You are not left behind - behind in what? Leveling.
Leveling is not a race you can Loose, its just your own time spent in the PVE part of the game.
Leveling up fast to get ahead in the endgame is only an issue in the very beginning of a MMO release. There you can have a slight advantage.

But now 1 year later, 10, 20 or 30% xp boost has no other effect than you getting to max level a Little faster. It has no relevance in comparison to others, since there are already tons of players at max level.

XP boost is not a win button in any way, its only nice to have, not need to have.
There is no way you can get behind if you dont use it. So stop the pointless whining.

so not having an exp boosts makes me have the same exp gain as someone who has it ? cause thats what your saying

No, im saying you dont get behind in anyway, since you dont miss out on anything compared to those who do have xp boost.
    You Loose nothing.
All you gain is a Little faster leveling, but your character is not stronger og weaker because of it, and you are not in any disposition compared to others.

All you do is adjust the time spent on leveling for yourself.
    This thread is pointless.

So gaining exp 10% faster than someone else means you level faster....meaning your stronger.

everyone will reach the same point eventually and nobody will be stronger than another due to paying for it. There is no "10% extra strength for 1000 crowns" that would be p2w..

You are wrong. The entire point of cp is not to max it ever. Subbing gives 10% more cp permanently. Potions give even more. Nobody will ever be in the same "point" as someone else.

True, if the day ever came where they started offering giant boosts and equipment/materials in the shop, I would leave as well, but so far nothing coming into the crown store can be classified as P2W.

So, is a matter of scale? 50k experience isn't P2W, but 1000k is? Face it, this and the rings or Mara and the 10% exp boost are all P@W, just the early phase. Expect to be able to buy a VR! character in the store in the near future, probablly a VR14 too.

People fail to understand this. If people buy exp boosts then ZOS will surely start selling armor and everything else. It's a cheap cash grab and it makes me think the game is in serious trouble.

Could the folks that consider the current items in the Crown shop p2w please do me the personal favor of quitting already? Pretty please?

And now to the exp potions - oh noes! So you mean.. like.. people can buy potions with either crowns or gold (which is available in abundance) in order to get roughly where any subbed player already is once TU goes live? Oh noes!

I for one will enjoy my sub bonus, being grouped with my spouse, my Ring of Mara and once these pots go live, I'll spend gold on them which also is a very good thing for the game economy (removing gold from players pretty much always is, keeps prices from inflating too much).

It's such a far jump from something like an exp potion to an OP weapon, I can't believe someone would consider all the current stuff p2w - and the exp potion? That's really just a common convenience item, making them available for gold is actually a pretty neat move of ZOS.

But of course this isn't going to affect you as you've been posting every dayt for the last two weeks you see no point in playing after your stats got nerfed and you'll be 'leaving' like so many others you claim will do.

And what makes you think he didn't, posting on this forums is linked to having purchased the game, not to having an active sub.

I avoid logging into this piece of ***** and it is not much of an effort, but since ZOS got my money for Imp edition upgrade I might as well enjoy the forums.
I can tell you for a FACT from personal experience you're wrong, without an active sub. you have no login ability on the forums, at least up to 4 weeks ago that was the case and I see no reason to think it's changed since.

Because if your paying with cash....your still paying. If your paying with gold that could be spent on gear, potions, a mount, repairs, siege equipment or anything else...your still paying to win. Also make sure and welcome in all the gold farmers who will take advantage of this system your defending. I haven't lost anything. You have lost the ability to see when a gaming company has failed so badly they feel the need to do a petty cash grab less than a year after launch

As such, I can tell you that we'll almost certainly have experience boost potions in the store at some point, as this kind of shortcut (spending less time to gain experience) is classified as a convenience. That way, you still have the choice of purchasing them with crowns or in-game gold.

you dont pay a sub your 10% behind

What's next? They didnt put your favorite hip hop band t-shirt in the store and now you are thinking if you will leave or not the game?

So its most definitely is p2w. If I don't spend currency I won't progress as fast as someone else. That's about as clear as it gets. Don't try and belittle it like " chill out it's just 10%". This is just the start.

Might as well face facts. At first yes they will make money off box sales and cosmetics. Then the box sales will drop off. They will then offer a free "basic" client. They will start offering more and more of what people consider pay to win items. By these I mean stat boosts. Basic gear with stats on it. Eventually all the way to end game crafting upgrades. All classed as "time savers". Ive been through two of these now (DDO then LOTRO). It happens slowly like carving something out of stone. They do it like that so as not to make people freak out.

If they start selling armor and weapons that make you stronger, then most players will leave the game. ZOS know this, and if you dont understand the logic, then go away, and dont come back to this thread.

XP boosts does NOT give anyone any kind of advantage, so its ok to sell in a store. Items that makes you stronger is a totally different story.

From playing on PTS not much difference between 70 points and 77 points. I mean I put 24 points into heavy armor and went from 5% to like 5.6% lol. I am asking myself why even bother if the difference between 0 points and 24 points is .6%.

Adding a 10% will make you level faster and being a higher level makes you stronger. It's easy to tell someone who you disagree with to go away. It's not easy I guess to do math.

10% tho isnt much. If the boosts were 25% I could understand people being upset.

It's a marketing thing. Like many other games, they'll advance little step by little step. And when you'll have lvl 50 in store and buyable craft traits, you'll have players that will defend it as now, cause they would have been used to this sort of thing. Little by little. Frog, water, cold, hot, etc.

I know in LOTRO they offer a lvl 50 premade guy. Thing is if they didnt youd be a year or two trying to hit lvl 100. It was years tho before they offered that option.
