It looks silly IMO. For those that go with the crit option and get glowing eyes, that should remove the orb. For those that want the orb, leave it for the other option. Simple.

I like the orb, and it is vital info in pvp to know that simply walking near someone is going to break your stealth as a visual cue, from a greater distance than most people. It's not like we have buffs/debuff indicators to tell us... we were told we should rely on visual cues. I don't care if they change it into a stationary pink teddy bear floating above people's heads with a rainbow unicorn hat on its head, but there needs to be some way to tell other than guesswork.

Why the hell should the guys that sneak be able to know that I can detect them? Really ? .When you try to surprise attack gank someone, maybe there should be a chance that you fail. Sneaking should be risky, The light effects on my arms and eyes should be enough if not to much of a give away.

It doesn't even play that way most of the time though. The inner light user will usually be hidden also and you will not see his Disco Ball unless you have your own. I had plenty of encounters where I detected a sneak walking by a couple of meters away oblivious to my presence (until my Ambush B) )

If you're that close other players can actually hear the soundFX of the magelight, so even though they can't see you if they're using game audio they can hear you. Just a heads up for those that don't know.

If you are close enough to hear the sound, then you are easily close enough to see the visual indicators. It has three visual cue's including the giant glowing ball of annoyance. Totally unnecessary.

It is invisible for everyone else exept people who are grouped with him.
This is just false, though always in PVE situation you won't see the ball spinning around other players, likely it is because they popped it before you were within that zone. However in Cyrodiil I can never see the magelight circling around players.

Exactly. They always say the same thing. "While ganking, if I see the ball I know to stay away" or "How am i supposed to know that the enemy nearby can reveal nearby hidden players without the ball?"
The ball is simply easymode for stealthers. and prevents player interaction which goes against the whole concept of player versus player.

This. In PvP the orb lets me know not to get to close to that player as he can possibly break my stealth.

The current inner light animation does not hurt my eyes at all, and it looks pretty badass. I don't understand the whole argument about how it makes NB's role too easy. Even if it did change to a shining light from within you, wouldn't you still have to produce as much light to get the same radius for "unstealthing" enemy players? If your character was glowing like a human lightbulb it seems to me it would be just as easy as if you had the "disco ball" orbiting around you.

I actually like the visual, right out of the original Oblivion and Skyrim games.

The only other thing to do to show you have a light shining all the time would be to make the character glow, and I tell ya, I'm freaking tired of Twilight. It's bad enough in the real world, the last thing we need is vamps running around glowing in ESO. <shudder>

Can we eventually be able to dye our ball from inner light? I would really like to see blue balls around my head.

There are several things in this game that hurts my eyes and never had the issue in another game. Shards are by far the worse. I have a 75 watt light in my small office. During the day, I have the windows open and can barely see the screen, and the shards still light up really bright

While I haven't played any PvP yet, I find while PvE questing the ball quite annoying at times. I prefer to play in first-person-view, and the ball is frequently quite distracting (to myself).

Hey everyone! We've been seeing all the feedback regarding Inner Light, and want you to know that you will see a change with this once Update 4 goes live. The particle FX and light will be scaled down in both size and intensity so it will be a bit softer and less distracting overall.

While that sounds like a step in the right direction, I personally would have preferred to see the moving part removed completely. The particle effect among the eyes and hands was actually quite fitting IMO, but I don't think a less shiny light alone will be that much better, as long as it is still constantly rotating in our primary field of view.

I used to like it, but after over four months of a spinning blue sphere I find it very nausea inducing and only use it for short periods of time. The sound is also annoying.

I dont have a problem with it. I clearly see -however- how it would bug many peoples. Perhaps a new option category for the game that allows characters to select how spells are displayed?

I remember City of Heroes, you could customize the color and had alternative casting FX to choose from.

Something like that takes time and work, would be nice for increasing build, character diversity (looks wise anyways).
