Would you pay money for a Vanity Pet?

  • thatkidjanzee
    Yes.
    i will pay if:

The Pet can fight with you, and also you can fly with it or it has skill of teleportation etc.

I miss the pets I got in wow after doing some long quests. Like Withers.

Pets should be rare and some hard to get, not impossible solo, but hard. Right now I don't see people with stuff and think wow how'd you get that, then go out and try.

Hell, I got the Imperial edition so I could wear the armor, I liked the way it looked, but now it's worthless because I only wear uncraftable dropped sets that can't be morphed into my style.

Wouldn't want one even if you paid me.

Really, if they were paying me I would use one.
Otherwise it goes into storage, like my Ice Wraith pet, My Scuttler Pet, and my Monkey Pet.

    Yes, really.

I'm loyal because I think the game's great and I love it.

I love my seducer costume and my Mannimarco costume. Each to their own.

You missed my point slightly. I too am loyal, and didn't even know about the reward until after everyone was griping about it being late. I don't use pets they are not my thing, I just like playing the game. I don't have anything against the Vanity pets btw, just not my cup of tea.

But if they were paying people to play with a pet out I would do it, free money, I might be loyal but free money is free money.

I have no interest in vanity pets, whether paid for or free.

That would change if there was player housing with the ability to place the pet in the house EQ2-style. Currently, however, a vanity pet is just a waste of an inventory slot.

As long as it didn't occupy inventory space.

I agree with most of what AlienDiplomat and JesseColt said these things are fine as long as they have no in game effect and I think there should be more. If you think about games like LoL or Path of Exile they fund their entire game through the sale of skins, pets, ward skins, dances and other cosmetic stuff that is cool but has no effect on the game. More money for the game will hopefully result in a better game in the long run something we all want.

Other useful cash shop items could include:
    Hairdresser (change hairstyle)
Beautician (minor changes to appeance keep it sensible obviously can't change race or height)
Tatoo Parlour (remove, add or change tatoos)
    Horse Armour (cosmetic only)
    Horse makeover (cosmetic only)

Pay money to add to the inventory problems in this game? You may as well ask if we would pay money for more space, because that is the next logical progression, among many.

    Please stop.

I'm not paying extra when I pay a monthly sub.
I would much rather have it as a reward for something like completed a timed trial in X time.

Could you elaborate on that? Talking in zone, say, or just guild?

I would pay for vanity pets IF you could actually interact with them AND there was a wide variety of reasonably cool and decent pets to choose from.

No, why pay money to use up precious bank space ?
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.
