Alchemist Writ Quest Broken

One of the objectives of the new Alchemist Writ quest is to collect a certain number of a specific type of plant. My writ required me to collect 3 Nirnroot. The writ quest never updates to recognize Nirnroot plants regardless if I harvest them from the ground, withdraw them from my bank or split a stack of existing Nirnroot plants I already had in my inventory. I (and others) cannot complete the quest because this objective never updates.

Yep, I had the 3 Corn Flower one as well today. I did a /bug about it. I tried all sorts of things like withdrawing from the bank, depositing, withdrawing again, splitting stacks, even harvesting it fresh!
Am a whimsical Generation Jones gamer. Online RPGs hooked me since '94 and no sign of stopping soon...0 -

That's an excellent idea! Let me expand on that idea by wanting to play in that game world Utopia where issues reported on that test server are actually fixed. Now that would be an awesome game to play.

✭I tried abandoning and taking a new writ, and got exactly the same one again :disagree: . Apparently the game REALLY wants me to find Nirnroot!Guildmaster of the UESP Guild on the North American PC/Mac Server 2350+ CP & also found on the European PC/Mac Server 1700+ CP

✭✭This hilarious, since I submitted a /bug report on this during the first few days that update 5 was on the PTS. ZOS, if you're going to keep ignoring the bug reports we put in, people are going to stop going to the PTS to help you out. I know I am.
This is precisely why I stopped using the PTS server after I finished the pre-release beta testing.As it happens, at the time I had a stack of 100 Nirnroot in my inventory, and even when I gathered them from the "special" location indicated, the quest still wouldn't update.
What "Special" Location? I had already crafted potions in my inventory when I picked up the quest that immediately got counted but after spending three hours farming Nirnroot, not one of them counted towards the 3 required.

Woolenthreads✭✭✭✭Ahhh dammit. OK so Alchemy Writs might be bugged *gloomily*. I was going to try some of those to level up the last two levels rather than attempting more Enchanting Writs, which might not be bugged, but which may require finding specific runes on nodes which randomly choose from three classes of multiple choices.
#edit: I haven't been exploding the reward packages either
. It's easier to store the reward package when your character is lacking room

You should abandon or pick up the Alchemist writ each day as they sometimes will request water instead of plants. When you gather water from lakes, rivers or containers, the writ is updated. Only when you harvest plants does the writ bug out on people.

I had the exact same problem (but on the regular NA server, not PTS). No amount of Nirnroot was recognized as fulfilling the 3 needed. From my bank: I tried a stack of 100. Nope. I tried excactly 3. Nope. I then went hand harvested: obtained exactly 3. Nope.
I finally abandoned the quest and haven't tried to re-acquire an alchemy daily. I /bug the problem for all the good it will do.0
