Been considering what faction you want to play?

Been considering a switch due to the fact EP or AD just don't do it for you? Time to start that new character in the Daggerfall Covenant.

They are, by far, the least populated faction. AD and EP both have good numbers now, but DC have been flagging of late. Join team blue, and you get all the AP you'll ever want.

Need a guild? Talk to Grunt (with an umlaut over the U) of Legion of Magnus.

We can't fix the bugs in this game. We can't fix the lag, really (aside from not stacking on one flag in one keep). We can help fix population balance issues.

You want a challenge? Be DC.

You want easy mode? Be something else.

My alt SiphonBlade I've been working on is taking forever.

Also, the ability to grind skills up on mobs was completely broken. I was grinding up faster in PVP with new skills than in Cold Harbor. Now, as a V14, you need at least V9 mobs to get any XP awarded. V12 preferably (which are usually group mobs in Craglorn).

It's easier for a V1 or a mid 40 to grind skills than a V14 due to Craglorn's group required nature.

Grinding to VR1 is as easy (if not easier) than before. You can grind Craglorn in pairs at Spellscar and get one VR level every 1-2 hours.

Blackwater needs DC too btw. So even if you're only level 10, you can go PvP there and level up your Alliance War tree. It's a fun campaign. Takes a lot of skill to take a keep there, and it's lag-free since the population is a bit lower.

i have yet to roll DC because the PvE zones are horrendus. i am a PvP player at heart, but at some point im going to have to do at least some PvE, and DCs zones are the worst in the game in my opinion. rivenspire is the worst zone in the entire game. many say shadowfen is, but i think its rivenspire. its just so...... lifeless and empty. only glenumbra offers even a small amount of enjoyment, even then its limited.

however, i am aware of the huge pop imbalance DC side(one of the reasons i have a ton of respect for any DC player that toughs it out) and have constantantly considered making a DC toon. it will happen soon though. this thread has moved me a ton.

DC has the best PvE quests!! Angof, Vaermina, Freaking vampires! Love love Rivenspire. Alik'r desert is great as well! Bangkorai is a lot of fun, love the final quest in that zone.

EP questing is ok, Deshaan is good, but other than that...

AD is just Bosmer Online.

Blackwater needs DC too btw. So even if you're only level 10, you can go PvP there and level up your Alliance War tree. It's a fun campaign. Takes a lot of skill to take a keep there, and it's lag-free since the population is a bit lower.

I've been to Blackwater. I was not impressed, and all I saw were keeps with almost all of their walls always down, a.k.a get a group to kill npcs=win.

DC had my favorite pve zones. Especially Rivenspire. I hesitated while choosing a faction for my DK

Is grinding really a bad idea ( post 1.5 ) for power-levelling an alt? The only things holding me back is time. Leveling a new alt and all the [snip] that comes with it is very time consuming.

I'd love to get DC alt up to a proper fighting level.

It's pretty bad right now, spellscar in crag is probably the best at about 650k an hour but it's still pretty slow, compared to how quickly you used to be able to grind.

Not sugar-coat it... the DC zones are terrible. I think this is part of the contributing factor in faction unbalance.

But the level 1-50 zones are the easiest to grind through now without doing any questing and you can still get to 50 pretty quickly. For me, it's the V1-V14 grind that I dread.

That said, I have a new alt that I'd like to level, so if anyone is considering rolling DC, come hang out and we'll grind together.

But the level 1-50 zones are the easiest to grind through now without doing any questing and you can still get to 50 pretty quickly. For me, it's the V1-V14 grind that I dread.

Agreed on the veteran rank dread. I'll also add that I will make an alt to level with people if they switch.

If you're DC, you can AOE grind easily from VR1-VR6 by going to the VR3 area(greenshade) and killing zombies to the west of CIty of Ash. It's about 500k xp/hr solo, after that then spellscar in Crag.

Feel free to pst me in-game if you need help finding the spot.
