Blues helped me get Emperor from the EP terror regime on Blackwater couple months ago, I talked with a few AD that were regulars and we agreed to grab a DC scroll and run it back for them. It's basically a thank you to the other group, shake hands after a game, etc etc.
A scroll was a the reward for Emperor ? I had no idea my peers loyalty could be bought so cheaply . Hats off to You Salesman of the year !
Lol... They helped us at Ash, by cutting off Aleswell, because I asked them to... Not because they were getting a scroll out of it. The decision to give them a scroll came about an hour later when I had finished rolfstomping the EP zergs with muh yellow friends back to their gates. And we were like
Speaker A says: "Yall feel like running another scroll?"
Looks at speaker A, speaker B says: Hellllll naaaahhh mutha [snip] you crazzzzy!!!"

I'll explain the gray area here . Since there's options to enter same campaigns with opposite faction toons , there's no real way to determine this Scroll gift just isn't delivering what a player wants on his or her main faction toon . They could be trolling the other team . Now if factions were locked down tight with no loop holes to switch sides , the authenticity of this transaction being simply a truce offering would be met with less scrutiny .
This situation doesn't really contain a gray area though. It was a 1 for 1 swap with both sides agreeing.
I fully understand that not everyone on both sides agreed with the decision, but that is diplomacy/politics for ya.
No it's more like any country in the 17th century, the elite decide things for the minority, because the minority tends to be... Rabble.kpittsniperb14_ESO wrote: »Pancake-Tragedy wrote: »DisgracefulMind wrote: »

Who gets to make these decisions for the faction? Is there a council of guilds that I am unaware of that decides these things for everyone else?

In terms of actual scroll trading where one alliance grabs a scroll and willingly dies/drops it, for another alliance to pick up and deposit, is not an exploit as much as it's campaign politics. Gate jumpers however, as we've discussed on these forums, is an exploit.

Complain if a Dev doesn't respond and make sarcastic remarks when they do, that's an interesting approach.

I attempts to point out the problem of your approach. As much as some people on here seem to think Devs aren't human or are slaves to our whims... they are people... And if you want them to interact a good start is to be less toxic and treat them as people. You'll find they, like most people, will appreciate that and respond in kind. You see it in plenty of gaming communities because it gets so toxic that its simply safer/better for everyone for the Dev's to completley remove themselves from the community/discussion. It simply gets too toxic and is not benefiting anyone. So, yeah.

well forgive me for being fed up with the devs allowing blatant cheating to go on for months on end without doing squat about it. dang right im going to post sarcastic remarks when they do decide to comment, dang right it will turn the community toxic; if the devs want my respect, they have to earn it. I am not giving it to them simply because they are devs.

Taking a constructive tone is far more helpful to communication and solving a problem than taking a toxic one and just venting your frustrations. Constructive > Toxic To boil it down to the simplest terms. Criticism tends puts a person on the defensive (see above) and adding insult to it just clouds the issue and basically insures that they will not want to listen to you. I'm pretty sure we all want ESO to be even better or we wouldn't be having this conversation.
