whole attacking group can't just ignore the defenders and burn down the wall. It has to deal with the castle defenders, as it should. If a group isn't smart, it can get wiped by a small, but smart group.

    The more powerful siege has added a new level of strategy to the game, and people's tactics will quickly evolve. I don't think I've ever enjoyed PvP as much as I have been the last few days! Good job ZOS!

    If you think it's impossible to take a keep... then I guess you should use more strategy than run in and attack whatever you can.

    I've seen all kinds of different and fun strategies, on both attacking and defending forces.

    IDK, in spite of my previous opinions I am kind of enjoying the epic siege vs siege battles.
    After the attackers siege is blown to bits you can go out and clean up all the stragglers pvp.

    I prefer anything to what we had. At least what we had in November when my sub ended, but from what I have heard it didn't change much till the siege buff.

    well like tonight at Arrius LM..Enemy wanted to set up siege and pick us off..so..I said OK..whats good for the goose..got in the tower and picked off some myself with siege. When in Rome and all that bs.

    On the topic of taking a keep being much more difficult, good. The defender should have a huge advantage when defending a fortified position like a keep. It makes no sense at all for the walls to not actually do anything to keep the enemy out.

    The changes are good for *** players who couldn't compete previously, and now they're "good" because they sit back on their siege. The same could be said for everyone who spammed bats with 100% uptime, and PBAOE oil.

    It's funny how a lot of the people complaining about the changes to siege damage are the same people who were telling people to L2P back when folks complained about vampires tanking entire raids or people using multiple ground oils in a enclosed area.

    Yesterday I saw fire ballistas used in the same manner as ground oil back in the days of oil pots everywhere. The damage is really high compared to anything else. I can agree that if this was intended to be the zerg busting mechanics it is working but did ZOS realize that the fire ballistas, for exmple, will be of such importance in every fight.

    The whole "stay out of the AOE" card does not fit well with the PvP community's history, considering DK standard has been nerfed 5 times along with other ultimates and AOE's (i.e. ground oil), which is exactly the same thing as the current siege damage.

    People are just so daft.

    No, its about bad players adapting to the fact that siege weapons are now actually dangerous and serve a purpose other than 20 Ballista vs Wall. Healers at a siege now earn their ap and taking a keep has to be organised with good support. Got to hand it to the NBs who now stealth in and out of enemy lines and take down the operators to turn the tide of an open anti-personel siege, or Dunmer DKs with fire resistance buffed, storming the front lines.

    Zergs can no longer lag a keep defence to win and pretty much all siege weapons now have a specific usefulness.

    Purge
    Roll Dodge
    Hire a pocket Templar

    If true, that is a real shame. Hopefully it isn't just a case of whining -> nerf. I have been running with my noob character alot since the siege change - level 38 stamina Templar, and I haven't even unlocked Purify or Purge yet and you know, I don't die evey time someone puts up a fire ballista or meatbag. Nor do I spend my time standing behind one booming the enemy from a safe distance.

    I never thought I'd say this myself but learning to play does seem to be a big issue as soon as something becomes a challenge.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking

    The siege is okay I suppose, but it's going to get old real fast. This change just furthers the need for some sort of arena/ dueling aspect of PVP Zos ... Quit being silly and give us a way to have fair fights if we do so desire them.
