Weapon swap Cooldown, keep it or revert it?

So this new weapon swap Cooldown after you swap was removed in 1.5 for a better responsive feel to weapon swap, well guess what boys and girls, it is back. most the time i die pvping is because of this new cooldown after swapping preventing me to swap back. I'm sitting there casting spells on the wrong weapon thinking I'm on the other one. If people were complaining about weapon swap it was probably not during normal play but when crap got laggy in Cyrodiil because of zerg bomb groups. So the issue was never the weapon swap, it was the crappy lag.

I can't figure out how to make this a poll so

Yay - i love this change.
Nay- I hate this change.

It is not the Swap that triggers the cooldown. Every single skill triggers it. Cast a buff out of combat and you will need to wait 0.5-1s before swapping.

Yeah it activates after any ability use, including dodge rolling I think. I prefer the old way. Yes it lagged a bit but you just carried on selecting abilities knowing the UI would catch up. As an NB, I'm finding myself casting dark cloak before swapping weapons just so I can stop combat for the half second needed to allow a weapon swap.

Yeah this is really crappy I must admit swaping weapons is not very smooth as it was on PTS launch!

I seriously do NOT want a cool down on it. I simply want a notification of some sort for which weapon I am using. Using 2 similar and same weapons becomes a nightmare at times to know which you have equipped.

When I hit the weapon swap button, I want my weapons to swap, period.

I used to be able to snipe then swap to my 2h axe. The snipe would trigger the bleed lolz. Maybe that's part of the reason?

While I am casting bar 1 skill 2 I should be able to hit hotwap skill 3 and have skill 3 occur as soon as skill 2 is finished. That is how hot swap should work. That is what I want to happen.

I love it, In live I often swap to my weapon but it swaps right back because I have to spam it for 5 secs before it swaps. On pts I swap with no issues.

It is an issue for people that want to cast a single thing from their second weapon set instead of being locked to it for certain time. It is problematic for twitch builds.

I guess you either experience lag on live or don't have the timing right.
Both the rotation on my sorc and DK on live require a bit of weapon swapping. The DK rotation includes 2 weapon swaps every 10sec and I can implement it for 10+ min on live without ever getting stuck on the wrong bar.

I like the cooldown, this lets me bind swap it the mouse wheel to work just like your standard Shooter games weapon swap system, in 1.5 mouse wheel binding would work but you have to be very gentle meaning one mouse wheel click to far and your weapon swap will just spam back and forth, with this cool down I can slam my mouse wheel without fear of causing swap spam between weapons.

Did they change it in 1.6.1? On 1.6.0 I was able to swap instantly after using a skill, and even while the skill was taking place. That's how it should have stayed.

FINALLY they have found a way to avoid the Macro SWAP_CAST_SWAP > 0.1 sec in one button, i can fight at the same level of most OP players of cyro now.

And dont tell me it wasnt used, there's even a lot of tutorials on the tube "how to set this CHEAT"

I have not thoroughly tested 1.6.1 (cannot find a crafter to re-outfit me), but on 1.6.0 I like the concept of the cooldown, but do believe it should be shortened to 0.5 seconds or thereabouts. Weapon swapping for one skill on the alternate bar is a core part of skilled play, both 1.5's double-swapping and the current cooldown hinder this.

I agree with this completely. I don't want to feel like I'm (frantically) fighting the UI. It needs to respond as quickly as possible, though perhaps with some allowance for preventing what ZOS may perceive as an exploit.

terrible, please revert it, so many times ive been caught on the wrong bar and cant execute an enemy or heal. I dont know how it was even thought to be an improvement...
i personally feel it was put in to improve server stability or whatever, i dont know the mechanics of it but theres been so many issues with crashing and weapon swapping.
