Not sugar-coat it... the DC zones are terrible. I think this is part of the contributing factor in faction unbalance.

But the level 1-50 zones are the easiest to grind through now without doing any questing and you can still get to 50 pretty quickly. For me, it's the V1-V14 grind that I dread.

That said, I have a new alt that I'd like to level, so if anyone is considering rolling DC, come hang out and we'll grind together.

agreed, 1-50 is not bad at all, I got a NB from 20-50 in 3 days (irl, not game time) with a partner and no one interfering. It's the v1-14 journey that is unacceptably slow right now

A few yellows and our red friends just rerolled blue characters for BwB. Had a lot of fun and rebalanced the campaign. It appears (at the moment) to be once again a 3 way fight.

That being said there seems to be a lot of drama and strange characters left over in BwB on the blue side which I hope we can overcome.

i have yet to roll DC because the PvE zones are horrendus. i am a PvP player at heart, but at some point im going to have to do at least some PvE, and DCs zones are the worst in the game in my opinion. rivenspire is the worst zone in the entire game. many say shadowfen is, but i think its rivenspire. its just so...... lifeless and empty. only glenumbra offers even a small amount of enjoyment, even then its limited.

however, i am aware of the huge pop imbalance DC side(one of the reasons i have a ton of respect for any DC player that toughs it out) and have constantantly considered making a DC toon. it will happen soon though. this thread has moved me a ton.

Rivenspire #1 quest line. JOIN BLUE TEAM, WE HAVE COOKIES PIE ALLIANCE POINTS!

to the void with rivenspire. it was mind numbing for me.

Grinding to VR1 is as easy (if not easier) than before. You can grind Craglorn in pairs at Spellscar and get one VR level every 1-2 hours.

Blackwater needs DC too btw. So even if you're only level 10, you can go PvP there and level up your Alliance War tree. It's a fun campaign. Takes a lot of skill to take a keep there, and it's lag-free since the population is a bit lower.

I've been to Blackwater. I was not impressed, and all I saw were keeps with almost all of their walls always down, a.k.a get a group to kill npcs=win.

when you can get into actual fights its pretty fun. almost everyone is on equal grouund, so you are not fighting someone that will simply steamroll you into oblivion

I know how to pvp, so I don't get "steamrolled into oblivion" on any campaign. Then again, I've seen you get owned by sorcs who hard-casted crystal shards 2 ft away from you. Ohh Wabba 1.0, how I miss you

Wabba 1.0... when DC had victory in their grasp, less than 2K away, and then would not log into Wabbajack, but instead flooded Bloodthorn. 2 bars of DC on Wabba, 3 bars/Locked on Bloodthorn.

That was when there were a lot of cruddy guilds from other games running DC side -- UDL, LOD, etc. They went for the easy win (2 bars of EP pop on BT, no AD presence) instead of toughing it out and coming back.

I love that people are willing to switch. But do not waste your time if it's only going to be half assed. We need real players who will stick it out with us. Not come over and get steamrolled once or twice and go back to their old faction.

This. Too many times people have said they are coming, and wont.

If you are serious, if you level, put in the time, etc. We will great you with open arms and all the crafted gear you could possibly need.

Dont be a wee-wee tease though.

With my luck, I'd switch over and DC would become the most populated faction and EP/AD would be asking for help. Its the reason I switched over from AD to EP in the first place.

It wasn't really numbers as much as having nearly all of them in one place. DC was really functional and united in planning and raiding tonight, and managed to work a few things out perfectly, like having all the guilds ready to push just as the zerg pushed back through Bleakers to Chalman, meaning it was easy to bring most the ungrouped pugs to the dethrone attempt.

The question "Is EG back?" was fielded last night, due to how many DC were doing the human caterpillar. Locked pops all around, and a faction that has "nearly all of them in one place"= zergball: ergo, it was about numbers and lots of lag for everyone.

I have no idea why people whine constantly about the lack of players in DC. DC holds Chalman 70% of the time since 1month ago. What's wrong with you all?

Been considering what faction you want to play?

Been considering a switch due to the fact EP or AD just don't do it for you? Time to start that new character in the Daggerfall Covenant.

They are, by far, the least populated faction. AD and EP both have good numbers now, but DC have been flagging of late. Join team blue, and you get all the AP you'll ever want.

Need a guild? Talk to Grunt (with an umlaut over the U) of Legion of Magnus.

We can't fix the bugs in this game. We can't fix the lag, really (aside from not stacking on one flag in one keep). We can help fix population balance issues.

You want a challenge? Be DC.

You want easy mode? Be something else.

In other words: please go onto my other faction to tag team AD because mine is always pop locked. NEED MOAR PURPLE ALLIANCE!

Yep playing the underdog is always more fun there`s never a shortage of targets . I wanted to pick DC but my Guild back in oct 20013 choose EP as the faction for our events , even tho we have some people in the other factions, all the guild events are on EP faction .

So didn`t see a reason to play a faction other than EP, because I couldn`t attend any guild events lol .

However yes we need to have people do like they did in Warhammer, we had entire guilds reroll to the underpopulated side and encourged new players to roll the low population side to make the game better balanced and more fun overall.

Rerolling isn`t really an option for my guild , at launch we had 1300 members in ESO, now 6 months later we have maybe 240 members still playing ESO . the rest went back to GW2 or whatever they were playing before , they are still in the guild just not playing ESO.

We decided we`d give the game until mid January to decide wether to keep this chapter open or close the ESO branch and move on.
