Hello ,
I am new here, have been playing the game for 10 days or so. Today when i opened the launcher and downloaded the patch , i got the message to repair it , then it downloaded another 90MB, then another 100MB.. then an infinite loop to repair . At some point i got the PLAY button again and launched the game . But it was minimizing all the time and couldn't play it ,so i closed it again and the launcher prompted me to repair and so i did.. then it started downloading 5Gig , and waited for 4 hours until it finished. When it finished , i got the message to install the game....so i went to Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online EU ,only to see that the game folder was gone! I had a back up of the game in a spare hard drive and copied the files from there . It did download the patch again only this time i was able to launch the game and tho it crashed when loading my character, in Auridon after trying again i was able to log back in game.
It was frustrating to say the least .

✭✭✭✭✭Sometimes when i get 'repair' instead of the 'play' button it helps to just close the launcher and start it again. Same with 'unable to determine game version'.2 -

i re-openedthe launcher and I didn't get any error, thank you!
From all this I just don't get why my game folder was gone...I mean all the 30 something gigof the game...Only file depot was left in the folder.0 -

Indeed. The Patch and Repair is very frustrating. Extremely slow, and whenever the progress bar reaches 100% it restarts at 0%.
And to add to it: The Laucher will sit all day in the background doing nothing. Only when you want to play the download begins.
Please give us automatic / background patch and repair!0 -

✭Welcome to the notoriously buggy and unreliable game launcher. It prepares you for the bugs in the main game.
Seriously, the patching process for this game has been broken beyond belief since release, but once you are able to play, the game is fun, and a lot less buggy than back in April.

✭✭✭✭✭I agree, the greatness of the game is matched only by the feebleness of the launcher! I usually find that the unnecessary "repair" prompts and manifest errors go away a few days after each patch.Edited by Tandor on December 10, 2014 4:31PM0
