Black Screen after pressing "PLAY", NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti, 2/16/15

Hello everyone,

I just came back to play the game! Hooray! But now it wont work

.....I had no problem playing it on launch. Attached is the "Game Consultant Report". Please someone help! I have submitted a ticket with no response yet. I read that Nvida cards have problems anything specific about NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti. I have already re installed drivers, re installed the game, updated all drivers, running as admin....nothing seams to work. I press play and all it does is black screen.

C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu Open usersettings.ini from this file location and try to change D3D11 to D3D9. I hope it works.

Hey there matthew.adamkramerb14a_ESO!

There are a couple of things that look like they would cause issues, but we'd be happy to help!

First, it looks like Windows is not completely up to date. You're running on Windows 8 as opposed to 8.1, which is a free update from Microsoft. Here's how to perform that update:

Once that's completed, be sure to head to the Windows Updates program and just make sure that you have every "Important" update installed.

It also looks like there's some weirdness happening with your Nvidia drivers, as the driver versions aren't even listed in the DXDiag in the report.

It looks like the drivers are the same whether you're on 8 or 8.1, so please feel free to give these a shot either before or after updating Windows:
