Should the disco ball be removed from Inner Light?

Because the glowing aura from Inner Light doesn't make you identifiable? lol

No they don't have any right to see that you can detect them. Why ? Because I say so.An equally valid reason as you saying that you should. Learn to play and stop asking for even easier ganking .

If I see a mage/whatever with it on I tend to avoid them. If it had no animation.. just be stupid.

    Fun fact:
    You cannot see that ball!
    Stop inventing stuff...

Only the caster himself can see it!
It is invisible for everyone else exept people who are grouped with him.

No. I see other peoples Inner Light all the time which clues me into how many people are smart in pvp and how many are unprepared.

Im sure that's what you think but you are simply mistaken. What you are seeing are party members using it or a non party member or enemy PC who just activated it nearby. While in Cyrodiil the majority of the players use magelight. When you do not see 48 glowy balls orbiting around you next time you're in pvp you will know you were wrong.
Again it has been proven the ball rarely shows up in pve or pvp. changing phase, zones and even casting interruptions can affect it visually. Try this, find a cliff and jump off it.. no really. As you land and go into a roll hit your magelight ..and tada! All of the benefit with none of the stupidity.

Hey everyone! We've been seeing all the feedback regarding Inner Light, and want you to know that you will see a change with this once Update 4 goes live. The particle FX and light will be scaled down in both size and intensity so it will be a bit softer and less distracting overall.

    I don't see a difference

There hasn't been a difference. INNER light for some reason still has a huge, radiantly glowing ball constantly orbiting you..

It is made considerably smallerand less bright in 1.5 although it was not removed. You can see the change on the PTS.

Yeah, as an NB, if I don't see this ball, I don't know that the user can see me. Strategically, its crucial for me to know that an opponent will see through my stealth within 12 meters.

I could see it being less overwhelmingly bright, or perhaps not orbiting, though it does need to be distinguishable from other glowing balls of light

Course, if they're using a detect pot, I can't see that at all, but at least pots only last 10 secs and have a cooldown. Anyway, its fine, leave it alone.

I could have sworn that detect potions actually made it easier for you to be detected, rather than making it easier for you to detect stealthed players.

Nope, definitely not. Though with all the negative potion affects, I can understand why you might have thought that.

This is what we want. Not less light, but no light. We want the body effect, but not the disco ball.

I only have it on, when I need it on. It looks silly when all the mages have the thing revolving around themselves, standing in Craglorn (or wherever). They would only replace it with another animation everyone hates. Yup, I'm just a stick and skirt healer, with a disco ball. :-)

It's annoying and not even visually appealing. It would be a lot better if it followed you or moved around in a random pattern instead of just orbiting you. Because of all the visually stunning things in this game I know that they could do better. This approach was just lazy IMO.

Do you understand what that eye icon is when you are stealthed? If it starts to open, you are getting close to being detected. If it's open all the way, they can see you. No it's not critical, you just don't don't understand how it works. People can use the ability and be in stealth at the same time which completely negates being able to "see the orb" and thus really not that crucial.

I hate that it orbits me. It would be better if it followed you, or moved in a random pattern or best option, just remove it.

Oh dear Divines, YES, get rid of that stupid thing!!!! I've almost made posts about this myself! I mean, it makes sense when you first pick up the Mage Light Skill. But if you choose the INNER Light morph there is ZERO reason for the silly ball to still be orbiting about you. I LOVE how the animation changes to make your eyes glow and the cool misty effect at your hands. That is ALL Inner Light should show! 'Cause, ya know....it's INNER Light now! Sheesh!

Again, how will PvP players know it's running? They need to be able to tell.

That may be true but no one has answered that question. You need to be able to see if some people in a group or someone by themselves is running ML, especially if you are a sneaky guy and that person might be prey.
