Negate cancels food buffs? heard a rumor

    Well tbh it will only be for 8 or so seconds, and can be CC broke and avoided.

    does not excuse it though.

    It's never canceled food buffs before, but if it does in 1.6, so long as it's temporary I'll approve. It basically got nerfed to uselessness.

    People were saying on live today it wipes it, you have to re-eat food to get food buff back....

    i think they mean that the caster gets his food buff removed ? :D i guess it's for the morph that is supposed to buff your stats. so instead it debuffs you ? :'D

    ya I hope it was a troll today, but they were saying ESO responded working as intended. So less food becomes super super easy and cheap to get Negate removing food buff would be the worse thing ever

    Ok...? This is an odd rumor. Can a group test this on PTS? /bug it if it is true, and either way report your findings here for us to see. I am from the NA megaserver, not using a Template, so I do not have my character to confirm/deny the rumor.

    If this is true on the current 1.5 build then spread the word and work around until 1.6 comes along and fixes it.
    But it is hard to believe such a bug could occur on the 1.5 build so late in its cycle and without any modifications to the build for nearly a month.

    Before getting upset I would test this. Could be a troll you all are feeding.

    it should cancel all buffs+10% of character exp (CP) >:)>:)>:) because it's called "negate" not "DIspel"

    does this effect sorcerers only or is this to all races hit by negate?

    This is weird. This worries me for all the other buffs. Does Blazing Sheild make the food buffs go away because it gives you health. -____-

    I could see that before the food revamp. But now I think your being silly.

    But don't recall any one at ZoS saying that. Besides that wouldn't make any sense either.

    So on live we can't drink potions while silenced, on pts we can't eat or drink while silenced....What does negate have against food?

    Please fix this, and potions too. Being silenced should have no effect on your ability to consume herbs or hold on to the contents of your stomach. Negate also prevents you from packing up a siege. I guess when you pack up a siege you are uttering a magic shrinking spell.

    Negates will remove food buffs. confirmed. It will also prevent you from using any pots for ten minutes. :s

    Can we get a confirmation that this is a bug and not intended. A class ability should not remove food/drink buffs.

    Actually no. If this stays most people wont even bother with food. Thus making provisioning much worse overall.

    Does it remove drink buffs? Maybe it's their way of getting us to drink more. If it's an issue that buffs don't stack, this could be happening with other skills and it's not been discovered yet.

    I already drink enough while playing, drunken pvp nights! Maybe ESO can supply us liquor in real life specially if they go live with this patch.

    This will more than likely hit the live server this way. They would have to postpone 1.6 yet again which is doubtful. It will kill the sale of food/drink buffs causing a major hit to the economy. The next few weeks should be really interesting to see what happens in the world of ESO....

    ZOS just stated in another post there will be no more updates prior to update 6 going to live. If this is indeed happening it will get pushed for sure to the live server.

    I really hope this doesn't go live. For an ultimate that takes about 2 minutes to generate being able to wipe out something that is supposed to last 1 to 2 hours is ridiculous. Especially for the purple recipes that cost ingredients that you can only obtain from your hireling. ZOS please clarify what's going on.
