1.6 & 1.6.1: Passive skills relating to potion consumption

I don't have the PTS open in front of me so just going on memory.

The Argonian racial passive, Nightblade passive, and alchemy passive that boost potions seem to have changed from a style that was like increase potency of potion by X% to something like when drinking a potion, restore 150 health, magicka, and stamina or give you ultimate.

I don't understand why the change here.
1) The % boost was scalable prior, if the new values are static that would just seem silly as to not grow with your progression. Ultimate gain and using potions also seems like a stretch.
2) By pidgeonholing the bonus to static restore/ult it takes away from the dynamic nature of potions and the dynamic pre 1.6 percentage potency bonus that could apply to various potions such as damage, crit, detection, restore, etc.

Part of the coolness of potions, and having a variety in the quickslots, is to be able to use different potions in different situations. The healthmagstam restore or plain ult gain on drink really kills that. With healthmagstam restore, there are plenty of situations where we don't need any or part of that and it's just a waste.

Why not keep it like it was so we benefit from the potions we want to use and for situations we want to use them in?

Also, it's hard to give feedback on this if it's not well known or included in patch notes.

The NB catalyst passive was only mentioned in 1.6.1 notes as its ultimate gain values were upped from 1.6 but no patch notes in 1.6

Argonian potion passive ability not mentioned in either patch notes.

Alchemy crafting potion passive not mentioned in either patch notes.

Additional feedback: Add these changes to patch notes..............

Alternative suggestion: If you are looking to tweak it because it's OP or something why not look at adjusting the % value rather than the nature of the bonus.

The design behind the potion (and all buff) changes were to make it difficult to "Stack" buffs beyond a certain buff to have people who could go around 1-shotting people.

World of Warcraft initial had this kind of thing and I was well known for taking advantage of that and it didn't make much for competitive pvp when people run around chaining buffs to 1-shot others.

I actually like the way potions are right now TBH.

Then why not just increase the effects by a smaller percentage (didn't seem like it was OP but shrug), or instead of "effectiveness" increase duration of whatever potion you are drinking.

I mean if I pop a detection potion at full health mag and stam (or any potion for that matter), the on drink restore is doing absolutely nothing.

At least with duration it's not adding more to stacking, and makes more sense for adding the bonus for the skill in to the utility you are -looking for- as opposed to a restore or ult gain.
