Still though, a class that should have been in launch yet wasn't was the Warden iirc, and it was nature based like a Wyress or Druid, and frankly it boggles my mind as to why it isn't here.
In light of this no longer being a class and new classes a nigh impossibility for some time to come, I propose introducing a Wyress/Warden skill line loaded with powerful nature spells so people can play a Shaman or Druid archetype.
It's not crap because it's true if you look at it correctly. In previous TES games the Class you picked ONLY decided what base stats you started with. You were then completely free to choose how you played your Character, this is called an OPEN Class system. This was the same from at least Morrowind and up. In ESO as well as most MMO's they are a LOCKED Class System in that you can NEVER choose to use Negate on a NB as an example or have Reflective Scales on your Sorc. Locked Classes should never have been designed into ESO.rawne1980b16_ESO wrote: »There are no classes in Elder Scrolls

Get out, no way, you are lying.
You mean TES 5 wasn't the first and only one?
Not like the 5 gave it away or it being a series or having stated numerous times i've played them all included Battlespire and Redguard.
There are no classes.
You can pick how you start but you can level how you want.
Hold on while I log in Oblivion and tell my Assassin it can longer use magic because people on the ESO forums seem to think all the games before Skyrim conformed to classes which is, arguably, the biggest steaming pile of equine excrement i've ever read.
"Classes" dictated your starting stats and what stats would benefit the most not how you played.
Skyrim expanded on that because Oblivions levelling system was a sloshing river of monkey urine. Want to focus on certain stats? Just make sure you don't do anything like ... moving ... or you'd end up levelling athletics without wanting to.
I wrote:Not picking at you, but just throwing this out there: There were more TES games than just Skyrim in the main series. And for TES 1-4 there most definitely classes.
Tons of freedom in how you made your character play a set class, yes. You could even eschew the pre-made classes and make your own custom class. But classes were indeed a part of TES. Heck, even in Skyrim if you open up the creation kit and take a look at the npcs, they all have some class that they are supposed to be-even though the dovahkin was full on custom.
I would much rather see a complete removal of the current classes than even more classes. I'm all for new skilllines that everyone can use though.
Still don't know how people can use Skyrim as a reference for the series, it's probably the worst one of all.
None, I would rather ZoS remove Classes from ESO entirely and let us choose how we want to play and pick what abilities we want to use (even if everyone ends up running the FoTM).
I am loving it too, and not just slightlyxXDeadscarXx wrote: »Side note: Im slightly loving how theres only 5 action slots, makes it less overwhelming when getting new skills. Gives you more of a straight up this is how he will play.

I disagree. Oblivion was the worst of the last 3. Morrowind was great, but Oblivion wasn't all that. I quickly got bored of grinding the oblivion plane in Oblivion and thought the story line was really short in comparison to Morrowind.
For me I'd have to say either Morrowind or Skyrim are my favorites. And I'd probably lean to Skyrim but only because of graphics.
It's hard to put Arena, Daggerfall or even Battlespire and Redguard in the same boat because of the gap in release until Morrowind. Technology had come a long way by the time Morrowind was released and it was really just an amazing game at the time.
Battlespire was cool because it offered multiplayer, and Redguard didn't even let you create your own character. Battlespire and Redguard were probably people's least favorite of the series, but I doubt many here have even played them.
