As the title suggests with the current way of things I strongly believe this is the only way.
ESO is still a buggy beta and although it's been out for a little short of half a year it's hilarious that it is still in a poor state.
Why should we pay monthly for a game that's not even 100% done and polished on top of the initial price we had to pay with no additional rewards or a thank you from Zeni for sticking around through what has been a very chaotic and turbulent time? Final Fantasy XIV relaunched after the original was a colossal flop but their relaunch was actually successful and still has many people playing. I hope Zeni takes notes and does the same thing, call it a fresh start if you will but those who have stuck around should get like an additional title or something when it goes back up.
As we are paying customers I feel we should be getting a bit more for what we're paying for each month. I love this game as much as the next guy and I thank Zeni for all their hard work but a bit of downtime would fix alot of problems.

✭Stop being silly. Game is not nearly as bugged now as it used to be. They have also made a lot of improvements to game balance. Its not perfect but it never will be.
I play a dps build and trust me things are a LOT better now than it used to be.27 -

This o so much this. It is what I have done (1 day left i think) . Its sad to say to guildies that I'm off but can keep up with them in TS once in a while.
Off to play other games and agitate here with the rest in the hope (faint) that Z will magically address the concerns
Also booked a flight on Porcine Airways for around the same time. This is because if Z fix this then Pigs will be flying and I want a front seat3 -

Currently VR3 and I only came across of two buggy quests. That`s quite polished. FF XIV had the most stupid design decissions ever made. OR the System for XP distribiution. I played with a friend 100% of the time and we killed 100% the same mobs and Quests. He ended up beeing 5 lvls above me.

✭From what I hear, this game is no where near as bad as games who've had to utilize such a tactic in the past (only one I know of is FFXIV)
The major problem is spoiled gamers that think everything should be perfectly polished and prim and pretty so they can play with it on day 1 This ain't the perfect world we all wish it were..
I get it, you've been spoiled by older games that have ironed their wrinkles out, it's okay, it happens to all of us.
We forget that outstanding games have to start somewhere, all we see is the finished products this game isn't as bug free as, as smoothly running as. And we forget that this game is in it's infancy.
Game companies don't have pow-wows and put their heads together to make sure their competitors come out with products just as bug free and silky as their multi year old product. That's never going to happen.
Buckle down, embrace the suck and drive on. It's going to get better.
If not, cut sling load and come back in a few months to check on how the game progressed. Then bask in it's awesomeness while lamenting the fact you took the easy road.
Nothing good ever came without a price, suffering through this game's stumbles is our price of admission to the field of epicness that lies ahead.

The state of the game itself was amazing - the servers would drop here and there and there would be maintainence but people couldnt wait to log on. There was around 5 million subscribers at the time. The same time that ESO has 700k

But I'm just a paying customer who feels that I'm getting more than enough for what I'm paying for each month. I love this game as much as the next guy and I thank Zeni for all their hard work and know that a bit of downtime wouldn't fix any problem faster, because that's not how software development works.

✭As silly as it sounds, it wouldn't actually be the first time something like this had happened. It has happened to more than one MMO and they came back a lot better.
That said, this won't happen to ESO.
That's a joke, you're wrong, flat out wrong. WoW had server issues but wasn't even CLOSE to being in a bad state and not even close to the state ESO is in.
Blizzard is not the kind of company to say "oh you can't log in at all? Oh well, I guess you'll have to wait until next week when we restart the server, oh that'll be £8.99 please".

This is an amazing game and runs pretty damn smooth if you compare it to other games in present and past. Some of us are spoiled with the option to complain so easily. I must like it if I choose to keep paying sub...9 -

The list of new bugs entered into every new patch that literally break the game for a group of players has now become so many, I don't even know which one to throw at you first. And no, it's not this bad in other games and no, "it's hard making MMOs" is not an acceptable excuse for either failing to have a decent QA department and/or failing/refusing to listen to them.
There have been class or game breaking bugs that many of us have talked about and reported on the test server before they push out the patch and when it still makes it into live we then get on the forums "oh we've just discovered this bug, sorry for any issues caused".
Broken Nightblade stealth that required a patch a week later to fix and bows totally de-sync'ing peoples health and making PVP a nightmare to play are just two of those issues.
Fact is, I'm just going to say it, players like you with "thank you so much ZOS" and "they're doing the best they can, aren't you champ" like they are some sort of plucky kid on the X Factor rather than what they really are, a company that KNOWS it can get away with pushing out junk with servers that can't take the load in PVP because we'll keep giving them cash, and then you pat them on the back... are the reason modern games have gotten into such a mess.

And by amazing you mean, 15 FPS in PVP on fast modern hardware and 4 crashes a night for entire warbands along with entire server restarts and roll backs?

Every new MMO has someone saying Final Fantasy XIV releaunched and look at it now, we should do the same.
Final Fantasy XIV wasn't buggy, it was unplayable, the same can't be said for this game. Ok occassionally parts are unplayable, but not the entire game.
It's a totally different situation.
And as for saying we should get a refund, ZOS has sunk funds into this game, add a refund and you are looking at a serious loss, maybe enough to close the company. If they did remake and relaunch the game (which I doubt), it would have to be with the idea that exist purchases get a free copy of the new game.People believe what they either want to be true or what they are afraid is true!

Bitter much? What are you complaining about, anyway? Look around you: there are piles of new games on Steam and elsewhere, where lots of people throw money at developers and their products in alpha state, i.e. software that's not even feature-complete, just to gain "early access". Seems there's already a viable market for this. You want to tell all those people they are stupid?
Btw, what you're complaining about is hardly a new phenomenon: ten years ago a game called Sacred was released, and it was so buggy that the devs at one point had put out beta patches to the general public in order to verify that specific issues had been fixed. You needed to reinstall the game from scratch every time the "official" patches were released afterwards, but guess what? People sucked up those beta patches anyway. Seems gamers as a whole haven't gotten any wiser in a decade, have they?
You want high quality, bug-free software? Get out of your comfy chair, go get a degree in CS, and start developing games yourself. Try to get a title out of the door without starving in-between. Then you can talk.

sean.plackerb14_ESO✭✭✭✭Sorry you are having such serious problems with it. Like others have said though no one is forcing you to keep your sub. Personally I'm still enjoying the game a lot. Only major issue I have right now is the server crashes in Cyrodiil during really large battles. Those really annoy me, esp since a scroll usually winds up in a different spot when we come back. Other than that though I really have no issues, at least not any MAJOR ones.
