Alan *** actually wrote a protocol for TCP over passenger pigeon. It was tried and worked very well. A bit slow perhaps but ... robust.
It doesn't take a $2,000 rig to run this game. I run this game just fine on a rig that I built 7 years ago. Yes, this game has some issues, but I'd wager that a lot of players who are getting bad performance probably have 200 things running in the background or have other programs open at the same time and still trying to play.
I don't care if you have a 16-core processor, this game isn't coded to run on more than 1 or 2. Also, having a $1,000 video card doesn't mean much either because, again, the bottleneck is at the CPU.

Are these patches some kinda "game will be only as latency free as the weakest computer" methodology?

I'm really curious about what all the crashes are about. I have yet to experience any. The only time I've been kicked from game is from the AFK timer.
Not saying this is a non-issue, just wondering why I haven't experienced something many others have? Anyone know where the server are located fro NA?

Because you don't PvP on the EU mega server. Mystery solved

Or the NA mega server
Ignorance is said to be bliss, but really it's just stupid.demonlkojipub19_ESO wrote: »Your good computer is actually a bad computer when faced with this games coding.

I have an awesome computer, but $200 internet (700+ms latency FTW)...and my game runs fine. Maybe you just need to spend more $$$ on internet.
