I thought that AD exported them? A lot of EP weren't thrilled about it. But sadly they retained their passports and openly play both sides.

Yes. Can't name player names or guild names for fear of the "naming and shaming" policy (or worse), but yes: When the-guild-that-shall-not-be-named was on AD, the other AD guilds gave them a lot of shister for their play style and their general attitude. The-guild-that-shall-not-be-named got bent out of shape about it and, given all the complaining about the population imbalance and the begging for people to roll EP at that time, switched to EP. That's it in a nutshell. So here we are.
Unfortunately, EP was infected with said chimp playstyle.

The best players/guilds in DC do the exact same thing... Just because you want to play a suboptimal style of play doesn't mean the actual good players don't.

This is funny because back in the day when AD would say the same thing about itself the poster was subjected to invective and ad hominem. What goes around comes around EP.

This. There are EP who are not liking the nightly takeovers. I know some people who didn't want to participate until the map returned to normal during prime time. I like maps to be taken over fairly, one keep at a time, with decent resistance.

I'd actually like to see some proof of EP nightcapping I keep hearing about. I PVP fairly late, usually to 2-3 am PST, and I don't see it. Havoc doesn't have numbers to take maps at night, our groups are usually 12-14 past 12am and dwindle from there. PR dissolves earlier: Hijinx doesn't run groups that late. Vehemence doesn't have numbers that late, Pride doesn't seem to have a late night presence either, same with Hit Squad, Vok. IR is online late, but by that point they're small and mostly farm, they don't really take runs at keeps.

So ummm, who is doing it? My answer is no one, because it's not really a thing. There was one night, when we crowned a Havoc Emp, they he and a few stayed on to mess around and have fun with the Emp bonuses, and we turned the map red. Otherwise? Not even a thing. We do 1-2 late night takeovers and suddenly its equivalent to AD style nightcaping?

    Not. Even. Close.

Try getting up earlier instead of staying up later. I know we aren't having it today but if you aim for a little earlier than maintenance, you'll catch the later half of Oceanic prime time.

Not really a thing? This pic was snapped this morning. Since the last day of the last Thorn cycle, this is what North America wakes up to more weekdays than not. Not content to simply own the map and scrolls, there will be EP groups outside of both DC gates, ganking anybody with the gumption to take anything back from them. Presumably they are doing the same to AD in the south.

You may not see it, but it is happening. The vitriol toward the EP groups doing this is real, and it's justified.

    Screenshot_20141216_093043.jpg

ETA - even the fake guild names being used to claim the DC and AD home keeps are meant as mockery by the EP doing this. Two of the tamer examples: Black Boot is currently claimed by an EP guild named "AD Bow [snip]" (but not sensored) and Rayles claimed by an EP guild named 'AoeBBQ-South-Ga".

I understand the offence at being called "the new AD', but that doesn't make it undeserved.

So after last nights capping by EP, I'm assuming the scores are wildly in EP's favour.
What I would really like to know is what the point of even logging in to PvP tomorrow is? I'm assuming there is no coming back from that score deficit and fighting a blob of people that outnumber us 5 to 1 who also have all of the buffs (all scrolls, home keeps and emperor) is not my definition of fun.

Pretty pathetic when one guild can really turn an entire PvP community against a faction and I don't attribute this hate to them being good by any means. It is the practices of this guild as it was the case when they were in AD and looks to be the case now as they are in EP. It is a shame when one group of players who wore out their welcome in AD is now bringing a stigma to EP where they now call home. Hats off to those of you in EP opposed to these practices as many of us in AD were also opposed to it when they did it on our side. It only undermines PvP as a whole for ALL of us in the end.

As it stands now, the score disparity almost entirely due to the repeated late night/early morning capping efforts by EP:

All DC and AD should move campaigns and leave EP to PvDoor, seems to be what they like doing anyway...
They want to ruin Thornblade in this way, there is a way we can do it right back.
