The same as the Steam store price you were seeing. You're lucky they've given an AUD price that doesn't take into account the exchange. Until recently we Canadians were lucky about the same thing

How is any of this surprising when Australians routinely pay outrageous prices for games and other entertainment? Don't worry about ZOS on this one and start firing the idiots in your "Parliament".

Steam just switched from US dollars to NZ dollars on the 24th March 2015 for us in New Zealand and I was worried the price would be like the Australians.

But instead, its CHEAPER

So instead of paying $15 US, I now pay $15 NZ

I also agree completely with this thread. I'm also in Australia and just saw the price on Steam was USD and am rather annoyed cause I also saw the AUD on the ESO Store.

If I have to go through Steam then the ESO Store price should reflect the price Steam has or it's just not fair for anyone not from the USA who purchased the game through Steam.

You're right. Hop to it ZOS, raise those prices in AUD on the website to match the Steam prices. You heard it from them, make it fair.
