IMHO, you should also get a full Champion Point for completing a gold undaunted pledge run. Do you agree?

And before all of you PVP only players freak out. There should be some equivalent in PVP as well...I don't know..maybe the first keep you capture each day?

    No, I don't think Champion Points shouldbe rewarded for Gold Pledge Runs
    I would actually love this but then I thought about my alts and how many times I could run it in a day with use of my alts. So, adding 4 CPs from pledges a day would only increase the growing power disparity between players with the champion system. It used to be balanced with 1.5, you could get to VR14, gear up, and be ready to go (minus some passives like alliance war). If you come fresh into the game now, you will likely never catch up unless some things change.

    1 CP from enlightenment.
    1 CP from gold pledge + extra xp.
    Add a little grind and you will get 3 CP every day for 2-3 hours.

    Interesting concern. But I would say if you want to run 8 gold pledges a day on different toons then you should earn 8 CP's. But maybe that's too much. Maybe, it can be limited to the first X per day...let's say 1.

    There are players that just want to PvP in this game. We are already forced to do pledges to get great end game sets and now you want to force us to PvE as well?

    From my signature:
    The Champion System should have rewarded Champion Points based off of achievements and feats earned through excelling at end game content not grinding your life away vs mobs in order to stay competitive. This system is uncreative and is a great example of extremely lazy system design.

    Yea its not the players with 1 character that is the prob. Players with multiple v14s would grow too quick in the CS. And we all know the CS was fashioned to create balance...In theory though I think its a good idea, simple.

    Thanks for reaching out to the pvp only folks. That is often overlooked here on the ESO forums. I think that achievements and feats gained from end game content should reward champion points. Dailies and xp grinds are not great advancement methods. I have a post in my signature that explains a method of how crafters, Dungeon delvers,Trial runners, PvP players, questers, thieves/guards/murderers, collectors and fashion RP types could all gain CP doing what they want to do in-game. I have seen a system like I have suggested on production and it works extremely well.

    There's no doubt that the intended slow accumulation of champion points is going to drive the "instant gratification" crowd nuts. But then they've had things their own way in MMOs for far too long, and it will do no harm whatsoever to have just one aspect of the game that takes time to develop.

    it really would not be too bad a reward.

    but it would need to be along side a similar reward for PVP. ideally adding a daily thing in PVP that has a champion point as a reward, like your first "kill such and such each day"

    the champion points even at a extra 2 a day, would not really be that unbalanced since there is a absolute limit, which even with 700+ each year from quests would likely not be the thing that upsets the champain gain.... its going to be the grinders, who will probably manage 3600 in a year anyways.

    I mentioned earlier in the thread that they can easily limit it to 1 (or more) per account a day. In my personal opinion though, if you've taken the time to get multiple characters up to the point to be able to run multiple pledge runs each day and then you in fact run multiple pledges a day on each of those toons, then...you deserve it.

    1 per day per ACCOUNT would be fine. People already farm multiple gold keys per day across multiple characters, and that would be too many CP.

    There is nothing wrong with champion points being easy to get. We were rolled back in power and deserve to be at least the same level we were before 1.6.

    Wrong? No. Everybody is entitled to their opinion.

    My opinion is Yes, they should be awarded for completing a gold pledge. Whether that's once a day per account, or not is certainly also open for debate.

    My earlier comments were clarifications and further points of discussion on the topic. I think a lot of people assumed that if a CP was given as a reward in PVE that there couldn't be a pvp counterpart. Personally, I think both are appropriate, though only one is the strictly construed point of this thread.

    Clearly, you don't like the idea, and that's fine. But I am one of those people that thinks the Champion System is way too slow and am looking for interesting ways to speed it up so that if feels more rewarding.

    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    Big fan of what you do for the community, Atropos, but what you consider "easy" is not representative of what most players would consider easy. You have to admit that...no? I've been in quite a few pugs that can't complete Spindleclutch even after quite some time.

    I don't really mind the "rollback in power" so much. I mean, they have to balance the game to the power of the players anyway. It's all relative. But I agree that the Champion System would be much more "fun" if points were coming fast. I also think it would have the effect of keeping people attached to the game. The current implementation is so long and so drawn-out to the point that I don't really want to work towards it.

    That's why I think CP's should be given out like candy - including as a reward for Gold Pledges (and yes, PVP accomplishments too).
