Subscribers should receive $5 worth of cash shop currency for every month they have subscribed for

Considering ZOS hasn't released much in the way of new content since launch, I think it's fair to say that the majority of our subscription revenue has gone into the development of future DLC. That being the case, I feel it's only fair ZOS reimburse us to a degree by offering $5 in cash shop currency for every month we've been subbed for.

ZOS has previously stated they will give subscribers 100 crowns for every month they have subbed for, which I'm sure equates to about $12, which is a meager and paltry sum, hardly representative of our financial contributions.

What do you guys think?

Yes, I feel I should be reimbursed to a higher degree. $12 is extremely insufficent!

No, I do not feel as though I need to be reimbursed. I wasn't paying $15 for future content, but to simply access the client.

Considering I will have been subbed for about 12 months when the B2P model goes live, this would leave me with $60 in cash shop currency to spend on DLC I feel either should have been included in the initial B2P client or that I have already paid for with my previous sub fees.

I'm a 31 year old man and a father of two. I have a job of course. Despite how much respect you think was due, you're comment was extremely rude. You obviously are in need of some manners. Also, I don't need money. It's the principal of the matter that offends me. It doesn't cost $15 a month per subscriber to sustain the client and servers. I work in a data hall, I would know. ZOS could get away with us paying .50 cents a month and that would be more than enough. The extra money we paid for our subscriptions was supposed to (in part) go towards the development of content updates, of which there have been only a few since launch. Now, with the B2P announcement, it seems as though we will be charged again for the content we paid to have developed. This strikes me as wrong and as such, I would like to be reimbursed to a degree, out of principle and for the practical purpose of purchasing DLC I have already effectively paid for.

@Darlantan Well, as an example, it looks as though the PVP aspect of the Justice System will now be sold as DLC in a future update, rather than included as a native part of the client, despite the fact that ZOS clearly stated that both the justice and the champion system would be included with the initial B2P release for no extra charge.

I'm convinced now that's the only reason we're even getting the justice system is so that they can have it for consoles because the people who played the other Elder Scrolls games on consoles we're going to want it.

To further illustrate my point, judging from the latest ESO Live video, much of the future DLC content has already been developed. It seems as though ZOS has intentionally withheld various new content pieces in the hopes of deriving more revenue from that by waiting until the game goes B2P and then selling them as DLC. This is a horrible business practice IMO.

@Mettaricana ZOS previously said they would give subscribers 100 crowns for every month they subscribed. So someone like myself, who has been subbed the entire time, would get $12 worth of crowns at launch.

@Darlantan Another example would be the imperial city, which has already been fully developed and the only reason it's not being included in update six is because the devs feel as though that particular update already has enough new content. If the imperial city is already finished and our subscriptions have paid for it's development, then why shouldn't it be included in the native B2P client?

That's about the figure I'm anticipating, too. So what the OP is proposing is 500 crowns per subscription month rather than the 100 we're getting, using this guess at the price point.

I'll take them, certainly. I'm in line for about 4800 crowns at the start of Tamriel Unlimited. EJ's proposal would just about double that. But how many guar mounts can I ride?

oh, man, definitely barber for me, too, and a trip to the face doctor for a couple of my toons. The few moments I let myself do face to grab my name during the initial stampede? I'd love to be able to fiddle with that again.

@Boloboffin Well, you could use the extra crowns to purchase the imperial city aspect of cyrodiil or the PVP portion of the justice system when it's released. Not mention Wrothgar and Murkmire, that is if you're not planning on maintaining your sub after the game goes B2P.

loved my DK added face paint that would look great on a vamp til i realized vampire dulls off all markings..... time to fix that and a slight nose job hopefully. sadly no class respect my sorc's face is a thing of beauty but my bad on choosing worst class in the game dps wise. and tweak my breton temps hairs and maybe head adornment.

if the add face redo... hope like hell they fix the issue where chars dont look like they do in the creator... otherwise i see a flood of rage on refunds for face redos due to them not working as intended

@ZOS_GinaBruno Hey Gina, could you or another dev offer any input on this matter? I don't mean to cause issues or come across as petty, but I feel as though I'm bringing up several good points here and would like to know why it seems as though ZOS will be charging us for content that has either already been developed and/or has been bought and paid for with our subscription fees. I realize this is a business and the company needs to make a large profit for it's investors. However, I feel as though a higher reimbursement rate of crowns to sub time is in order and would go along way towards assuaging any hurt feelings and ire on our part.

    Thanks in advance!

I guess I should have said: I do plan on maintaining at this point. But, yes, if you let a subscription lapse, the crowns could go to that.

@Mettaricana‌, we will be able to purchase DLC in the Crown Store.

    https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/
What is downloadable content (also known as DLC)?

DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited consists of game packs with optional adventuring content (zones, quests, etc.) added to the game to enhance your game play experience should you choose. It is not required.

How can I get this downloadable content?

DLC will be available for purchase in the Crown Store on an a la carte basis. DLC purchased on an a la carte basis will be available to you for as long as The Elder Scrolls Online is available. Members of ESO Plus will receive complimentary access to all DLC game packs for the duration of their membership.
