I'm not really misunderstanding anything here. It was marketed as a pre-order exclusive. We were told it would remain exclusive. It didn't.

People seem to think that we have a problem w/ the pre-order exclusive bonus being available to other people. I don't have any issue w/ other people making whatever races they want on whatever faction they want. Should never have been gated behind an exclusive bonus in the first place, tbh.

Just to avoid further misunderstandings, I don't have a problem w/ others having the bonus. I have a problem w/ being straight up lied to.

Dude, it's not the explorer's pack it's the adventure pack, with a different pet.

Wait till you see the new monkey in the crown store. It's not the same as the exclusive one, it's got a different name and color.

I wish I could do that with money I pay ZOS. "It's like a 20 dollar bill, it's blue and says 21 on it. We're all good though right?"

Ah, the smell of f2p leaves a somewhat rotten but also pleasntly refreshing bouquet wich tells nothing is sacred or impossible to change. So the real question is, when can we see the very sought for flying dragon mounts in the store? I, and I bet many many MANY with me really want one and we would most certain pay well for such a vanity thing!

Why is this pack offered to begin with? It's quite obvious that players would want to play together irrespective of face, and now that's being monetized? Shameful. I'm happy that you're again offering grouping conveniences, sadly it's behind a pricetag.

Hey @ZOS_JessicaFolsom So is there any consolation for players that actually pre ordered the game? I mean you basically took away the only decent benefit it had.

After seeing this, I'm left wondering why I even preordered the game. Myself and many others could have easily waited until you fixed your game yet we were drawn in with the any race any alliance marketing plan. Fooling your customers is not a good way to retain them. I know for a fact that I'm not jumping at the mark to give you and revenue solely because of how you treat your customers. I mean you still to this day have misleading marketing on your Alliance War section and when I say "misleading" I mean flat out lies.

Changing up the business model and name of the game does not mean that nullifying the customer's contributions is ok. We have basically beta tested this game during it's launch and throughout the year then you offer our pre order or early supporter rewards to everyone? That's bogus.

Should also be noted that you haven't been able to keep the cash grab in check at all. You have absolutely no integrity especially after offering the "Loyalty" mount to anyone that shows enough dollar bills regardless of whether they were actually loyal or not.

This quote from January about whether the Explorer's Pack bonuses would be on the Crown store probably has something to do w/ players "assuming" that it wouldn't be on the Crown store. That, and the fact that they never once mentioned that they were changing their mind about this.

The only assumption that was made was that ZOS might actually do what they said, and yes, I was quite foolish for thinking there was any chance of that w/ their track record.

Strictly speaking, you weren't lied to. They're not selling the explorer's pack it is now called the adventurers pack and includes a bantam guar instead of a skuttler. The maps and play any race bit seems the same, but they have technically adhered to their word even if it reads as kind of shifty.

Why not just finish everyone of ZOS statements with, We will change what you tell you, everytime, so dont bother listening or holding us accountable because we dont care, and will change it anyway.
For the record it doesn't bother me, but its hilarious nearly every single thing said by ZOS they would or wouldn't do has changed.

We're still working out the exact Crown Store update cadence, but we will add new items at least once a month. We'll also do our best to react on a case-by-case basis when we see a lot of requests for specific items and services. We do plan to have a showcase article that coincides with new releases.

Considering we didn't pay anything for it then a 'refund' seems entirely uncalled for. We got it as an inducement to pre-order, it was FREE, who damned-well cares if it's available again to others.

LMAO, guys the crown store is here to make money. It is its only purpose. LOTS of ppl complained that they could not afford 50 cents per day ($15/mo) while sipping on their $7 dollar Starbucks drinks while standing in line to see a $12 dollar movie that will be out on video in two months for $19.95 and On Demand for $5 all while talking on their $500 dollar phone with their $100 data plans but whoa don’t pay a sub fee. Now it’s free for you to play and is open to all the trolls and kids and people who will make my que longer to get into Thorn. So thanks you got what you wanted...what you asked for. Other ppl wanted the explorers pack and it is a supply and demand economy you got it. Jessica and Gina and Paul work for ZOS not the other way around they get told what to do... and say. I am sure they did not lie to you, they got told one thing and later got told another and their job is to ensure you swallow your bitter pills. My company tells me to tell my employees things I don’t agree with ALL the time. Get over it. If you are not a subscriber you no longer get a say. If you are a subscriber then you get to bemoan to your hearts content but no one reading this forum that works for ESO gets to have final approval for anything. They get to make suggestion just like you do. Granted it may get more consideration but it is still just a suggestion. I don’t know why you pre-ordered and you shouldn’t have. I just literally ordered the Explorer’s pack a week ago on G2A. So I jumped the gun and because I was impatient not because anyone lied to me. Yes, I believed them when they said it would not be in the Crown store. I should have known that Gina and Jess would not have a say in what was in the crown store. When I was a manager my boss over ruled me and now that I am a Director I over rule my manager from time to time. It happens and I don’t always like it but it is a reality of business. The community managers have a hard enough time dealing with us. The Crown store is here and is not going away and it is there to make money. They are going to sell what… what sells! Supply and demand. For every one of you that will say I am mad there are 20 or more that say “how many crowns is that… oh goody”.

Please give us more female costumes. For me, I would particularly like dresses.

I became every disappointed upon seeing the "adventure pack" in the crown store. In my opinion if a company uses preorder exclusives to generate buzz, then they should be prepared to upset post-launch purchasers. That being said, my piece of feedback would be to make the "adventure pack" a limited time offer, only available for a month or so after ESO:TU relaunch. This would an least give some illusion of fairness, and hopefully satisfy everyone actually cares about this perk.

I don't really think it was fair to deny other players this perk just because they didn't get an early copy (you really didn't have to pre-order it to get the explorer's pack, it was more of a while supplies last thing) so I think it's excellent that they're allowing the option to purchase it.

I am very, very happy that Explorer's Pack is being sold on the Crown Store. It was severely idiotic in the first place to give such a major freedom solely to the people who pre-ordered the game. It's probably the only thing I am going to pay for now that the game no longer requires a subscription.

I know it's been said already but all those who pre-ordered did get the Adventure Pack for free, as opposed to those who didn't and now have to pay roughly $20 worth of crowns for it.

Are you that selfish that you think other players shouldn't be allowed to play as other races?

No they didn't, you got what they said you would and for a whole year it was exclusive. You already leveled your characters as any race you wanted and got lots of attention from people wondering why an Argonian was wandering around DC. Anyone who gets the adventure pack now, has to pay for it and then level a new character.

I personally do not care whether or not people get the explorers pack who didn't pre order. I pre ordered and went with imperial edition because I loved the game in beta and wanted the options for myself. I understand why people are frustrated but I don't know; times change, the game changes. It all was exclusive for a year. Not like they changed it up the day after release.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

I play another MMO (DCUO) from time to time with some old friends of mine. It even went f2p from it's original sub model. If you pre ordered that game you were entitled exclusives that have remained exclusive even after the subscription->f2p transition and 4 years after launch. Heck, their studio was even bought out and it's still exclusive to pre orders to this day. There are also other items in that game that have stayed exclusive such as little pet/sidekick things and really awesome styles that they could charge over $50 a pop for but they practice restraint. ZOS will do anything...ANYTHING.
