I like this one better than the last one. But all that white background surrounding it is a bit much. I do find this color easier to read.

I've been involved in web page design for years from the programming side (the designers give me a layout, I program it, but often need to tweak colors...) and have to say that invariably sites which have dark text on a much lighter or white background are easier to read for a significantly larger number of people. This actually looks pretty good to me. If I were going to change the sidebars at all, it would be to a very light blue or grey shade - just barely a notch lighter than the background used on the comment areas.

I *really* love the Zenimax background on dev posts - makes them stand out really well. My only personal issue is the font size seems too narrow in the edit boxes. Overall, a definite improvement.

That said, knowing that you cannot please everyone all the time, a theme selector might not be a bad idea down the line. A lot of web forums have them - which is a good thing because sometimes their default is truly horrible (like any of those light text on dark background designs… ugh.).

I like to Z's now instead of elder scrolls symbol, looks so military/industrial!

On a positive note, the dark tiel is awesome.

The old forums were so nice and thematic, they matched The Elder Scrolls.... Parchment type look, nice layout...
What is this? This is a disgusting travesty of graphic design.

If the darker more solid colour from he top banner went all the way down the sides to border the threads it would darken the light blue/grey of the threads themselves and tone down the brightness. Overall though I like this colour better. Simply remove the excess white but I have no idea if vanilla forums allow this.

Lets see if ZOS listens to it's players now. Most don't like the new color scheme. The layout is still the same and no one is complaining about that. And the lay out is perfect compared to the previous layout that we started out with.

ZenImax we plead with you, either give us a choice of color scheme, either by poll or by letting players chose their own colors. Let this be a customers choice.

Typically I despise change, but this is actually quite nice. However, I'm now torn between wanting the old one back and liking this one. lol Thanks for setting off WWIII in the calm recesses of my inner self, ZOS.
Meanwhile, the idea of a theme selector would be amazing. That way I can have the best of both worlds, switching between the two every once in awhile. It would put an end to the quickly-disintegrating peace within my mind. Please relieve me of this short, but already devastating internal war! My mind! IT BURNS!

I like white text on a black back ground. This new versions is even worse then the old style.

I prefer the new forum. The other was drab & the color of waste.

I'm confused, optional forum skin toggles have been the standard for pretty much all online forums for the past decade. Why do we not have it here?

Is it because....immersion?

The weird trick is hacking. Repeatedly.

Strangely, the more I look at these, the easier they are to read. The dark grey holds the color of most type without being glarey.

Now, if we could do something about the sidebars.. even just a slightly lighter grey than the forum text boxes.

This one is fine, just takes some getting used to.
