Error 303 during installation

Hi, I figured it would be a good call to reinstall the game since it keep pushing me for a repair every patch or so.

So I downloaded the game from the site and started reinstalling, but I keep getting an "error 303 - patcherror_unzipfail" "Failed to open patch, please click repair for your game. If the issue persists please contact customer support" during the installation and the launcher ask me (the user) to continue with a repair and the I get a internal error note.
"ABORT: Invalid Memory Size (0) (..\..\..\..\shared\unzipper.c/823)

How should i proceed Zenimax?
I dont know where my DVD disk are so am I out of luck and should cancel my sub?

I uninstalled ESO completely
Deleted all files from hard drive including ESO user dir in My Documents
Removed all registry keys
Disabled Anti-Virus completely
Downloaded official installer from website
Started the install
After downloading the first bunch of files it gave me a 303 error (Patch Unzip Fail)
And now this:

Internal error...

ABORT: Invalid Memory Size (0)
(..\..\..\..\shared\unzipper.c/823)

OK

And it wipes out the patchdata.depot with the partial files and i have to start all over again.

I've been trying all sorts of things all morning..... Still no succes and now im stuck on the 303 unzip fail thing.

Of all the games I have played this is the most expensive one and the most bugged one.... thats not right and makes me doubt if i should keep playing it.

Try now guys. Now it wants to download 27Gigs instead of 6Gigs, I guess they changed something on the server (EU).

Waiting for the download to finish...

UPDATE: I think I understand now what happened. Previously it was trying to download patch version 1to41 which is obviously screwed because it is only 6 gigs. They reverted the server side to version 1to40 and probably after the install it will patch up 1to40 to 41. (I guess...)

I have exactly the same issue - I have tried just about everything I know including two complete fresh installs - same error messages AGAIN. It is getting ridiculous - the game was pretty stable, as was the launcher, until update 4. Since then I have crashed out loads, especially after update 5, and now I can't get on AT ALL as of this morning.

Have written to Zennimax support. I'm not holding my breath though, as now they have a message posted to say that there's some problem with the EU server....... Thankfully this is a really cheap game though, and I haven't spent a small fortune on it.......!!!

FRUSTRATED.

Same problem here...and repairing the client fails after 0.5 seconds due to some unzipp fail error...Sunday is a bad day for such a problem^^

Now I managed to reinstall the whole game and I'm back to square one: Error 209 PatchManifestError_VersionFail.

I've done the same thing as you and have the exact same problem. The only good thing here is that this is a common problem so it's not related to anyones computer per se.

The only thing that has changed since this morning is the "Repair" is now downloading 27gigs instead of just 6gigs. Hope this is the fix for this issue.

Has anyone got it to work after the 27gig repair?

After doing this again it now downloads a 27 Gb installation and after its done I now get instead of error 303 a:
"Error 302 - PatchError_CorruptDest"
"Destination file was corrupted, please click repair for your game. If the issue persists please contact customer support"

The when I try to click repair instead its the INSTALL button in the launcher and when I click that I get:
"Error 104 - DownloadError_NotEnoughSpace"
"Not enough disk space, please clear up 60 GB and try again"

Why on Earth should I need another 60GB free space up on top of the allready allmost 30 GB ESO installation.

I dont know what to say about this Zenimax, I'm guessing your not so happy about your performance either so I will leave it at that.

Hi, this article didnt help, since after the patcher stops and gives me the Error 302 and I look into the
"the elder scrolls Online EU" folder there is only the folder "depot" there.
Clearly the install didnt "complete".

Its and SSD and it was running ok with ESO before I unistalled ESO this morning in an attempt to get rid of all the repairs that comes with each and everyone of these patches.
Also other programs runs fine on the drive.
I have redone the installation a couple of times now and it stops with same thing.
EDIT: also tried installing on another harddrive and same thing.

Am I the only one getting this error 302 during the installation?

What do you think I should do?

At 0% it starts downloading 27 Gb data
At 22% it has finished downloading the first 27 Gb and starts applying patch of 30Gb
At 33% it gets corrupted and stops. See pictures.

The install folder only contains folders
"Launcher"
"The Elder Scrolls Online EU"
"Uninstall"
Total amount of data 29.9Gb

The Elder Scrolls Online EU folder only contains folder "depot".

The error 104 is also very strange since i have more then 60 Gb free space on the drive (tried it with more then one drive and getting the same 104).

I'm running windows 7 with the latest OS updates.
I havent modified the system since I last installed the game in april.
I have disabled antivirus during install.
The launcher takes up around 100 000k of my 16 Gb RAM during install.

I tried this just now again for the 8th time and same thing.
Could you please advice Zenimax on what I should do.

Invalid Memory Size and keep downloading 5GB...
There are a lot of us with this issue.

Any information on the 303 error at all? I am trying to get a fresh install working and suffering the same thing, it gets a bunch done (2x%) then throws a 303 error at me, if I try to repair I get the pop-up error message as mentioned above.

I've just switched to the NA server, instead of the EU server. It is now downloading 27GB...

Hey there folks,

If it is requesting large download, please give these steps a shot to run a repair instead of a reinstallation. These steps will allow you to cancel the installation and run the repair function, which will only download files that are missing or corrupt.

If the "Play" button reads "Install":

Click the install button, and start downloading
Once the download beings, shutdown the launcher
Restart the launcher
Expand the Game Options menu (Cog wheel located above the News Feed)
It should say Updating…., under that it should say Cancel. Click Cancel
The expanded tab should now change to include "Repair". Click repair, and wait for it to finish.

If "Play" button reads "Pause" during the download process:

Expand the Game Options menu (Cog wheel located above the News Feed)
If the tab says "Installing…", restart the launcher
When the tab says "Updating….", Click Cancel
The expanded tab should now change to include "Repair". Click repair, and wait for it to finish

The repair process will go through a loop of verify -> download -> verify until all the files are repaired. The progress bar will therefore go from 0 to 100 multiple times before it finishes. It is possible that the system will need to download large files.

Let us know if this helps!

EDIT: Cleaned up some formatting so all numbered steps in the process were followed by something to do.

what with us who doesnt even have game downloaded? i got downloading 5gb, but logical it will be that is download 27 gb not 5 gb. and always get error 303

Could you please provide a screenshot of the error message that you are running into?
