Haderus (NA) No Whining

The Haderus EP group is most certainly not a zerg. We spread out and fight individually and then come back together and support each other as a unit when the orders are given. Usually this is either because a blob of AD is pushing in to our resource/flag - or because it has been decided that we sufficiently killed enough of them in a short enough time that we can push out and wipe them before their reinforcements arrive. We usually have less than one full raid and normally those numbers are spread out each with different tasks. Every single member of our group is often given very specific tasks to carry out, often times by themselves or with a single partner.

If you see us 'ball up' or get tightly together and push -often times it is in actuality a bluff to make you -THINK- there are more of us than there really are. What you perceive as a zerg is frequently a mere ten people who are trying to bluff you into turning and running or hesitating for long enough to be killed off so as to even the playing field and put our group on more even footing to successfully accomplish whichever goal has been selected. We are a tight unit and we do not enjoy when our party members die, so we often do what we can to ensure that casualties are at a minimum.

While Telel does find the pacters tendency to sit in one spot for hours and farm lemmings to be most unmarvelous they can confirm that the ones doing so do not quite fall into the category of 'zergball'.

Though sometimes it comes close suchas when they launch a flank rush to push our siege line away from a tower, or when they move in to try and overhwhelm a flag node before Telel can snipe them down they do tend to break apart into sub groups that tackle multiple targets at once.

In many ways they fight the same way us Dominionites fight when we manage to put together a half way competent force. ALbeit one that's far more effective as a static obstacle and has shown remarkable flaws in taking objectives.

Perhaps that is why this humble and terrible player of games prefers to wait until they're sieging before sneaking in and picking them off.

    Character: Telel
    Class: Night Blade-Werewolf-viking-ninja-catgirl-mallet wielder
Past times: Refusing to go full magika spec, hitting things with a big hammer, sniping, and speaking in khajiit
Also: Gelel the Derp Knight, Altsel the streaker, and Filafel the temp temp.

Khajiit has a twitch stream! https://twitch.tv/telel_khajiit feel free to come see how truly unskilled Telel is.

I have been an AD player on Haderus for about 3 months. Hours have been spent at the infamous KC mill etc. The native EP group is just as Blackthorn51 describes above.

The thing I find remarkable (and a bit sad) is that the EP guys come back day after day and do their thing even though they know that any success will be short-lived since my fellow AD believe that every single resource and keep should be yellow all of the time.

I have a great deal of respect for the EP on Haderus. I won't go north of BRK anymore. Blackthorn51, if you guys want to meet in the middle somewhere and duke it out, I'll be there. Otherwise I'll just wander over to Thorn to find a semi-level playing field.

I sincerely hope populations level out a bit more. If people want another 30 day camp as an alternative to Thornlag well there's AS, got the same rewards. No excuse to keep sitting in TB all the time. CR and Had should be safety valves and BWB should be for the kiddies. If there's still those hardcore groups that want buffs for their trials and arenas, they have to make a hard choice to just play as is or allocate their time to pvp. Same with delvers and shard hunters. Either join the fray or go along your merry business.

Me I'll stay on Had because it's where I've been and I like challenging myself to see how high I can be on the leaderboard with my oddball build. I'm not a stealthy sniping machine that can strike fear into the hearts of an entire raid of enemies, but I can dish it out all the same.

I can assure you many laughs were had. I only recent realized I could do it. I am a fairly new vamp, and for some reason I assumed I wouldn't be able to in Cyrodiil. I was very pleased to see that I could, and may have gotten a bit blood-crazed. I would say that I'll try to control myself in the future, but the thirst is strong.

I'm still waiting to see this "10 x" your number of AD. At most it is 1.5-2 times your number when we take keeps. The number of AD never jumps to 2 bars unless you guys stealth cap a home keep or scroll. Your numbers have been steadily growing day by day while the number of active AD continues to dwindle

Man.... it seems like you're in so many places at once that you might as well count as 10x our numbers.

And unfortunately for the past week it's been jumping up to two bars relatively easily, if we do something as little as take Kingscrest or Farragut the AD pop jumps up to two bars. We don't have to touch scrolls anymore to draw people in.

I really miss the days when it was just our small group against Tyn's group with you randomly porting around nuking people on siege weapons... /sigh

As much as you all hate Ezareth, bla bla bla, at least he PvPs on Haderus, I know he sometimes switches between Had an Thorn, but he's still been a regular on Haderus for almost 2 if not 3 months now. It always brings a smile to my face when I see a regular become Emperor.

Noow onto Pixy.... I've been PvP-ing on Haderus longer than most of you, I homed it the day we got the new PvP campaigns, and I can tell you, up until we got a few extra EP over here, he was never on this campaign, he came to defend his buff server once or twice, then boom, he was gone... When someone like that decides to step in front of all the regular AD players that annoys me. An emperor should be someone dedicated to their campaign, not the person who could batswarm/impulse down the most people and hoard the most points within a few days.

Last night we had this weird standoff going at KC. EP took the mill as usual and proceeded to siege. At the point I arrived the outer wall was down and there was combat inside the keep (inner wall was never breached). So they were taken down, came back, holed up in the corner tower a bit. After I died and returned (from Arrius, yay), I found we were exchanging siege weapon attacks from the adjacent sides of the breach. After they were taken down again (initial EP group was just 3-4 people), we fixed the wall a bit. They proceeded to siege from the mill again and one of our guys would go jump them and we would repair the wall a bit and this repeated for awhile. At this point they just had one siege weapon, so this process quickly got boring. Then I think they got reinforcements and we got tired of fixing the wall over and over again so we left the keep and started our assault. I think we had around 12 to their 8 or so, definite advantage to our side. We traded siege and arrow fire for a while. After that was getting us nowhere people on both sides got bolder about approaching the other side. We didn't have too many deaths but eventually Galalin was making regular forays to the center of our group and Vortexman was around too, as well as another DK and some sorcs that made it interesting at least. We at least had the keep to respawn at by then, but I think I saw they briefly had a FC on the tower. I don't know what happened to it but it was down soon after even though it was near full health. Ultimately we took the mill, overall it took an hour or so to complete.

I think people are still working out the tactics, but last night numbers were low. Lots of people still downloading and installing the update, I guess.

B-but I really do miss the earlier Haderus with small fights the entire day, now, EP leaves towards the end of the day because they get steam rolled, or at least I think that's why.. And I can't blame them. All these PvErs and Thornblade AD lackies need to go die and lag out and crash. Haderus isn't for emp farming, tis for me and Vortex to shield bash eachother to death... nekkid. B)

And occasionally drunk... at least for me.

EDIT: I also have to confess to letting EP DKs jumping into our keeps... Theres moments when watching the PuGs gets boring and I just want them all dead.

I admire the tenacity of the EP on Haderus, and as a general rule, I don't attack other faction's closest 3 home keep either.
BUT, do understand, Haderus is an AD buff server, just as Azura's is for EP and Chillrend is for DC. So yes, AD players will ensure that the campaign stays all yellow so they can get their buffs, and the EP players on Haderus play there knowing this. If you decide to play on any side of a buff server, you have to know there won't be a level playing field.
Hopefully with the new patch, the buff server thing will start to go away.

;_; I'm missing everything. STILL downloading the patch it had like a 4 gig chunk yesterday then when I came home from work a 14 gig chunk then when I woke up this morning it had another 5 gig chunk wtf?? I have work tonight again and I'll be lucky if it finishes by the time I get back home. AT&T U-verse can blow a big one...

How is Werewolf with stem builds now?

The extra regen is nice, but as with most things I do, I went back to werewolf simply for the fun of it. For example, why do I use Dragon leap when it's a terrible ultimate that can easily be dodged? CuzZ I can flllyyy ***!! B)

I left my launcher open and went to work, when I came back at 2pm-ish it was at 69% *Stiffles a giggle* and I went to sleep, woke up at 5am the next morning and it was done. I estimate it finished around 6-7pm the night before, but yeah, it's a gigantic patch for some small changes here and there.

Do you play R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" when you do that? This is making me think of this Swedish insurance ad featuring skydiving pets :open_mouth:

I kind of like Pixy because he plays on Haderus, same with Ezareth.

Noow onto Pixy.... I've been PvP-ing on Haderus longer than most of you, I homed it the day we got the new PvP campaigns, and I can tell you, up until we got a few extra EP over here, he was never on this campaign, he came to defend his buff server once or twice, then boom, he was gone

Our guild has defended Haderus whenever it was under attack since the day we originally flipped it. I think what you mean is "I never camped your gates and your 3 home keeps every single day, and only attacked you if you took our Emp/Home keeps." If camping people at their few home keeps and starter gates are what you use to determine if someone is a legitimate emp, that's pretty funny.

Nah nobody hates any AD out there. Just hate the situation buffs servers put us both in. There are a lot of cool AD out there. A lot of them have whispered me and we have had some good conversations. I have yet to get any troll whispers so that says a lot of the other side. Everyone loves the natives, it's the people who don't care about the actual server but show up to ruin it for "mah buffs" that people don't like. But that is not an AD thing, thats more of a global problem across all 3 alliances.

Tons of cool AD on haderus.

:disappointed: I have to go to work now. It's got 1.1 gigs left to go then after that it has to apply the data and all. With my luck it'll finish halfway through my shift. Take a keep for me yas.
