OMG I said you don't need CC AT ALL BECAUSE YOU HAVE JESUS BEAM ERHMAGHAD
You asked to be able to CC AGAIN, which I retorted you don't need CC.

I've noticed this too, but I'm not sure if it's specific to jabs, or if they've changed the entire way facing works now. I'll have to do some testing with another skill that's directional without requiring an actual target.TequilaFire wrote: »

Thanks for that @Rune_Relic - that's a change with 1.6 then. As far as gameplay mechanics were concerned, in 3rd person camera facing always used to be the direction you were targeting for any of these skills, regardless of which direction your avatar appeared to be facing.Rune_Relic wrote: »I've noticed this too, but I'm not sure if it's specific to jabs, or if they've changed the entire way facing works now. 3rd person.... No ...bombard is a cone with exactly the same problem....targets character facing direction instead of camera direction.
1st person.....facing = camera direction so should be no problem.

So I guess this means that if you're affected by Talons or something similar that doesn't allow you to move, it is now impossible to attack behind you with any "cone" skill, unless you're in 1st person view.
NO MORE SCREWING OVER PVE to try to [and fail] balance PVP.In PvE the knockback from jabs is totally not necessary and it wont hurt, in case its beeing removed..
Pretty much the entirety of 1.6 was nerfing to pander to PVP QQ with on regard for the negative effects it has on the PVE game, FFS stop that!

Honestly - I wish there were TWO aspects to a character: PvE and PvP. EVERY single ganker in the game is whining and complaining about "<other class> is OP. Nerf dem!" or something else. Just... screw your damn pvp. EVERY CLASS has it's strengths and weaknesses. DKs have their talons and standard, for instance.
I don't pvp and you don't see me whinging and complaining about "this pvp ability is too unfriendly for pve! NERF!"
Hi there,
just saying that the jabs cc is so horribly hurting ourselves that i beg for a removal of it.
We CC the enemy for around 0.5 seconds or less and grant a cc immunity afterwards.
The enemy dont even has to break it and that way we help em alot in pvp.
In PvE the knockback from jabs is totally not necessary and it wont hurt, in case its beeing removed.
So in case you take the cc away from jabs we can cc the enemy again.
Also i dont understand why other classes get cc's as the old jabs while our cc was beeing entirely destroyed.
Fossilize stunns and 100% snares the enemy in the same time. Imagine im melee and get fossilized, i have to break it and dodgeroll out of it. (eats around 30% stamina instantly).
In case i dont break it he can simply cc me again because i dont get any immunity afterwards.
I hope i didnt get too far from the maintopic.
PLS REMOVE THE JABS CC ENTIRELY SO WE CAN CC AGAIN, THX.
In case any players have other opinions, let me know but pls be gentle and argue instead of flaming or trolling, thx.

Very glad everyone agrees, also everyone i asked about it ingame had the same opinion, even my worst enemies.
@Zos, this cant be clearer to see.

...and yet!
Mark me down as another "ZOS please" vote.
ZOS, please! I want to PVP's!
You know what I think? I think they should make it an AOE immobilize like Talons. Why do DK's get to keep a spammable AOE immobilize, Sorc's get a spammable AOE immobilize, NB get a spammable slow/single target immobilize with heavy DOT, and Templars...
...get screwed out of any CC whatsoever by a TERRIBLE design decision.

Jabs are a core aspect of the Templar class itself, it is of course of importance for both, PvE and PvP.
In PvE this ability is fine but the Knockback is also not necessary in PvE , so changing that wouldnt disturb PvE at all.
So where is your problem? pls read the topic before answering without making up your mind first.
Ps: yes, Dragonknight has a standart and talons....(whatever that should mean)!
*facepalm*
