2. Make sure you have 10 less items from a full inventory if you use a purchased pack horse. When we change to 1.6 your horses will be made into one mount With their trained stats converted. Stats from purchase, like the 10+ from a pack horse, will not. Others had random items deleted on PTS, so keep your items 10 below the max!

Excellent post!
Just to point out that not all of your food will be upgraded.... some V5 purple food changes to V10 (Consumate honey brittle & Consumate sweetrolls). Also worth noting is that OATS change to being a rare drink ingredient... so if you want to use them for food then do it now, or you'll be stuck with a drink ingredient come 1.6.
HINT: Oats make consumate sweetrolls... these switch to V10 purple food! Win!
@Sneak_Thief has done some incredible work on this & made a chart which shows the recipe & ingredient conversions... It's HERE
Same for recipes and style materials for purple motifs. Their drops will go down and will be in owned containers. Recipes will be available if you are doing writs, but I would recommend to buy blue/purple recipes now. They will jump in price with 1.6. I see this price increase even now - rare greens are 2-3k now in guilds. Rare purples (less than level 4) are also going up - 20-25k now. Will see what they will cost when update 6 will come
Style mats like copper/daedra heart/etc are not important now - we have plenty of them, but supply will be down soon. This is still unclear how price will change on them in ~month but I stored 200 each just in case...
Great post. Two things to add, it's Sturdy that's being removed from the Undaunted Monster sets' Shoulder loot table not Reinforced. Also in preparation for being a sneaky Thief, check out my thread on Legerdemain. It's fully up to date as of 1.6.4.
sylviermoone wrote: »Isn't 1.6 also bringing a nerf to upgrade mats via hirelings, and increasing drop rates of those same materials via refining? If this is indeed the case, you may want to hold off on refining your raw materials until after 1.6 drops on live.
Re refining. As far as I know there is no increase in yellow tempers on PTS vs live. AND hirelings where nerfed. So prices on yellow and probably purple tempers will go up a lot when update 6 will be on live. You probably want to refrain from selling them now...

This happened to me the first time they copied the US toons over to the PTS, but when they did the second copy (for 1.6.2), my inventory was the same as it is on Live (and I have Pack horses for most of my characters).
Have the EU folks reported that the issue is back in 1.6.4? Otherwise, I would assume it's fixed.
Refine rate on PTS from 1.6 > 1.6.4 of Legendary Tempers is 5%, which is basically what many of us get on Live right now. Where ZoS "significantly increased" the drop rate is the Coffer you get when you turn in Writs. For both Kuta and Legendary Tempers they certainly increased the drop rate there. Unfortunately this means ZoS is forcing players to do Writs that most hate doing (the Crafting ones at least) or deal with what will likely be a higher cost of gold mats in 1.6. As for Refining testing, we have Refined ~60K raw mats combined between NA and EU on PTS.heroofnoneb14_ESO wrote: »They noted there should be a higher drop, but I didn't hear much from folks testing the drop rate. Hard to say, I personally get about 5% on Live and I was one of the PTS testers of Refining to a tone of nearly 10K raw mats myself. There is one Reddit post from December iirc that shows a sample size of 20K raw mats and they got a 2.67% Legendary drop rate. That's the only Live test I know of recently so take it for what you will.heroofnoneb14_ESO wrote: »Refine rate on PTS from 1.6 > 1.6.4 of Legendary Tempers is 5%, which is basically what many of us get on Live right now. Hmm, I won't argue the values if they have tested that far, but is it better to refine now or later is the question.

As many know, 1.6 has been delayed, but there are several things you can do in preparation to ensure you get your maximum return and have the lowest chance of having issues:
1. Take anything out of your mail and store it on a character. Your mailbox is not a bank, as ZOS has pointed out to me in a few trouble tickets, and letting things sit in there makes it more likely it will be deleted over time or when a major patch happens. Don't be surprised if support refuses to restore your legendary items lost
2. Make sure you have 10 less items from a full inventory if you use a purchased pack horse. When we change to 1.6 your horses will be made into one mount With their trained stats converted. Uncommon oats, used in consummate sweetrolls, will now be used in drinks. Here is a post with more details done by @Sneak_Thief.
4. Screenshot or youtube your achievements. If you pride yourself as an achievement hunter and don't want to lose a particular dye or title, record it incase some get lost. Around 1.3/1.4 older players will remember some achievements were lost randomly, so Screenshot it to give support proof of your deeds!
5. Train 3 horses in one specific stat. As mentioned earlier the top 3 trained stats will be combined into a single riding skill, so you can train each Stat 3x faster today than tomorrow, when you can only train one at a time. This applies to mostly imperial edition players at this point, since only the one gold horse would be cost effective.
6. Store quests if you're getting your max CP on conversation. Storing quests simply mean to complete quests up till the final turning stage but not completing it. If your getting your max 70 champion points, because you have a vr14 or multiple VR characters, then storing these will give you a nice boost when 1.6 comes out. Even if all you do is grind, get some ready!
7. Store golden undaunted keys. This can be a pain, because they can't in the bank, but save these till 1.6. The drop rate on shoulders is increasing and the sturdy versions are gone.
8. Hold off on buying pvp coffers. There are VR 13 and vr14 versions coming in 1.6
9. Farm a few purple motifs and recipes. you don't know how hard farming will be, so get some and store some if you can. Prices will also probably go up with the buy to play release
10. Stock up on the basics for crafting. certain basic ingredients and motif essentials will now be in owned drawers, so stock up on a few before it becomes illegal.
11. Stock raw materials but don't refine. Refining materials and doing writs will give more rare materials. Hirelings will give fewer gold mats, so save up the raw material and get ready to fill out more work orders.
12. Save some different gear. 1.6 changes a lot, so stop trashing your heavy armor or medium armor drops, some of that may be more powerful now for your play style.
13. Prepare to sneak and lockpick. Thieving is fun, save some lockpick and practice your sneaking. If you're not as sneaky as a khajiit or Nightblade look into the nightshade or nightmothers embrace dropped sets. These will reduce your detection radius. Read this post on legerdemain for more thriving details done by @DeLindsay.
14. Read the 1.6 patch notes! Things are constantly changing so hop over to the PTS forums to see what else has changed!
If anyone has any other items that should be added just post a reply. If it seems appropriate I'll toss it in.
I'll see most of you folks when 1.6 does come live and I'll try to get an updated highlight section on twitch and youtube for dungeons and other content as well. Have fun in the meantime =3.

A side note on this: You only need one purple food recipe, and one purple drink recipe. All the purple recipes in 1.6 use the same rare ingredient(one for drink, one for food), so there is no point in buying multiple, say, purple drink recipes now.

Provisions ingredients were raised in price to 150 gold. We were told our old ingredients would sell for the price of purchasing new ingredients. Initially the price of new ingredients was 10 gold. Can someone from EU with their character copy confirm old ingredients are still only being sold for 10gold? Or if the sale price was raised to match the new ingredient price?

From screenshots sent to me yesterday they were not. I will repost when I'm at home. making the vr5 food is a pretty safe bet though.

Safer bet for those who might actually use the VR10 food it converts to. Some people aren't there yet.. And could be months until they hit VR10. *points at self* ☺ I'd rather take the gold if it was changed to 150The new Vr10 food may not sell well since so many people plan on cooking up now.
Thanks in advance for checking later. And I must ask.. These screenshots are from the latest pts patch?
