The cost is not high. At least for blocking. It is the same as on the live server multiplied by 10. The resources nerf is the problem. If you want to increase that pool and the regeneration for it you need CPs which we have to grindcote-bmsb16_ESO wrote: »Yea. Cost of roll dodging & blocking is really high even though I spec'd into a stamina templar. I played this game longer than i'd like to admit, and the introduction of CP makes it seem like a daunting mountain to climb.. Again. At v14.

Did you even try it out? Are you serious? Anything that earns XP also earns CP. Questing, Undaunted daily's, Cyrodiil daily's, PvP, Trials, Craglorn daily's, group dungeons, public dungeons, delves, dolmens, and just plain grinding groups of overland mobs. You will be able to earn several CP's per day.
If you can do all the content you could before, there is no problem. Everyone else was made weaker too so this has no effect in pvp. You are just as good as before regardless how powerful you feel.

They're keeping the 1-50 game for people that want to level quickly, do dungeons together, and be impressed with getting new shiney more powerful items at a fairly high pace. The 50+ game is for people who will play for years and focus on PvP \ end game raiding. That 50+ game is who the champion system is designed for, and the design (rightly or wrongly) is for it to take years for most players to max out.
ZOS doesn't have an interest in keeping your characters at the same effectiveness as before the 1.6 update. They have an interest in attracting a new player base, which means the new players have to feel like they can catch up to existing players. If existing players are overly powerful, it will discourage the new players from staying in the game.
Keeping your current character is simply your reward for the paid beta. ESO 2.0 will be a similar, but different game. Zeni is plotting player response against the change curve and feeling out the community SARA response, but by and large this is a reboot of the game and should be approached as such.
I really hope PvP xp is boosted...and my biggest concern is the hardcore 12hr+ a day grinders...in 30 days will have max CP, then return to Cyrodiil, and just crush the average gamer. We'll see....

Some players simply have more time to play than others and will always be ahead of them in some way. Such is life.
Even grinding 12+ hours per day, it will still take over a year to get max CP. Actually, at 5 CP's per day (2 million XP) it will take 2 years to max out at 3,600 CP. Even if they got 10 CP's per day it would still take a year.
At level cap you gain no XP, so not sure how that comes into a reply to my question.fromtesonlineb16_ESO wrote: »And what PVE game is there to play at VR14 that will generate even a single CP in a month?Rev Rielle wrote: »You can get more Champion Points by playing the game.

You stop gaining XP at level cap, how does that help?jp_antillb16_ESO wrote: »Something people forget is membership also. +10% xp on top of your current fastest rate of gain and I wouldn't mind betting there will be something that will extend inspiration. If everyone retains their current status of subscription we will all have this.

Which is really, really stupid.

ZOS have said CPs are directly connected to character XP and that stops at level cap. Maybe you're right, but it's not what ZOS have described up till now.

Why is that?
BoloBoffin wrote: »One way to get CP by playing content is roll a second character and level him to VR1 right now. When the conversion hits, you've got the other two alliances zones to play with that new VR1, and every CP it earns belongs to all your toons.
The other way is to get thy toon to Cyrodiil. You earn XP right alongside AP there.
I'm ok with that, but if you make the gap so large that a small minority of the best powergamers just destroying the rest of your 99% of player base...well, you aren't going to have enough people paying $$$.
Has to be a balance...diminishing returns. Simply as a level 51 is 5% better than a level 50. And a level 60 is 10% better than a level 50.
Can't have a level 60 be 50% better than a level 50. Arbitrary numbers.
If you put it in ESO terms
If a 200 CP character is 50% stronger than a 100 CP character...there will be problems.
If they're 10%-15% stronger...than yeah sure, no prob
When they announced 30 CP I never cried. I wouldn't cry now too if they didn't cut our resources and put them into the CP system. What is happening now, is that all the progress that I have during the last 6 months is gone and I need another 6 months to get this progress back. But there is no new content to achieve this progress, so I have to go and grind mobs.Forestd16b14_ESO wrote: »Enough with the CP crying already. You already got Zenimax to change it to were you get 70 and lowers get nothing now but now your crying again for 500? Just play the game and stop trying to be "that guy".
