They are the faction that steamrolls the maps at times the other factions have very low pops; and drive the other factions to their gates and camp there, even if they've already taken the scrolls, and runs in big bat-pulse blobs pleased with themselves for every undefended keep or 4:1 battle they win.
But it's only been that way for a few weeks. Not long enough for a Hopesfire level of loathing to take hold.

I never played Hopesfire, but I don't think I'll be going back to PvP with EP any time soon, I hate that style of play. Which is a shame because there are some really nice people over there.
they imported the AD pulse monkey spammers.

Thorn is still the most balanced vet campaign though. To play on the others you are either against overwhelming one-sided numbers protecting their buffs, or are on the overwhelming side. See standings here:Well, don't expect me to come to thornblade then. I will have no part in this pathetic and disgraceful playstyle. If that means i have to wait until the CS comes out before playing TB, so be it.

And then last night they were double teamed by AD and DC and pushed back to their gates. We'll have to see how it goes from here.

Not sure what night you were talking about but during the last patch (a few days ago). They pushed emp late at night, then grabbed ALL DC keeps and both scrolls so they could hold them uncontested through the maintenance period.
That's why there was such a multi-faction smackdown on EP the last few days. They really are bringing the wrath and ill will of both other factions down on them with these tactics.
But those are the symptoms of Monkey Spam Ebola. It's a shame that EP caught the virus. I thought we had it mainly contained in AD with only a few minor outbreaks here and there.
The map must of been lieing when DC and AD had pushed EP back to the gates (only 1 scroll) in the early morning/late US tz night yesterday. Because only EP does this, amiright?
I have been absent from the vet servers, save the occasional go on hedarus.
Are the rumors I have been hearing true?? is EP now the new AD that i have loathed and hated since Hopesfire?
There have been buff servers around for long enough to prove that any faction that's prepared to organise a nightcap consistently for a week or two can kill a campaign. You can blame the faction that does so. I did too, in the beginning, but really it's irrelevant who did it, just as it is irrelevant to complain that apparently people are so averse to not being on the winning side that they permit this to happen. These are facts and it means the game design allows a relatively small group of players to thrust a server into a vicious cycle. Only ZoS can fix that.
