The champion system may be slow in comparison, though I think considering that each ChP counts for up to 8 characters... that makes it much better then some other games I can think of where you have to play the endgame grind each time for every alt...
Seen from that PoV, it sounds more reasonable. Add the notion of continuing growth no matter what content they might want to introduce down the road... I can easily see quests coming someday that will award bonus ChP on completion if they notice CS progression for the average player is slower then they thought if would be...

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Only the conversion system will use 200,000XP for one Champion Point the day the system goes live in Update 6. This is not what it will take to earn a Champion Point while playing normally once the Champion System is live.
Just as with the PA system in Rift, which the CP system is clearly modeled on to some extent at least, there is no need to cap anything here, it's supposed to be an on-going character progression mechanism .. if it were easy to cap then it has no long-term purpose.Humanistic wrote: »Thoughts? I think they should cut the CP xp gain in half.

The way I see it, it is supposed to provide continual gain as you play, throughout a great many (hopefully) planned future expansions of ESO... So I for one am rather happy it will not get filled anytime soon, but continue to provide growth for our characters.
Also, they way I see it, not every skill in the consteallations is desirable for any character. So people will prioritize... choose those best suited for their playstyle, and only move on to less useful effects once they fill their wish list.
Of course... the actual rate of gain may face some adjustments in the coming times, as the developers decide. But I doubt it will ever be something anyone can max out in a few weeks hard grinding, that would defeat the whole purpose of the system I think...

Most MMORPGs do not have a lifespan of over 9 years. Obviously, a joke. If I have to explain a simple joke. I am very sad.starkerealm wrote: »Brittany_Joy wrote: »It is a joke...Hortator Mopa wrote: »Brittany_Joy wrote: »Wow, it only takes a few short 9.86 YEARS to max out the Constellations! Some people actually think like that. Its a sad place.
It can be hard to tell sometimes. No offense.
I know the 200k is stated to be NOT the final number, but where are people getting the 400k number from? Was that finally officially stated somewhere? Or is it the value currently in use on the test sever? Or is it just the general community guess?goldnugget wrote: »it is 200k per cp currently with the vr xp->cp conversion up to 70 points. after that is 400k per cp on the ptr.

It's 400k per point on PTS. Also, mob kill xp is about 25% of live.

Unless this system was recently changed not to have a cap....
