Which begs a question: if the newly announced Barbershop is a DLC (which the thread on that is expecting) and a 'subber' uses it, do they lose the changes if they stop being a 'Plus' member?
So I'm watching the Quest Gaming on Twitch, and Paul Sage just said they are ending the ESO loyaly program after the 9 month reward.
Wow. Way to show you day 1 players how much you appreciate them by ending it as soon as B2P hits.
Makes sense to me. We now have 3 items for being loyal subscribers that nobody else will ever get.So I'm watching the Quest Gaming on Twitch, and Paul Sage just said they are ending the ESO loyaly program after the 9 month reward.

Did they EVER show appreciation? Listen. They knew they were lying about the direction this game was going from the get go. ALL the data said what their mouths were not. And monkey's and Frost Wraiths? LOL WTF is that other than a spoonful of sugar-coated saw dust?
Did you really expect anything? All the features that can be twisted into $$$ will be and that means not giving away stuff that equals $$$....Just sayin.
It's not a 1 year reward, we'll get an the onset of B2P, which makes it a 10 month reward or something. But it's a one-time deal, if you miss it, you'll never have another chance to get it. So it's different from other loyalty rewards. In the ESO live announcing B2P, they said there would be a cool mount at 1 year. I guess it was just yet another lie.

Veteran Rewards, as they're called in other games, aren't uncommon. They're a way for them to thank us for keeping the faith and staying the course.
Faith? Course? I payed them so I could play the game they were selling. That in no way entitles me to free stuff. I get why the company does it, what I'm not getting is the outrage that they aren't going to be anymore. Club Nintendo is about to disappear too..DAMN YOU ESO! NOTHER FAIL! YOU PROMISED! etc..
It's not a sense of entitlement, it's a biological response. Something pleasant is taken away, a negative sensation is usually paid toward the force doing the removal.
Science.
Take that! With your high horse!

This reveal has really made it pointless to remain subbed. I made the below post to propose some additional benefits after looking at what other games offer.

It's not really the fact they are stopping the loyalty rewards that's the problem for me.
It's this whole 'pandora's box' scenario where once the B2P was made public knowledge, we can for-see step after step after step similar to this, leading the game down the wrong path.
I really do feel bad for the devs here - i'm sure they never planned on flipping the table on subscribers in such a short space of time.

Oh come on. The devs here are the ones pushing this change. Dont let them fool you.

A few of them left - i'm assuming they left because they weren't happy with the state-of-play perhaps?
I'm not talking specifically about the devs in charge, moreover the devs who work on the meat and gravy, not the accountable devs who meet with the suits.

I keep hearing this rumor some left. First off I see no evidence of anyone leaving. Second we have no idea why they left if they did leave. This business has a high turnover rate. Always that next mmo they need people to work on.
Fact is everyone on the team is behind this change and wanted it to happen.

Other games you dont have to buy the box tho so thats not a good comparison.
Highly unlikely, vastly more likely is it's driven by the bean counters in Zenimax Media, ZOS' overlords, I doubt even Firor had the final say.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »It's not really the fact they are stopping the loyalty rewards that's the problem for me.
