Well-played, my good man. Well-played.I was offended while riding around Craglorn, I'd come across the same NPC and just about every time I rode by, she would say "Wait, don't kill me!" I play a Dark Elf, so I get the subtitle racist undertone they are implying
As Ahkari the Khajiiti merchant who was roaming the holds of Skyrim admitted, the locals saw the cat-people as skooma-addled kleptomaniacs. That stereotype, on top of being one of the backward, savage "beast races", contributed to their ban from trading inside major cities.Woolenthreads wrote: »Don't worry, you both missed the Khajiiti Traders not being allowed in the cities (Whiterun, at least), in Skyrim.
You started playing in a closed beta test weekend and this is news to you?WhiskeyRiver.AZub17_ESO wrote: »Such a surprise to me. I get into Auridon, and they keep talking about racism.Calling people racists, etc. Feels weird to me in a game.Kinda uncomfortable.Just me,maybe,..

I have difficulty IRL, imagining all Khajiit players to be wearing furry ears, or a buttplug tail whilst roleplaying..Thechemicals wrote: »Honestly, as a Redguard(oh irony)....i cant stand Khajiit. The entire culture and appearance and how they live makes me sick. I despise how they talk in 3rd person as well.....its like they are so doped up on skooma they think they arent in their own bodies. All that fur too....makes me not even want to fathom the intimacy these creatures have when they propagate. Gross.
While I don't dress as a Khajiit, I do the Caramell Dansen during loading screens!I have difficulty IRL, imagining all Khajiit players to be wearing furry ears, or a buttplug tail whilst roleplaying..Thechemicals wrote: »Honestly, as a Redguard(oh irony)....i cant stand Khajiit. If anything, I'm more often disappointed when an NPC (I haven't done much roleplay) *doesn't* respond to my character's race/gender when clearly the plot and character development would warrant it.It's apart of TES lore. I in no way "think" this way IRL. It's just a game. I get "racist" comments directed @ me by players who are roleplaying, but all in fun (they break character and we laugh about it).
Not new to TES at all.I've been into the games since 2004. :}I can see how ppl new to TES universe (or not a frequent visitor) might think that racism is a wierd thing to have in a game. But it is just one of the many ways to make the world more believable. If everyone just got along, and no one had any prejudice against the other races, then there would be nothing to fight for or against

Have you ever played an Elder Scrolls title prior to eso, sir?

I don't understand the comment you are making; for example are you seeing racism from players in chat? Or are you seeing (more likely) references to the racism among some Altmer towards Bosmer and Khajiit? There are a number of references and at least one quest related to the later; it's part of the story in ESO and part of the broader story in the ES franchise.
