shame i didnt made video, where 2 NB ganker jumped on me, and i was like 10% health, then healed up, killd one, but another got me... now NBs are underpowered because 2 was needed to kill me, but one died still? ppl like you are a joke.

It's older, yeah. But it's not that old. If you got attack by 2 NBs and they didn't kill you it's because they suck, not because the class is/was weak. People often don't have the appropriate build to slug it out with another player... Or the skills for that matter. Here are some newer videos... You can skip the first one... You can say that this NB is just better than the opponents.... so what... And those 2 NB doesnt sux.
Jacques, it's people just like you that keep me coming back to play PvP.
You have been PvP for a good while and have values, morals and ethics.

Well played Sir.
I'm not sure if you have really used it but it's pretty crappy as a heal and it does meh DPS. Not to mention that you can't use your cloak while a mob is taking damage from it, so overall it's pretty useless.killedbyping wrote: »So when exactly are we going to see just about ANY buffs for NB ? The only skill they promised to buff since early access is useless Shadow Path. Yet it was nerfed instead even thou it alrdy was useless enought with such ennormous magicka cost.
They did buff it slightly.
They didn't nerf anything about it, they fixed a bug that was causing it to heal for 2-3 times as much as it was supposed to.
If you're honestly mad that they fixed an exploit like that, I can't really trust your judgment when it comes to balance in this game...
It should stun players. It's utter BS the lack of CC we get as nightblades. We only have one AoE CC and it only effects 2 targets. I don't think anyone uses agony and as @killedbyping said shadow cloak and veiled strike combo is very difficult to execute in PvP, mostly due to our very unreliable invis. Other classes have AoE roots or can stun lock. We cannot.Jacques Berge wrote: »killedbyping wrote: »So after reading patch notes i see yet another NB Nerf incoming.
Im not talking about sneak attack dmg but Ambush skill mechanics.
Teleport Strike: The tooltip for this ability now specifies that it immobilizes other player characters instead of stunning them.
Dont want to respec my skills just to see what it say on original skill, but the Ambush morph now says that it stuns mobs for 1.5 or immobolize other players for 1 second.
Why does tooltip say so ? This ability was always STUNNING players, not immobolizing them. And it was stunning them for whole 1.5 secs like mobs, not for just 1 sec.
For those who dont know the difference:
Stun - complete disable of enemy character.
Immobolize - disable enemy character movement.
Immobolize means that enemy player character will still be able to fight back, cast any skills or just Dodge Roll to run away instead of using Break Free which cost much more stamina.
Is it just a misunderstanding betwin devs and patch notes makers again like it was with resto stuff ?
It seems that ability mechanics will be reworked soon to make it actualy immobolize players instead of stun.
After this, NB's will be left with 0 stunning abilitys (expect of a combo with Shadow cloack + Surprise attack ofc which is unworthy in PVP, because it take so much time to land that even autist would be able to block that).
Great way to "buff" the class supposed to dps, stun lock and burst.
Why dont you make Crystal Shards to Jiggle enemy player characters instead of stunning them ?
Ambush never stunned players... This was always something very dumb with the tool tip. Ambush used say it stuns MONSTERS... Which can be taken as npcs

killedbyping wrote: »I dont realy understand the discussion above.
After Resto stuff nerf we coming back to the times when nobody wanted to take NBs in trials.
Reason are simple - Clasic Funneal Health build give really poor dps nowdays.
Other damaging skills simply have no use in PVE (ofc we always have use for cripple) or do very low damage or actualy doesnt exist... Just 6 skills which deal damage. Only 3 of them can actualy be used to do some dps. And this on the class supposed to be top DPS in game ? Just... wow.
NBs have only one skill with decent damage - Surprise attack, but quess what ? It is melee and scale of weapon crit,Magicka and Spell damage so its bad in any build you are going for. Only good as utility skill for reducing armor or stunning nooby opponents in PVP who not familar with block.
There are only 3 decent builds for end game content atm
1. Alot of dots... sadly NB are not DK and for some misterious reason NB have only 1 dot ability.
2. Crushing shock.
3. Snipe.
NB dont have synergy with either of this builds.
Haste can give some boost, but obviously Faster light attacks wont make your DPS as high as sorc with Surge or DK with alot of dots and Weapon damage buff on top on CS. Also increasing CS dmg leads to gimping Impale damage.
Same with Snipe. All what NB can do is have more stamina regen. Well, ofc resource management is always good but it is useless if you cant use those resources for more dps.
Dont get me wrong. Yes NB CAN do over 1k dps with a bow, but Sorc or DK can easily do more.
All of damaging ultimates are pretty much useless in terms of dps because they all melee or very close range while most of end game encounters require you to stay away and you actualy losing dps while getting close to place ulti and then back to the distance.
P.S. I still dont understand why people claim NB have hight burst. We HAD it when Sneak attack were dealing decent damage and Soul Harvest were getting sneak attack bonus.
Now what ? Ambush, Soul harvest and then what? You know that it doesnt matter how many % of damage boost you add to "0", it still remain "0".
NB simply have NO high damage skills what so ever.
Assasination skill line have mostly utility skills which doesnt really help you assasinate any1. Just 2 damaging skill in whole line. Impale only viable for finishing off low health enemys. But how are you supposed to get your enemy low enough without other damaging skills ? 1.5 cast time Ambush with very low damage obviously is not the option.
And the fact remain the same. NB still had no love from devs since early access besides some bug fixes. Only nerf after nerf after nerf. Even DK's didn't suffered that much nerf's.
You can't fault us for using light armor and staff though. I tried stamina build with mixed results.set44ub17_ESO1 wrote: »xylus289_ESO wrote: »NB is a p.o.s. class. This is my main and I'm not rerolling. I'd rather unsub, oh wait I already did....

Well that's my point. We do not have the ability to wade into a group of enemies in PvP like a DK can and we don't have the luxury of getting out of it quickly if things get rough like a sorc and we certainly don't get any nice damage shields like a templar. Best thing to do when you see a zerg coming as NB is to run and hide.Jacques Berge wrote: »eventide03b14a_ESO wrote: »It should stun players. It's utter BS the lack of CC we get as nightblades. I've never had a problem with CC usage honestly... well... in mass pvp its a issue but not one I personally deal with as I tend to keep my encounters a bit more... intimate. hahaha

It wasn't my intent to insult you, but be honest those people in the video were terrible. The DK stood there blocking your shades and didn't bother to cast a single AoE to get you out of stealth. The templar was running around in circles like he was completely confused. Oh, of course I've used it, and I agree that the ability still isn't very good in most cases.
However, that wasn't what we were discussing. The person I was quoting was insisting that the devs somehow lied about buffing the ability, which they did not. They did exactly what they said they were going to do w/ it, which is what I was pointing out.
It just wasn't enough to make the ability attractive to many people. : P

He said DW assassin, i bet he is not the regular pijama monkey blade like most "strong" ones.
In PvP bows are great for single target damage assuming they are not DKs in which case you have to catch them off guard before they cast RS. None of the stamina abilities even come close to doing the same kind of AoE damage that you can get with magicka attacks though and that is really a problem when faced with multiple enemies. Block casting in melee isn't a great strategy when you are relying on the same pool for defense and offense.
It's the same in PvE too. Basically you end up working really hard to take down groups of enemies if it's even possible at all. If an enemy can't be rooted or stunned you basically need to put out enough damage to kill them before you run out of stamina which even with focused attacks is almost impossible against Craglorn groups.
Now with a magicka build we get the benefits of siphoning attacks as a powerful AoE and can use our stamina pool for defense. Even our single target class abilities are nice especially our execute, impale. Stamina is still a resource that is stretched too thin if used for both offense and defense and our single class defensive ability blur only gives us a miss chance. Otherwise we get jack in the way of defensive abilities.
I'm not saying you can't play as a stamina build, just that it's still a lot more difficult especially against multiple enemies.

Why? because I can't play a dual wield assassin build and have a side quest,in a VR zone, not feel nearly impossible.
