Ok, does that mean we can still max out all three attributes Post 1.6? Or is it limited to Pre-1.6 horses/characters?
The brains at ZOS have decided to allow horses to be sharable among your characters... they are changing the skills of the horses from their attributes to your attributes as a rider... so I'm kinda hoping I can get my monies back from buying 8 horses, but I doubt it...

I would love clarification upon this as I never had much Gold so... spending 40,000 really drains the coffers, especially since I bought one not knowing about this coming change. I'd rather not have a mount and instead get one from the crown store if this is the case.

Either way, the upgrades your horses used to get are now character upgrades. Speed, Stamina, and Carry capacity can be upgraded on a player. Each of these start at 0 and can be upgraded to 60.
On live, each horse is limited to hitting level 50, but that mechanic is gone from 1.6, so you can upgrade until your speed, stamina, and capacity are all at 60.
So whatever is the highest level I have Speed Stamina and Carry to now on each of three horses will transfer to my character's riding skill? And all characters will still have the opportunity to level these to 60? Have they stated how we will level these three skills? Does our character have to eat oats/apples/wheat now...?

Here's how it works. Let's say I have two horses right now. One has 50 speed. The other has 50 carrying capacity.
I go over to the PTS server (1.6). I open the horse menu. I activate any horse I own, does not matter which one. That single horse will now have 50 speed and 50 stamina. I switch my horse to the other one, and that horse will also have 50 speed and 50 stamina.
So I'm running around in a pack horse (50 carrying capacity) that also happens to have 50 speed (really fast!). The same applies to stamina. You can now get one mount that has all three skills maxed.

So that IS how it is supposed to work?
Wth happened with mine then
I had 8 speed and 8 stamina and 0 capcity.
I have about 5 maxed out horses over different characters, the highest speed horse is 50, the highest stam horse is 20 and the highest capacity horse is 30. I was expecting the change above but gave me 8/8/0.
Am I missing something?
Did you log ALL your characters in? It appears to build this kinda stuff from you actually logging in the character. For example, my new test char did not get Champion Points until I logged in my main.
So one more question - do we still have stable slots? I have three slots and three imperial horses each working on one of the three attributes...they all get merged after 1.6 right? Do we still need all these slots we bought? Like for cash shop horses maybe?
I wonder if this means we will be refunded for buying extra stable slots. Not that they cost that much or that I need the money. But people might appreciate a small gesture of goodwill.Fruity_Ninja wrote: »So one more question - do we still have stable slots? No they are in their own menu now, you don't access through the stables. Has a list of owned and non-owned mounts, costumes etc.

No, you still have the 2 horses. Anything you've put into them to improve their abilities is what is merged. So regardless of which horse you choose to use, you'll have all of the speed of the light brown horse, and all of the capacity of the white horse.Artemiisia wrote: »so I have a white and a light brown horse

they merge into one? and if yes what color?

In clan chat someone was talking about how we should buy three versions of our Imperial Horses and feed them once of each kind of food before 1.6 to make sure we get each stat in our post 1.6 horse. Does that make sense to anybody? Are horses going cash shop only post 1.6?
You have two horses at present on your character is that what you mean?Artemiisia wrote: »so I have a white and a light brown horse

Huh? How so? The points you've put into horses on character A become character A's riding ability, and the points you've put into horses on character B become character B's riding ability. Nobody should be losing any inventory. The horses become account-wide, but the effects of the upgrades (including the basic +10 upgrade from buying a better horse) are transferred to the individual characters.AlexDougherty wrote: »I am curious as to how it will affect our carrying capacities, since it sounds like most of my characters are going to be losing 50-60 inventory spaces.

Your post may confuse readers. Well it's per character, so we probably don't have time for that, we might get past horse level 20, but we won't get to level 50.
