Install is stuck at "Applying Patch"

I installed the game via DVD, then the patching started. after 5% at exactly 3025.03 mb remaining on the whatever patch it's loading, it stuck. it says "Applying patch" and that's it. I reinstalled the game 3 times. Stops each time at the same numbers. What can be wrong?

I use a Macbook Pro X 10.8.5 i7 AMD Radeon HD 6770m

Trying to download the game without the CD -after having drained my internet connection with repeatedly re-downloading the patch- is extremely slow and inconvenient. I have been waiting to play this game for days now. Is there no other way?

Unless you can find someone with a fully patched Mac client in your neighborhood, downloading is the only way to go.

There will be a major download, no matter what, because the DVDs are old. There have been five major patches to the game, and the differences to the game files amount to several GB of data.

Are you on WiFi? If so, try connecting your MacBook Pro directly to the router via network cable. This will maximize connection quality on your side. Which, frankly, is the only thing you can do.

No, I am not using WiFi. And if that's not enough, I've been getting "WebGet request failed" error while downloading.
My internet has no trouble at all. We have two computers at home, and the PC has downloaded and patched the game with no major trouble. It's been 3 days for mac, and I'm still at 0%, because of the WebGet error.

Have you tried to disable the App Nap feature for Launcher.app?

Open /Applications/ZeniMax Online in the Finder, right-click on Launcher.app, select "Get Info", check "Prevent App Nap" in General.

Ah no! But after almost three days of work and some mailing with the support stuff i handled it somehow. Not sure what i have exactly done, changed the DNS, downloaded the launcher app like u said from the internet and now it works fine! Thank you for your time and help!!
